With the 2020 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta canceled, we decided to spend time with Chad’s girls in the Smoky Mountains instead. We had a great time exploring some new sights, including a mountaintop zip line!

Great video with family. Beautiful area.
Great fun with family.
Amazing video guys... Loved all of the family stuff to do in the smokey mountains. And yes Chad, you should never film or show videos when you are hungry... Loved it.. Keep up the great work...
Awesome video. Hope t make it there one day.
AWESOME video !!!!! This one rated HIGH, (as in the Maine videos), ... you always seem to be having the most fun in those .... Nice to see the family too !!! Lmao when Chad and Dad were waiting (patiently), in the boat (Clock's ticking girls $$$....) lolol .....

Adding NOC to the list. Thanks again!
Hmmm. Universal Joint is awesome, Dillard House which you went right by is also a great place in Dillard, GA

Those zip lines look like so much fun. It's a must for us to do. We'll put it on the list for this summer
Awwww😍 We so enjoy your visits.... Great video. Keep 'em coming..Love the zip line!
Fun video. Your daughters are gorgeous, and funny. That’s a compliment! Sister humor is the best humor!
I love these videos of western North Carolina. I’m actually in Franklin NC right now staying at my grandmothers house waiting for my house to be built in Cleveland Tennessee and I’ve spent 35 years up here on vacations and love it. A lot of people don’t know that when they made Nantahala lake there was a town there before they flooded it, so underneath it is a abandoned town. If you guys ever go to Sylva, North Carolina just north of Franklin they filmed the train scene from the “fugitive movie” the trains still there. Also they filmed the dam scene from the “fugitive movie” at Cheoah Dam which is near the Tennessee state line not to far from Fontana dam. Keep up the great work, love the videos!
I love zip lining! That place looks gorgeous!
Great video.. y’all just gave us another vacation spot about a days drive from us. Thanks.
They have an axe throwing place in Fairbanks Alaska!!!!🤘 And they are open
Absolutely Beautiful !!
Lovely adventure. Thank you for sharing your safety protocols and your wise example. Good music, too! Stay well.
Another awesome video. Wife and I love The Smokies. Being from the Raleigh NC area we make the trip up as often as we can.
"Living in a van down by the river!" Arguably one of the best SNL skits ever! Great video work on this - even during the pandemic, you two have still found ways to enjoy the full-time RV life. Yeah - forgetting to start recording; I do it all the time!! See you in a campground somewhere, sometime!
We always y’all’s videos, always so fun and so informative!!! Daisy is a cutie too🐶❤️
Great video guys, Love watching......
Awesome video looked like a blast especially the zip line fun fun!
Very much enjoyed. Happy miles ahead!
Chad your girls are a kick and they are adorable, and you look a lot like your dad!
Looks like sooo much fun.. love your videos.
Great video! I don't know if I would enjoy the zip line. I would have lost money betting that Tara wouldn't do it. LOL
This beautiful episode was packed with great scenes, information and featuring your wonderful family.
Thank-you for the first class editing, choice of music along with creating the desire to visit this incredible area.
It was entertaining in every respect.
You guys rock’
Regards,
We actually stayed at Black Rock State Park, toured Tallulah Falls and ate lunch at Universal Joint in late October. Beautiful! We will definitely go back and check out the zip line. Thanks for sharing. Love you guys.
Enjoyed the content so much! We have grandkids in Gastonia NC so this will be a great reference video! 👍🏻🙏🏻
The zip line looked amazing!
Thus video was great. What a great fun trip you all had zip lining that looked fun and the pontoon boat looked fun as well. Sorry Tara you weren’t feeling too well to go on the boat. Chad hope your daughters had fun. It looked like they did.
That one park you went through must have been do smaller Rvs and tents. Weird never saw a park like that one.
Looking forward to seeing more videos. Stay safe and and have a great week.
Great Video!! Our home base is NC!! Looking forward to checking this area out. You 2 are Awesome😀👍🏽
Stay Safe!
Coach Tony & Cherise
A group of us stayed in an Air B and B in Franklin late October to see the colors. Road motorcycles for about 1,000 miles in a week. GREAT week. We go up there at least once a year....Was staying in Bryson City but wanted to check out a house for a change from hotel rooms.
Great vid. Loved the Zipline. You’ll see my comment on the driving the class A With Phil and Stacy. I don’t know what happened.
Cool video thanks for sharing zipline look like it would be fun.
Another great video. We would love to try that zip line
Zip lining, cool!
Head on in to Cherokee for some great trout fishing and elk sightseeing. Decent RV place there named Happy Holiday RV Village.
Buy some throwing Hatchett and a round slab and throw them when boon docking
Sister and BIL live near Franklin will ask them some things to do around them. They are always doing something. Will be down there next year. Great video and lots of fun.
Another great video guys. Becky and I enjoy a week every spring in that area in our Newmar Canyon Star, and there’s so much fun to be had. We’ll definitely try lunch at Universal Joint in Clayton. We stay at River Vista RV Resort in Dillard and always do a day trip up the mountain to Highlands. Lots of shops for Becky to spend $$ and usually lunch at Old Edwards Inn. Keep up the good work and safe travels.
I've been through Clayton many times, but never walked around the town. It's a must do now & a visit to the Universal Joint!
Tallulah Gorge and the full gorge floor hike. I camp there in my 40' 5ver. And check out goats on the roof.
Close friends with owners there at Universal-Joint restaurant.... Great place to eat and visit with friends during fall of year.
Place looks FANTASTIC !!!!!!
We've been on several motorcycle vacations to the Smokey Mountains. We stayed around Cherokee just north of Bryson City. 100's of miles of great roads and scenery to explore. Its been about 15 years since we were in that area but we saw the "Trail of Tears" outdoor theater play in Cherokee that was great.
Love your videos and can't wait to get back to that area to visit. Gotta do the zip line. We were in NC at the end of Oct. 2020 then went south to a great COE campground just south of Clemson, SC - Twin Lakes Campground. If you haven't tried it you should. Almost all sites are next to the water.
I am so jealous. I want your life. for now I will continue to live through your videos. thank you so much for the much needed distraction in this crazy time
I love that area of North, Carolina I was recently in Bryson City north of where you guys were right by the Nantahala river. Also love the content you guys produce very entertaining!!
Hi guys, very nice video. Hugs from Brazil!
Loved it. If you are back in New Hampshire sometime...Bretton Woods Ski Resort has a beautiful zip line thru the tree tips and across a gorge type area as well.
Great video! Definitely make your way south to Tallulah Gorge. They even have some pull through sights that would accommodate your rig. About 15 miles south of Tallulah is Toccoa Ga. With Chad being retired Military you might enjoy Currahee Mountain and Camp Toccoa. This is where the men of easy company, from the miniseries Band of Brothers, were trained. It’s really awesome to walk where true hero’s from the WWII era once walked.
We took the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad from Bryson N.C. up to the Nantahala Outdoor Center a few years ago. It was a short stop at the NOC, but we had a great time.
We've never zip lined, but it sure looks like fun!
You are missing out on a FUN time !!!! You only live ONCE, ya know .........
Your Dad is so cute. A real trooper.
Camped at Black Rock in a 34’ trailer. Tight road to get there but worth the trip. Limited spots for larger trailers. Love Franklin as well and the Lazy Hiker
Another cool video. Travel safe.
We have signed up for 2021 Balloon Festia Hope to see ya'll there
Chad great pick. Chick filet is my favorite fast food. Close second , Red Robbin.
I lived in Harmony, NC for several years (seems like a life time ago) but used to love going to Craggy Flats and going down the sliding rock gor a splash down in the really cool water. Specially in late July and August.
For great beer, live music, a relaxed vibe and AXE THROWING!!! to need to go to Brewing Tree Beer Co. on the Route 151 Beer Tour in central Virginia south of Charlottesville.
Have been there we went up on the train from Bryson city and raft back down on the river.
Sounds like fun!
Clayton is not far from our North Georgia mountain vacation home. If you're ever near Vogel State Park keep heading towards Blairesville and there is a great BBQ place on the right hand side called Jim's Smokin Que.
Preach. That's my favorite lunch stop.
I love the music❤️
Awesome!
Love the outtakes... Tara it's totally a guy thing, Chad I'd probably not remember either.... lol! Another great episode, enjoy your week Changing Lanes...
I'm ready for the zip lining. The family is not quite on board. Nice video
We have not gone on the zip line because we are usually there between Christmas and the first week of January. Kind of chilly then. We have seen several of the waterfalls on Highlands Rd on the way up to Highlands. Some of those are cool cause you can walk behind the falls. Highlands has some cute shops right on the main road. I'm planning on being in Franklin in October this year before I go to the Mayberry meet-up (Oct. 14th - 17th). Thanks for sharing! Steve
We did axe throwing at Moss & Hatchet in Beaufort, SC over Thanksgiving with our kids who were visiting. It’s in our “Axe Throwing in the Lowcountry” video. Super fun!
Ya know guys if there are a lot of restaurants that give you your own room they might be trying to tell you something. Just sayin'. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
larry warren Great video, I really enjoy all of your videos and have learned a lot from them. If you haven't visited Biltmore Estates near Ashville, NC you may want to look at that for a fall or spring visit. With 250 rooms it's the largest privately owned home in America. Again great videos, keep up the good work and be safe
Great guys, now I got the itchy feet and we're here at GORV for another three months!
Guess we'll have to find some short trips soon.
In Topeka, KS - Axe & Ale and Odin's Lair, so after a cruise up 177 or a visit to the Evel Knievel museum, nothing better to relax than throwing axes!
Chad, you are awesome and make this channel. Admire your patience
Y'all have so much fun.
We haven't left town in prob two years.
Oh, Tara, guys have no common sense, either! . Smoochie dat face, Daisy. Stay safe.
We use to live in Franklin. My mom, son and his wife and,,,,, our new granddaughter still live there. We're in Louisiana now,, plan on going to Florida for a few weeks then going up there to see them for most of the summer.
Come to Brevard sometime. It isn't far from Franklin. My wife and I ride motorcycles and we'd love to show you around, do some exploring, eat, and maybe even take you to our camper on Lake Keowee and take you for a boat ride. We really enjoy your videos. You are living the life we want to live in a year or two.
Hi, you mentioned having some navigation issues finding the trail head. Google Maps lets you download the map for a particular destination in advance so that you can use it without having data or Wi-Fi. That way you can still use it to get directions. The only downside is that if you’re driving, you won’t get local traffic reports. Hope this helps.
Remember what, Tara? 😬 Always fun to see you having a good time with your family. The girls are so sweet. Constantly smiling. Of course y’all find the coolest stuff to do when they visit. Zip lining at 60 mph is hard to beat. Chad, it looks like some great footage you would’ve shot! Risking it all one-handed to share the beauty that is N.C. Man, that looked great- I assume! 😜 You know I had to mess with ya. No worries, bud. Plenty of good times shots to share. Still had Tara’s footage. Just had to crank my head 90 degrees to the left to see it. 😜(JK luv ya kiddo!) Nah, it was truly great. Thanks for bringing us along. Oh, and Tara...Bear!!!! Making sure you’re paying attention. 😉 Troy
Gotta do a review on the solo stove you have. Wondering how much heat it sends out to warm you by the fire. I had heard it doesnt put out much heat around it.. also saw a stove similar called a “Breeo”. Claims to be better made and made in USA. Would love to get some insight into it.
We will check it out!
Love Clayton, we are in area a couple of times a year.
Rock on 🤘 with the mullet.
You might try the Smokey Mtn RR if open. Also the state parks in Upstate South Carolina near the NC line are awesome such as Cesars Head, Table Rock, Devils Fork, Keowee-Toxaway, Oconee, & Jones Gap. Also check out the Shoeless Joe home in Greenville SC. Stop at Bloomfield’s in Hendersonville. NC.
Kids n I diffently want to do this zip line, but wife is terrified. 😂🤣😂
Check out Ratchet Hatchet in Ft Walton Beach FL area!! It is a blast and of course Destin is gorgeous as well with lots of amazing food!!
BlackList Brewing in Duluth MN has ax throwing right on Lake Superior
Axe throwing in a bar....Yea, I see no problems...I first heard of that concept watching a sailing vid while they were in Canada....Bet one hell of a liability insurance policy would be needed...LOL
Ah, you have given me several more reasons to go up there. We white water raft and stuff at the Ocoee, need to get up to Nantahala now.
Y’all need to try Fontana Dam. You can rent a pontoon boat and go out on the very large and very deep(400’) lake. Drive up Eagle creek to the old copper mine(one of the richest concentrations of copper in the US before being shut down when the lake was formed and it became part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Then boat up Hazel creek to the former town of Proctor which was razed for the same reason.
