Is it just me or the pop up parade one is better?
That was my conclusion as well which is why I sold my G5 and kept the PuP.
The pop up parade is way better. The g5 is totally disproportionate and not true to the berserker armor colors.

Because it is. G5 has a cool base but everything else the Pop Up Parade is simply better. Bigger size, better color, the armor doesn´t look goofy and actually looks like the manga version, the cape has a sense of flow with a proper cape like texture, and overall the figure has way more details in the armor
G5 is not even comparable. The idea that this comparison as comparable is hilarious. It's like comparing a PRIME1 to a Wal-mart figure.

so basically the blood you saw, is not from the dragon slayer but from guts body itself, why? because when guts uses the armours curse, well the armour kinda uses him actually, it removes all limiters from the human body, pain, fear, etc. so basically guts is like mini hulk, problem is the bones uhh well break so the armour ''heals'' the wearer by stabbing itself into the human so it relocates and supports the bones so the arm/leg is usable again, well until the wearer bleeds out of course, which happened to the previous owner of the armour when he was basically fighting a death battle (which alot of people think is the skull knight, as theres alot of clues towards that)
I got the pop up parade, never seen this little resin before, but the base copies the base of the Prime1Studios 1/3 scale bases. But he’s not supposed to be coloured like that, the armor is black. I’ve ordered the new Berserker armor Guts from Prime1Studios, but got a big shock in my email yesterday, saying that the shipping cost has been adjusted, up from $740 to $1,010, I was shocked by the price increase. $740 was already insanely expensive, usually shipping is $200 - $450.
The extra head in the Pop Up Parade is to put an LED in it to light up the eyes, but you have to buy that light separately which is silly.
Ohh god I would try if I got that shipping invoice 😭. One reason I don’t collect much 1/4 scale or greater. But if you only collect a few it makes sense. They still look amazing so I’m sure you’ll love it.
And that is dumb 😂 I’ve heard of no batteries but I’ve never seen no light 😂

Yeah I would have to agree that the PUP fits in your collection better, especially when it’s next to the sword and DH manga. Now if G5 choose to do a larger scale base like with the Naruto line I think you would have chosen otherwise
I didn’t even think about it but you’re right it will look much better next to the manga 😂 but yes. If G5 was same size as PuP I would have definitely kept it
Haha I'm actually surprised how the PUP Guts turned out and I think it's the right choice! ;) With a few blood effects painted on and it would be legendary!
You just gave me idea. I’m going to try and ask a friend who paints Tabletop figures to add some blood effects 💪.

I really don't understand why you are doing a review for something you have never read or watched. If you would have you would know that the $150 version has many things wrong with it. Right off the bat the G5s colors are very strange. The blood is more like jelly and has hints of pink. The swords that go in appear to be slightly bent. The skulls also have very little detail. Guts in the G5 is completely wrong. The armor is silver with yellow eyes when in fact his armor is black and eyes red. The blood on the figure looks like a child drew on it with a marker and it still has that pink hue. The ears of the armor on the G5 look like they are welded on. While the PUP looks like its part of the armor like its supposed to. The proportions of the G5 are all over the place. His head is huge while his body is short and tubby. The shoulder plates are huge and look like the go on top of the arm rather than apart of it. The dragon slayers handle is a strange spiral metal when it should be wrappings. Also the color of the rain guard is gold when it should be more of a greyish color. For the PUP I will tell you that the second head is used to put lights where the eyes go so they glow red. That's why you cant see very much color. For the price of the G5 you would want guts to have more than one peg to ensure that there is less chance of damage. Overall you would have to say for the price that the PUP is 1000 times better. Especially when you account for the fact that its $100 cheaper and bigger and also has the capability to include lights.
Easy because I have it and I can 👍. But yeah overall I did say I enjoy the PuP more which is why I kept the PUp and sold the G5. In the end even though I’ve never seen or read berserk I knew something was off about it. But as far as my review I still stand behind the base and tower on G5 being superior. They did look really nice in person. Don’t think it translated well on video.
The pop up parade is even better in the base and looks way better without blood. The manga art cover for this pose is supposed to be dark and mysterious showing guts in the full moon kind of like a wolf. The G5 just ruins the element of badassness that the original manga art cover gave it through making it look like he fought although that’s not the point of the cover art. The pop up parade did it justice.

Way too much love for the blood and base, the PUP is far superior for the quality sake especially considering it’s PVC not resin. In my collecting experience resin usually carries detail much, much better. I appreciate your video but definitely have to disagree, sometimes less is more. Easy dub for pup for me.
I did say PUP was overall the better choice. I ended up selling my G5 and keeping the PUP. Just the different categories I was comparing G5 happened to win.
*I just wish pop up guts figure had blood splats on his armor/sword and a skull or arm of a dead guy on the base would have been perfect.*

i dont know where you got it but this is not 50 bucks figure, its like 100 bucks if you buy it from japan, figure its like 65 usd without shipping, box its pretty big and heavy shipping cost its expensive, retail stores in usa sell this between 80-100 usd.
When I bought it I got it for $53 without shipping from amiami. Not exactly $50 but it’s a nice round number for the video 😂
You need to read berserk!!! I think you'll like it. Also the g5 is ugly to me and why do they have gold on it. It is out of place and makes it an eyesore to me. I agree the pop up parade is a nicer looking statue. Great comparison it shows that more money doesn't equal better looking

Pretty sure I mention that in the video. Plus I did end up choosing the PUP. The only thing the G5 studio has going for it is the base which does look awesome. But I ended up selling it and keeping the PUP 👍
The PUP secondary head can be fitted with a red diode (316R) to have the eyes lit.

basically for smooth brains, he meant that you can put a red LED in the head to make the eyes glow, which looks cooler i guess
