Thanks for the video! If it is too fast for some viewers: hit the customize wheel on the top right hand corner > play back speed > and adjust it to your liking/preferred speed! 😊
Hey, just something to keep in your head, from personal experience. Had a patient who was on a continuous feed. Checked residual and it looked just like coffee grounds. This patient was very stable and had never had any issues like this so we were thinking “what the heck is going on here?” Suddenly we realized that the patient had just received a dose of ProStat protein liquid which is coffee colored, then it was mixed with the beige colored feed formula, and the result looked just like coffee grounds!
We have an infant that has a tube in which we change weekly. We mostly use bottles, but sometimes have to finish in the ng to get all necessary feeds. Do we have to worry about milk in ng tube going bad if every feed isn't refreshing milk.
Thanks for the video!

It would be nice if you provided a rationale
Do you flush prior to aspiration of the content?
Check residual first, return to the patient, then flush, med, flush, med, flush
This was great!
Thank you
Best position for vent so you don’t get back flow?
After feeding the patient shall the tube have water or air??
very informative
I though the confirmation for NG tube placement is CXR , not KUB
chest/abdominal x-ray
Yingmei she said confirmed by abdominal xray
Our nurse told us not to pump air into the tube?
Can u use sterile water to flush ?
I like her!
