  • Dr. Rhett Polka of One80 Physical Therapy joins the usual cast on this week's episode. Dr. Polka graduated from Loveland High and earned degrees at the university of Northern Colorado (BS Kinesiology) and Slippery Rock University (Doctor of Physical Therapy). While developing the One80 Physical Therapy System, Dr. Polka earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) designation from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and became Board Certified in Orthopedics (OCS) from the American Physical Therapy Association. Dr. Polka’s favorite activities are coaching his son’s Pop Warner football team, and attending all of their basketball, lacrosse and Tai Kwon Do events.

    Elly makes this show. If she ever leaves then I’m gone too. Also I really enjoy the knowledge shared each time you all have a doctor on the show. Keep them coming. Great episode.

      Curious to hear your thoughts on machines like the Compex, and Power dot? would these be used to activate muscles that aren't turning on or are they another method of turning muscles off? also, is dry needling in the same boat here? Loved hearing your thoughts on a lot of current PT looking to change what I do to recover and starting to do some research as to what I can do to best care for my body.
