About Ben Bailey:
Long before he got behind the wheel of “Cash Cab,” Ben Bailey left his home in a small town in New Jersey and headed to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of a career in show business. Six weeks later he found himself on stage at The Comedy Store. Shortly thereafter, Bailey returned to the East Coast and started hanging out at the comedy clubs in New York City. He quickly became a crowd favorite and has since performed at all the major festivals - Montreal and Chicago (Just for Laughs), the (hallowed and former) Aspen Comedy Arts Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival - as well as at clubs and theaters around the world.
By 2005, Bailey had appeared in several commercials, on Fox's "MADtv" and became a regular on "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn." He also made stand up appearances on HBO, NBC, "Star Search," "Last Call with Carson Daly" and "The Late Show."
Bailey drove the smash hit series “Cash Cab” (still in syndication around the world) for over 550 episodes. The show ran from 2005-2012 and again from 2017-2019 (bravotv.com/ca.... Bailey was nominated four times for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host, winning the award in 2010, 2011 and 2013. “Cash Cab” won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show in 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2013, the show appeared in TV Guide's list of the 60 greatest game shows ever.
He’s also hosted several other TV shows - including NBC’s "Who's Still Standing," "Best in The Business," Discovery’s "After the Catch" and NatGeo’s “Brain Games” - and appeared in multiple pilots.
Bailey starred in two specials for Comedy Central (on.cc.com/37nV.... He released "Road Rage and Accidental Ornithology" (amzn.to/3I4QiFx) in 2011; and “Ben Bailey: Live and Uncensored” in 2016 (amzn.to/3pZJClT).

One thing I noticed is that when other comedians tell a story, we only laugh at the punchline. Ben however, is able to make us laugh even on the setup of his jokes. He’s so talented and funny!

I miss the Cash Cab. It was something me and my father spent many hours watching while I was growing up, and we always enjoyed it. He passed away last April, but those memories stick with me. Ben, I appreciate you and thanks for the comedy man. You're awesome.

There are no dislikes on this video. That is truly remarkable. This is one of the greatest stand up acts in the history of comedy. Hands down.
One of the wonderful things Ben does is that he often delivers half a sentence and then pauses, which causes the audience to fill in the last part of the sentence in their heads, which makes the situations even funnier. Ben has one of the best delivery methods in the comedy business. Truly brilliant humor Ben!

Wow! I was completely mesmerized by this performance. I remember seeing Ben as a young adult, but watching this in my 30’s I’ve realized just how brilliant he really was. He should just be doing stand up all the time. He’s got the chops and memorability of a cultural icon.
I seriously laughed the entire time. The fact that it's mostly clean is a testament of talent. You're one of those people that can make someone laugh just because you think it's funny 😂

@@bbaaspencer1 I think that's why OP mentioned "mostly clean." Although to be fair, "clean" comedy generally refers to stuff that doesn't include obscene/racist/rape/etc jokes and not necessarily profanity. It isn't the 80s anymore; profanity really isn't a big deal.

I have lost track of how many times I have watched this whole show, start to finish. It is my single favorite stand up show. Timing, delivery, everything is just masterful. Got to see Ben do standup in person a few years back and it was an outstanding show.
Years ago, a friend showed this to me on Netflix, and we fell in love with this Masterpiece of stand up comedy from one of the last people we expected to see doing stand up: yeah, "the Cash Cab guy". We rewatched it often because it was so good and quotable, but were heartbroken to find it was taken off of Netflix some time later. Yesterday, on a whim, we googled it to see if it was on any other platforms we might know of, and lo and behold, the full thing was on UA-cam, uploaded by the man himself. So thanks Mr. Bailey, without this we likely wouldn't have seen it again.

Ben- my wife and I saw you perform a few years before you were on Cash Cab at Gotham Comedy Club in NYC. Ever since that show (like 15 years ago), your bit about the lazy eye STILL makes me crack up to this day. Genius!

I think I may have watched this special about 6 times since it first hit UA-cam. I show it to everyone I know and still enjoy watching it as if it just got released yesterday.
This is excellent! No sleazy jokes, almost no bad language and not agressive and shouting at the audience. What a talented and very witty performer - thank you for sharing this 'family suitable' comedy! :)

Unknown in the U.K. - but I can wholly recommend this chap to anyone who enjoys laughing at clever and funny observational comedy in the same vein as Seinfeld, but still original and individual!

I started watching and had to stop, I couldnt find the video again when I decided to watch the rest ... because I was searching on Netflix ! How is this genius not on Netflix !!!
The funniest part is the constant expression of frustrated confusion as if he's the electrician looking back at all the odd frustrating situations surrounding him and thinking "really?".
While I do have my favorite, “go to” comedians, I have to now change that list to include Mr. Bailey. Literally had me laughing out loud to the point my wife looked and me and asked me, “What in THE hell are you watching?”

I read an article or comment section that happened to mention Ben Bailey and that he had a stand up comedy act. So here I am, searching for him on YT. I loved Cash Cab back in the day, and he always seemed like an affable guy on there. His voice and verbal cadence were easy listening. I wish him success on his present and future career plans.

I've always thought he looked a bit pissed off on CashCab. now it's confirmed, he's usually a bit road raged.
You can't drive for work in NYC and not be road raged. Gotta love the mentality behind it. Let's cram hundreds of thousands of people into a few square miles and then wonder why everyone has road rage.
It's a pleasant surprise to discover his comedic talent. Very funny. I enjoy watching cash cab. I love this side of him in equal measure.
