Configure and update a MS Teams Room System (MTR system) step by step

Is there any way for the controls to be on the display itself?

No, no way tog have the controls on the monitor on the wall. Crestron had a way in the Intel based devices to temporarily move the config interface to the monitor, that is actually how I create these UA-cam clips, but that way does not work on the new Asus based systems that they switched to. I haven't seen this in other manufacturers' devices either.

I assume you mean the background for the monitor och monitors on the wall connected to an MTR system.
This can be done by creting a file named SkypeSettings.xml in the folder C:\Users\Skype\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.SkypeRoomSystem_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
Add the following lines to the file and change the filename.extension to your filename:
Custom
filename.extention
100
100
100

It is important that your image is 3840x1080 pixels no matter if you have one or two screens. In a one screen system, the right part of the image will be used.
After this is done, restart the computer.
