Fantastic vehicle! I have had my 2024 Solterra luxury package for a few weeks and I already have over 3,500 kms on the odometer. I drive quite a lot in the city and on both medium and long distance voyages. I have taken her on a few light off-roading stints and had quite a lot of fun as well. We have tested DC fast charging and the experience was great. 30-40 minutes of rest, eating and bathroom runs to get us up to 80-90% charge. I cycle between 50%-70% in the city since it is much better for battery longevity and only charge to 100% the night before a long trip. I had to drive through several really nasty storms, with torrential rains and very powerful winds. In all of those situations, she drove like a dream due to the centralized weight of the vehicle and its great handling. I have owned Subarus for years and am used to the eyesight system shutting down sometimes in poor-visibility weather and blizzard conditions, however the mix of Toyota and Subaru safety systems in the Solterra have managed to stay fully active in conditions where I was not even able to see a car length ahead. Loving my experiences with the Solterra!
I just found your channel and I have to say that I love your level of detail and significant effort to cover every aspect of the vehicle. It is hugely informative!
@@CarandDrivingCarReviews Honestly, thank you. It is really nice to have such robust review content. Your time is greatly appreciated. I currently have the 2023 Crosstrek PHEV and somewhere down the road it would be nice to have a full electric Subaru as well. Going to keep a close eye on your in-depth reviews!
Thanks again for this wonderfully detailed review. I will be taking delivery of my new 2024 Solterra Limited this coming week. For us in Canada, the Limited it a mid-level trim, missing the blue synthetic leather color choice, digital rear view mirror, ventilated seats, and panoramic sunroof. Other than those things, the Limited is the same as the Touring.
We test drove both this and the Toyota BZ and liked this car more. The BZ was very disappointing. This Subaru has a better feel, the steering wheel is light and smooth, more camera features, and brake features. I loved the square steering wheel, thought it was cool to drive. Subaru just knocked off $6k off the touring and you do get the $7500 federal rebate. So that over $13k off the original $52k for the touring. Seriously considering it but never spent this much on a car before

Hope you enjoy it
Nice job flushing out the differences between this and the bz4x. Definitely has it's appeal.

Why does Subaru UK state that charging port is on Right Wing?
This is one of the best reviews
Thanks!
Amazing review congratulations
Thank you!
This is the terrible Toyota BZ4X with different name.
