Alot of great things in the solterra, the one thing I like the best is that you can by easly avaiable buttons turn on and off road sensors without obnoxious work, warnings and other stubbles. Lets you control much more yourself.

Very nice review. I had my Solterra (essentially the same as the B4z) upgraded in June. Now, the percentage charge is displayed on the console, the decreased range associated with the AC has been adjusted to a more realistic value, DC charging on road trips is now 3.86 (a significant improvement over the former 2 times) and the range improved by releasing some range reserved in the buffer. An advantage compared with eg the ID 4 is the heat pump in the Solterra, but fortunately, like the ID 4 preconditioning is lacking. (I understand that this will remedied in later versions.) I have driven the Solterra on two road trips. Went great (including DC charging). All in all we are satisfied with the Solterra. We find that the full charge delivers ca 420 km of range. Not so impressive but nevertheless not a problem on road trips since the number of charges is now ca 4 time in a 24 hour period. As for the finish, not surprisingly this is excellent (well-known Subaru/Toyota quality). As noted in the review, the safety of the solterra is pretty well top too.

@davidnicholson6901 . I have had my Solterra since November here in the UK and I am very happy with the car. Comfortable, quiet, no rattles or squeaks just a really nice drive. . I read a few months back about the battery management upgrade etc and I’ve been wanting patiently so I decided to email Subaru uk and they said the update has been recently released. I contacted the dealership and the car is going in next week. Do you know how long it took to install the upgrade as the dealership didn’t know as this is their first. Happy motoring.

@@johnnyboy7459 Hi Johnnyboy. I am pleased that you also are satisfied with your Solterra. I am in Norway and the dealer upgraded the battery management system. Took about 2 hours I think so we went shopping in the meantime so rather painless. should go fine for you too.
