I love watching Eddie Fiola's old interviews and stuff from the 80's, he's such a genuine guy, he hasn't changed a bit. Even way back then he was talking about making his own frame.🤘
Wow Bill totally blown away with your comments on raising the production of your competitors to raise the industry as a whole. Super attitude much respect, thank you for such as great interview.
Thanks Bryant, I truly want the industry to build the best for the entire sport. This is a recreational activity that we all choose to enjoy, and we deserve to have the best equipment. Regardless of the level we compete at. I appreciate your comment! Thank you for watching!!
Great interview!! Hey it's Dave from Ohio. Remember RAD2 tricking out on the super trick bike? LOL.... So much fun! A gentleman and scholar Eddie! You're the King bruh! Also we use to make bike parts in metal shop back in the 70's. I have plenty of scars to prove it!! Insane building a bike at 12 Bill. I wish you and yours the best sir!! BMX 4ever!
Thank you! We didn’t plan an interview… Eddie just stopped by and our Camera guy Daniel was finishing up our Tech Tip Tuesday so we figured why not! Nothing planned, nothing scripted, just a quick chat between friends…
Great interview, looking forward to more hopefully. I picked up a Pro-former back f&f and built it in 2016 and took the bike back to the US on a trip in 2017 all the way from Ireland , got to hang out with Eddie & Martin and fulfil a lifelong dream at Huntington Beach. As much as I love my Pro-former the former Former-Pro really knocked it out of the park with the pressed rear drop outs, the space for the modern pegs on the forks and the fixed seat rake and I'm sure there's other build improvements that I'm not aware of! Thanks for keeping the sport alive..
Great interview! I’ve bought a bunch of Eddie’s bikes from them and they have outstanding customer service, straight from Bill! Hopefully I’ll get to meet my idol one day.
Awesome interview, am still a fan of the songs "The Reflex-Duran Duran" and the extra long version of "Axel F" because Eddie did some freestyle shows at the Dutch racing European Championships back in '86. Their show was totaly refreshing to a lot of racers but also skateboarders. Fun fact i rode with Eddie and Martin in a pretty sketchy Hollywoodramp at this youthcentre called Siësta in Hengelo the Netherlands where they spend some free time afterwards. They dropped in the vertramp wich was pretty rare those days. Good to see and hear that bmx evolved soo muvh from the early days ☯💪🍾❤
I'm relatively late in getting back into old school BMX. By the time I had discovered that Eddie was making the Former Pro they were no longer available. I'm wondering, Bill, do you guys have plans to build another run of those frames I the future? Also, a book was mentioned briefly. I bought the Billy Henrickle Fiola book last year. Does Eddie have another book coming out?
Sorry you missed that run, Eddie and I have a few things up our sleeves.... And Eddie has his book , it is the one on raddesigns1986.com/products/when-i-was-king-the-eddie-fiola-story
@@SupercrossBMX. oh ok. That's the one I read last summer. I thought he had ANOTHER book of some sort in the making. As busy as that guy is I wouldn't have been surprised if he did. LOL
Bill, you don't have to apologize for showing this alcohol - Mezcal - beverage. I saw your videot hen and it showed a very responsible way of presenting it. Moreover I want to remark the fine humor you showed.😎👍 That mom that complained for almost an hour doesn't obviously understand a thing about drinking culture - no offence to her. What in most cases the young people of today arn't taught is drinking culture. Then they would know to drink in civilised way with right context to culture and heritage.😌 Best regards and keep up the good work!👍 David😎
Thank you so much! I truly appreciate that! And yes, drinking responsibly is something that is missed along the way... I guess it has been for years. Glad you saw the humor and hope you have a great day!!
No, Kuwahara is not currently for sale that I am aware of. It was available for License when Howie came by, but that was years ago. RIP Howie. ( www.bicycleretailer.com/north-america/2013/07/12/beloved-industry-figure-howie-cohen-74-dies )
That original white frame is so cool, and incredible that you kept it! Should make a complete bike with it!
I want to build it up exactly like it was back then!
I love watching Eddie Fiola's old interviews and stuff from the 80's, he's such a genuine guy, he hasn't changed a bit. Even way back then he was talking about making his own frame.🤘
Eddie is a great guy. Proud to call him a friend for so many years... decades...
This is really good!

Glad you enjoyed it! We are just trying to document the History of the Sport one way or another. I look forward to part 2... and 3...
really enjoyed this and based on all the different things you could've discussed, you and Eddie should do a podcast together, maybe quarterly!

If Haro sent somebody a cease-and-desist order, about the dual top tubes, why did they never Sue Hutch?
The Kuwahara name is for sale? Do you have any more information Bill?
