  • 3.6%. This is the rate of the female executives for the top 50 companies in Korea. Also, Korea has the lowest rate of employment for women in their 30s to 40s among the OECD countries. Living as a working woman is too tough in Korea.

For a society and country that pride and claim themselves as having strong family relationships and values, their long working hours and social drinking with colleagues after work seems like a total contradiction to those claims. How is it possible to build strong values and relationships in the family when parents and children only be together for a few minutes everyday? The children themselves also forced to study long hours. Sleep four hours pass the exam, sleep five hours fail the exam.
What kind of family life is that? In my country employers and bosses that forced their workers to work more than eight hours will get into fistfight with those that oppose it, and very often employees accepting lower pay job that provide better work-life balance.

    • @1flash3571
      @1flash3571 7 місяців тому +1

The problem with your logic is that people will never be satisfied with what they have. Once the workers get no more than 8 hours a day work, then they will demand 7 hours a day for work. You see that shit in Europe. Too many vacations, and too many benefits. No society is perfect, but YOU think it should be. YOU ARE DELUSIONAL. All society could be improved, but it all depends on the leaders who are in charge of the country to do that. They set the tone, and behaviors of the rest of us.

It would be closer to the truth to say that when people worked much longer hours and children did not see their father's face for a week, social and personal respect for family values was higher than it is now. The world has changed, and the function and status of the family as an institution have changed.

This is why Korean population is declining - the government should fine companies that treat women badly instead of throwing money at couples who do have children because that is not working. If a man said "lets just promoted him now" that company would have been sued and lost in the U.S. My husband works for a General Manager of a division of a worldwide company that is a woman and she is a wife and mother.

That's not an actual fact. Even if they did attempt to make a study, the current 3% of women in high positions wouldn't really be a fair assessment, and I'm certain a percentage of them have children. Many are choosing not to have children because they will be pushed out or passed over if they do, not the other way around.

It’s all very well you want a SAHM but in reality many countries now are so expensive to live that both parents needs to work in order to bring in enough money to cover the cost of having a family: property/school/bills/expenses etc. If the husband is in a super well paid job then perhaps the wife can stay at home and be a full time mum, but not all men can 150k+ per annum which is the minimum for most family to survive on a single income in countries like US, UK, Canada, western Europe, Australia and other rich nations.

I feel like this view discounts or devalues the absolute need of an emotionally present father(not just a financially present one). Yes they need the mother but they need the father just as much. And both father and mother need regular breaks from being a parent. With all those jobs you want to work for your wife to be sahm I hope you are factoring in night nurse services, cleaning services, nanny services to help her too. Because being a parent is not your whole identity as a father and being a mother is not her whole identity. If youll be the only one working then your work needs to also provide for the mother to take regular breaks.
Also you need to have a plan in place for her to maintain workplace viability. Meaning if she’s going to give up decades of her life to motherhood, as her skills and marketability in the work place slowly become out of date that becomes a liability to you and your family. she needs to be kept up to date as much as possible on the job market and skills to thrive in the work place even while she’s not working. Because If for some reason you can’t work(car accident, sickness etc), and she needs to pick up the slack it will be very difficult if she’s been out of the work place not updating her skills for 5-7 years because she was raising kids.

That is the stupidest thing a man can think.
It has never been a natural rule of society to live like this, it is only propaganda which doesnt work - and only make kids, women depressed, and men become self entitled, violent boss types.
Never believe that it is natural, in every normal society in ancient times or today’s natural living communities women give birth and then groups of men and women help raising the kid.
“It takes a village to raise a child”
It never worked if it the sole responsibility of ONE single man to earn for food and everything. This is a crazy idea and in fact not true at all.
Even if you think u work for your family, your future wife would work LOADS alone in the house isolated
      - as teacher
      - nursery teacher
      - cleaning lady
      - chef
      - cook
      - PA assistant
      - consume girl (because I think you would expect your wife to satisfy your sexual needs even she was at home all alone with a baby working the whole day)
And she would work in these 5-6-7 positions FOR FREE!
Kills all marriages, gives room for domestic violence, partner abuse from the DAD side saying
“ I am working my ass off while u re only here doing nothing playing with the kids, I want my supper now heated and want my daily blow job “
Usually it starts something like this..
You cannot separate a woman from the outside world and you cannot make her economically dependable of a man.
      Highly dangerous.
A woman statistically is is most danger because of the above in her immediate family.
No matter what the “Bible says” or what other male-centered religions say, I hope u are aware of the fact that these religions only exist 2-3000 years but humanity exists for about 500,000 years.
If social structure would have been like this (patriarchy - men directed , women oppressive culture), we would have died out much earlier.
Educate yourself man!!! Look where it lead to close off women while stupid religious and political leaders murdered whole nations , millions of people, this is a culture in which men are so self-entitled that they became monsters.
You think you know better, you think you should work in the world while women have to raise your kids.
Look inside yourself and see how utterly selfish it is.
Women are not yours! Kids are not yours, nobody have the obligation to raise your kids.
It is your task which you can do by sharing
ALL housework, ALL childcare with sour wife.
The kid is your wife’s and yours but more importantly a human being and the whole society have responsibility to raise him to be a capable adult.
Revise your deeply ingrained views, women staying at home has never been healthy and actually never really happened besides the 60s America because it was advertised on TV.
Even in historical times where women had NO RIGHTS officially they always worked in the fields, as dress makers, sales persons,
And the most they work - depriving them of every social connection - when they stay at home alone with the kids.
      FOR FREE
Problem is.. women have rights now. But work laws havent changed a bit.
In Sweden, the Dad is forced to stay at home after childbirth by law, it is a much better society, economy is good, equality among people is high.
Dads are not for after 6pm and for the weekends..
Or if women “had to” stay at home if she also agrees to do this, she should at least earn the same as a working other parent.
      And the last thing is:
You already expect sour wife to do this or that. So sou expect another human being to do as told by you. Women on average think “ I wish I could meet some nice, emphatic guy with whom I can live and raise a kid TOGETHER!”
It is not impossible to find many girls who want to be stay-at home mums, but it is only for the same reasons why you think you should work only: they have been told to be stay-at homes because they have been told that this is their only purpose to please their father/husband/ kid. They only “wish” to be those wives because they would feel ashamed and be shunned by their parents.., pastors maybe.
But the reality is, if you really want to make a woman depressed and with anxiety then you expect this from them.
Imagine yourself to be fully in the hands of your spouse:
      - physical advantage
      - fiancial control
If you wanna live in this construction, it is a family modell controlled by fear. I could never do this to anyone.
I would never earn solely by myself in a family. Simpky because it really gives room to self-entitlement, even if one dont want to be controlling. They will be. But if this does not bother you, and you know exactly that you want to be controlling - well, then it is foul from the core.
Just think about things before you think you believe in something.
It is not you, it is what your parents or some 2000year old book make you believe.
Just remember: the Bible was born in times when a woman was stoned to death if ahe was raped. Just remember, it is not very ancient a religion and its brother is Islam, their roots are esactly the same.
And yes… women can survive in saud arabia for instance, or in Afghanistan but they are suffering in this kind of stay-at-home, dont go out, dont work, dont meet anyone system.

Don't hire women just because they are women if they are not qualified.
