Aardappels poten bij Agro Duiveland met hun New Holland T7.270 Blue Power, Grimme hakenfrees en GB 430 snarenbedpootmachine. Voorop de trekker zit een Steketee koppensneller maar door de makkelijke grond op dit perceel was deze hier niet nodig.

The thing that I like about this video is how the machine forms the raised beds. It kind of reminds me of slip formed concrete or curb and channel concrete as it is pushed back out of the kerb making machine prior to being buttered with the cement paste mix and trowelled off.
That's just me I guess.

Yes it does, but the video of the rubber tracked machine is quite annoying as you can see the nose swing back and forth as the GPS corrects and recorrects the travel path.

Waarschijnlijk wordt de machine die voorop de trekker hangt gebruikt om de grond wat los te breken in het geval van wat hardere grond. Ik heb zo'n soort machine alleen nog nooit gebruikt zien worden. Hier in de buurt wordt meestal een cultivator voor op de trekker gebruik, of zoals je al zei, de frees voor op de trekker. Het nadeel hiervan is dat de grond die door de pootmachine gebruikt wordt om de ruggen te maken wel voor een deel weer is vastgereden.

Is he using the front implement as counter weight? Less weight means less compaction right, there must be a reason he's carrying it around as its not used in the video.

I wondered about that. I figured that the front implement is there as a counterweight and also to provide extra weight to the front axle to aid traction.

Yes you're right about the dependence on GPS and that will only increase. The trouble will be if GPS is interfered with and the machines are no longer able to be driven by a human.

Zero. Potatoes need to be planted at the right depth to grow well. Leaving them on the surface results in theft and spoilage of the tuber as it goes green and uneditable.
