After searching for years on Craigslist, ebay, pawn shops etc, I got lucky and found this for a steal! So rare you can't even find pics of this model on the web easily
Thanks man, I am lucky to have 3 of them! This red one, the watermelon plaid, and another red one that I had custom swirled to look like blues yellow version
I like my RGZ112p. Sadly, you’re never going to get $2k for an 80’s Yamaha. They feel more expensive but the market demand just isn’t there. I’m considering buying a 1988 RGX II direct from Japan.
Maybe not now, but they said that about my Steinberger I bought for $400 and the nightswan I got for $50 and look them up on ebay. Both those guitars go for over $3000
@@chromaticmusic Yeah, steinberger's really tanked for a while there. But even when I was in highschool in the late 90's to early 2000's they were going for maybe $750-$1250, IIRC. Anyways, I ended up ordering that decent pearl white RGZ II I saw on Reverb for $331 or $490 to my door after tax and shipping from Japan. There was a mint one in black selling for about $1400... Which is what they feel like they're worth, but. ┐( ˘_˘)┌ I also have some cool funky junky japanese guitars from the 60's/70's that I got for dirt cheap. Maybe it'll be worth something some day, but I just like how different they are. And that's enough for me. Edit to add, my red Kimberly (Teisco) guitar doubled in value according to prices I'm seeing on reverb. I think I paid $175 to $200 for that one.
Hi I have a guitar identical to this model and was wondering how do you fix the bridge so that the low strings don’t keep hitting the fret board. I’ve never strung a Floyd Rose before or done a set up on a guitar and it’s made it a bit harder to do since it is a hard to find guitar. Do you have any tips for a newbie on how to set this thing up/ adjust the bridge properly? I think the back spring tension is pulling the bridge down lower than it should be. I don’t want to damage it on accident . Thanks!
My dream Yamaha! What a lucky dude!
