    Some reviews I'd like to see from Ben:
    - The FA deck he's riding
    -OJ Elite Urethane wheels (there isn't a good review on these anywhere)
    -Welcome Skate deck
    -Shake Junt grip
    Great channel man! Keep it up

    Yep, it's settled... definitely getting the radial slims over the conicals! They for sure look like a more "all 'round" type of wheel than just for transition skating. Thanks for another awesome review, Ben (although I'm late to the party, as per usual)! 🤟

    I feel it in my soles and my soul when I ride the classics on chunky ground. I've been wanting to try the radial slims but had to wait until they got Degros approved. 😉 I'd like to see a review of some of the lesser known American made brands like Orbs or Wreck wheels. Wreck claims to have the world's best urethane. 🧐 I'll send you a pair if I get to them before you do.

    I’ve only had one pair of formula four and I flat spotted them one day I took them downhill. I don’t know if the color had anything to do (they were green wheels instead of the regular white), but I was pretty disappointed. I did a lot of power slides in a very hot weather though.

I got some indie Andrew Reynolds hollow and Thunder Team hollows . My gut tells me to put the indies on my Toy and keep the thunders on my flip . What do you think ? Also I'm planning to buy some venture lows , ever since you did that review on them! Hopefully I can get a reply soon .

    Hey Ben, can you look up and try Promade Skateboards? This is a brand from Los Angeles but is very popular in my hometown. The local shop there has them and it is the only brand of boards that the local skaters would skate because of its price and shape. I feel like you might like these boards due to your taste from the videos. I also skate and live in Vancouver Island, really hyped to be in the scene, have been following you for a while but never realized that you live in BC. Love the content!

    Hey I’ve been watching your videos since earlier last year and I stick up to date when I can, but I need help choosing a wheel to skate. I skate an 8.25, thunder 148 hollow lights and spitfire classic formula 4 51 mm wheel. Where I live there’s no parks so I only skate street spots which consists of stairs, manual pads, gaps, and ledges. What wheel would you recommend for my type of skating?

    • @bendegros
      @bendegros  5 років тому

      I love 51mm classics. You could try the radial slims. It wouldn't be too much of a shock. If you like a smaller wheel a lot of the other spitfire models can be pretty chunky. I am still working on getting used to wider wheels.

      Ben Degros thanks 🙏 I’ll try them out & me too! But I’ve had them for a while now and they’re small so I can’t lock into crooks anymore not sure if it’s because they’ve worn down or just my positioning, but thanks I’ll see how those skate!

      Here I’ll review them for you rn. Super super super inconsistent and pressed like 20 ata time when u get a FA/Hockey deck made at PS Stix (however ps stix can be amazing when u get the perfect one but they’re all over the place consistency and size wise) Amd then absolutely amazing and consistent if u get a fa/Hockey decks that’s bareback made the way to tell the difference is the sticker and the engraving one will have ps serial number with a white/red sticker and the other ones will have a black/white sticker with no ps serial number those are the better ones and the ones u want u don’t want ps stix. They are very very steeep decks and very boxy shapes for the most part but ps stix presses 100 decks at once to cut corners to the bottom press ps stix ones will be flat

    • @supratrd900
      @supratrd900 5 років тому +3

      @@ssbsts1239 Pretty much sums it up, I had an 8.5 PS Stix Hockey that delaminated on me within 2 weeks. Then I got another Hockey the Ben Kadow first pro deck which was press by Bareback which lasted me a month and a week. I skated a Quasi too which was perfect. PS Stix are hit and miss. South Central (Politic, Northern CO, Vacation before they went under,) and Pennswood (Scumco) are some of the best wood I have skated.

    Does Gino even skate anymore or does FA put out a pro model for an OG?

      He skates. He just only needs to put out two insta clips per year of basic tricks cause he's Gino.

    Can I ask you what wheel from Spitfire would be the closest to the Bones SPF? Does anybody know? (I'm riding my third set of Bones SPF Clears and I LOVE THESE! But lately I feel like I'd like to try Spitfires for the first time - after 16 years of skating :-D - and I would appreciate if they'd be comparable to the SPF formula) THANK YOU!

      101 spits are super slippery on slick concrete, metal ramps and skatelite. It depends what you want them for.

      if he likes spf which are even harder I would say go for it

      @@bendegros Thank you Ben for this comment, because I can't stand slippery wheels. I feel like SPF are really grippy but yet hard enough not to be a cruiser wheel. I'm looking for some "hybrid" that's good for everything and in the case of Bones - it's SPF (for me, I understant this topic might be subjective)

    Still can’t Beliieve u went down to 147s again, lol. They hurt my eyes to even look at them. For whatever reason skinny trucks bother the shit out of me now and I was one that was soooo Stuck on venture low 5.0’s and was going to ride them for life... 5 yrs ago or so I switched to 149s (148 wasn’t out yet) and it made so much of a difference in my skating maybe it’s bc I’m big (275 lbs) but I can’t even skate trucks any smaller then 148 anymore they’re soooo unstable I just fall off my board and there’s so room to pinch for front crooks idk maybe it’s just me but small trucks drive me insane now after going up, those wheels are fire tho spitfire formula fours are the best wheels ever made I ride the 52mm conical full 99’s. (Wud ride 51 in these but they don’t make em, smh)

      I am actually really liking being down to 8" again. I do like bigger set ups but I skate smaller ones more naturally.
