Classic Uphill Tip1 Step on Your 1 2 3

- This first tip in a series of 3 tips to improve your uphill diagonal classic skiing. The idea? Learn to ski slapping your tails, then making your feet land side-by-side, finally make your offside ski land in-front-of the "kicking" ski. Finally, in this simple drill, learn how to drive your ski and not transfer your weight too early.
Looked at many videos about basic diagonal stride technique and only yours discussed the proper landing position for weight transfer, then as a bonus you broke it down into three landing position options. Then you went the distance and encouraged me to intentionally do all three landings so I could feel and know them and choose the best landing, being number 3. Now that's how you teach.Bravo brother.
I just re-watched this - thanks again, I think you just solved a mystery for me!
Thanks for explanation of the tailslap! Great video!
You make it look easy
Awesome lesson. Thank you!
I couldn't stand on that hill like that, let alone do anything! lol I'd be hard pressed to herringbone up it!
Thanks for the great tips.
I bet you can! Thanks for watching Carl!
New video released today, first video in a three part series, Uphill Diagonal Stride. Let me know what you think, and please share with friends: ua-cam.com/video/bACppI6fZNY/v-deo.html
Great video! Thanks for the drill, and great explanation.
Nice video thank you! Just started to realize what’s wrong I do after it.
wow! look at that cat ski uphill! cool.
Haha, that's totally me at 3:27. Hopefully not much longer.
Thanks!
How do I go fast enough to pass skaters? (and then veer into the woods where they cant me back😆😆). Where are they weakest: uphill, warm soft parts, icy parts??
Who else came here after watching James Earl Jones invokana video where he talks about learning to ski uphill?
Am I the only one who keeps twisting his ankles?
Welcome to the club. lol Still love the sport and am so lucky to have world class trails in my backyard (Gatineau Park).
I thought a smaller step would help me up hill, as opposed to trying to do giant steps. .welp ANYTHING is better than herringbone. 🎏☠️🐢🎏☠️🐢
и даже лыжня ему не нужна 🤔
