- The adapter allows you to mount your DELL Alienware AW3423DW monitor on VESA compatible mounting arm, wall mount or any kind of VESA compatible stand.
Just remove your original stand and replace it with the adapter, simple and easy to do!

According to the specifications of that particular monitor, it already supports VESA 100 mounting standard. Once you remove original stand from the monitor, you should see a recessed hole in the monitor backside. If your monitor's arm VESA plate does not fit into the recessed hole, you would need a VESA 100 spacer that we also sell, you can check it out here: www.etsy.com/listing/1276095971/vesa-100-mounting-spacer-vesa-100?ref=listings_manager_grid.
what's the functional difference between this one from Etsy and the one included in the box
There is no difference. We've designed this one in case somebody did not receive the adapter in the box with the monitor. Also, lots of people buy used monitors and often they do not receive the adapter. Our adapter should be considered as a replacement for the official one.

do dell keep shipping the monitor with this crap bubble wrap thing that damages the screen? i wonder if they will ever change the packing method with the same plastic protector as the samsung oled one
I believe this one was shipped with expanded foam-type of thing.
@@creat3dlab12 thats their default, the foam is bad to the monitors, scratches them or even melts on it and leave markings u cant remove.

That monitor already supports VESA 100 mounting standard, but if you need a spacer in order to lift off mounting point from the monitor (in case your vesa plate is bigger than the recessed hole in the monitor) we do have solution for that problem: www.etsy.com/listing/1276095971/vesa-100-spacer-vesa-100-standoff

@@creat3dlab12AW3423DW? Yes sir. Mine is rev A01 made July 2022. The way mine works is exactly like the stand. It just snaps in in place of the stand. I don’t have to u screw the stand lock mechanism. I can send pics

That monitor should already support VESA 100 mounting interface. If you're having trouble fitting your VESA plate into the recessed hole in the monitors backside, we do sell VESA 100 spacers that would resolve the problem. That particular monitor already has VESA support :) Check out the user manual, you can find it online.
Why on earth would you buy this when you could spend like $5 at a hardware store for spacers? What a massive waste of money for something you will never see lmao.
This particular model does not have VESA 75 or VESA 100 standard mounting hole spacing, that's why you would need an adapter, and regular spacers/washers won't work out of the box without you modifying your VESA standard plate.
