Good review guys! That is the trim level I have been looking at. I live in Hawaii and don't really need a 4X4 and will buy that truck and keep it for a few years until the new 4Runner is in its second year of production then switch. Keep up the great reviews bros!
Love the truck wish it was a manual transmission That’s what I dislike about New Xtra cab Tacoma no manual transmission any trim they’re only in the four-door configurations only
Love the cloth seats, look very durable. I'm so over leather which is overrated. Leather is high maintenance, hot and most start creasing and or wearing at certain points within a few months (especially the thin cheap leather that most use). I keep seeing Taco's that are 20+ years old and the cloth seats have barely any wear. The new fake leather could be an option for some, and hopefully it holds up better than the real stuff. I currently have leather in both my vehicles and it's a handful to keep them in good shape and looking good, including the use of seat covers (what's the point of leather when you have to use seat covers?)
I've never had any issues with the leather seats in the various vehicles I've owned. A simple leather wipedown once a month during the hot summers and using a windshield sun shade is all it needs. Also helps that I'm not a fat-ass.
@@Saisei87In humid climate you'll be sweating no matter your size. Lol The ones that are solid leather are swamp ass central. Perforated leather seats are better because they breathe.
A 2024/2025 F150 regular cab 6.5ft bed with the 5.0l 400hp V8 which is now standard is 37K!!! That still includes decent sized interior screens, etc. Unbelievable how much this costs especially since it doesn't even have heated seats or anything... This car should cost 35K MAX including destination.
Bought a new 2002 prerunner. Put 300,000 miles on it. Original a/c, alternater. Never burned oil. Sold it in 2018 for 5k. They will never build them like that again…ever.
It’s cool but 38k for 2d and 2wd is not good price .i want this but not at the price point they are wanting . If you add any addons your getting to 40k . For 2d….. nope
Why is very short fuel range is 187.5 miles, I look at your fuel gauge. My 2022 Toyota Tacoma it’s 350 to 415 fuel range miles than new one! I guess I’ll trade in 2023 than 2024.
Is it just me, or does it seem this go around that Toyota is REALLY trying to prove to their core customer-base that their new vehicles are worth what they are asking? Why try so hard? They know those ofbus who value what they USED to offer won't be sold on this new tech-reliant fleet. Sad to see it go. Would love a new startup to offer basic and solid trucks and cars.
avg MPG.... 12.5 LMAOOO also after 25 years they still cannot make a backseat door on the two door model. Unreal. Imagine crawling back there in 2024. Whya re they so lazy. just make a damn door for the back seat that only opens when the front door opens.
They need to make this model with 4x4, a manual, dump the electronic parking brake, and bring back the manual transfer case shifter. Toyota is clearly relying heavily on market studies, missing their cult market that made these trucks desirable, and are building to the lowest common denominator. RIP, Tacoma. 🪦
There are so many configurations and packages for this new truck. They made something for almost everyone. Clearly they listened to their customers and not just relied on market studies. You’re full of it.
@@CDX7 None of the customers who made these trucks the legend that they are will find these configurations useful. Only street-bound bros will find the 140 inch wheelbase acceptable. That wheelbase cuts it out of off-road usability entirely. You’re full of it.

Thanks so much!
I would love to see these modded "Marty McFly" Toyota pickup style! Great job by Toyota coming out with this trim level
I had a 2003 Pre-Runner it was great for living in Arizona.
Thanks for the time stamps.
No problem 👍
What a good way to start the morning.
Fantastic video guys!😸
Glad you enjoyed it!
Whose bright idea was it to not have the back door open??
@devildog5354 👎🏻
@devildog5354 absolutely. Watch the videos of people showing reaching back there. It’s a terrible idea. I just bought a 23 Tacoma.
They need to be fired
Great job guys first time watching i am thinking about this trim level just have to waite to test drive one. thanks again joey.
Thanks!
I wish they offered the hybrid in a 2 door version. It would be nice to be able to option the SR5 with a locker, too. Nice looking truck, though.
What's the point of putting turbo if you are not going to improve mpg
its to be compliant with new epa emissions requirements but still give you horsepower of a v6.
cant find them anywhere
Looks great. I think they’ll sell a lot.

Toyota improved the key areas that need improvements and that will keep it top of it class for long time.
Toyota is on a raaaveee with these new releases like the just announced camry. These are going to sell like hotcakes for sure!
Not really. More expensive , reliability unknown. Poor tow capability, poor mpg .
Did everybody get some insane pay raise I haven’t
My work went from salary base to time sheet. So nope, the complete opposite. Also F Toyota with this garbage pricing and garage MPG.
@@chrisx5127aren’t these the same mpg from the last generation tacomas? If they put the 3.0 engine from the Supra it would be worth the price
Does the prerunner come with remote start?
They lost me at 40k for 2d 2wd at the end of the day how is worth 38k for 2d🙃

Insane new Toyota Tacoma pickup to buy.
$40k for stripped down 2WD 2 seater. LMAO affordable my a$$
If you want a full cab and 4x4 just get the trd sport it’s still less than 40m lmao
@@yo-ly5egno way that truck is sub $40k more like $50k
@@callofdutyguy9It's 38k with no options and 2WD.
Sadly you need 4WD to get the manual which makes it 44k.
Do you think the back is big enough for 2 40 & 65lbs dogs from time to time? Do you think that material would hold?

You forgot to mention that it has a rear locker
2wd off raod focus seems silly

Needs 4wheel drive
Make it 4x4 for Canada 🇨🇦
Need to lower it
hey its not 'may have saw' you should say 'may have seen'
It’s really nice! It’s very cool, it’s a two seater! It’s a great price
This needs to be 4WD. It snows in a good portion of this country. Two wheel drive is useless.
Can't believe we can't get 4wd in this configuration
It’s never been 4wd
Prerunners have always been 2wd…
@@AG-rk5hj Y'all are correct
I saw on another channel they are making one SR5 grade with this body style and leaf springs. No locker though.
Think about it...they dont want it to compete directly with the Tacoma. How hard is that to understand
U fire it up and u skip will be nice to see what happened
$22,000
Well it’s near double that at 38k😂
40k for a 2WD mid size truck is now “affordable” 🤣
No power seat or tailgate? Too much like a truck...

6500 tow rating is the lowest in this class. what a disappointment.
How much do you need to tow?
