People will start to buy from more sustainable sources small manufacturers very soon! And I truly believe in a some time in the future to plant own tobacco, or buy from small home blenders. Nice video thank you
Didn't even know it was coming out yet, so thaks for posting. Fortunately i was able to get a few tins. How would you rate it or how does it compare to the previous years. Is 2019 better ? Thanks

STG is still going to produce Sutliff and McBaren tobacco. They have stated once the reshuffle is over they will offer both with a reduced portfolio size. I.E. the popular stuff will continue, but the ones that sell less, as well as a lot of the bulk stuff, will be going away. I couldn't say whether Cringle Flake or Maple Shadows will come around again, but it's not impossible.
Idk if you’ve seen the news but allegedly sutliff is going to be completely shut down and none of their blends will be made also allegedly some if not all of the Peterson blends will be discontinued by 2028 too. We’ll see though as these are all according to a supposed insider.
Simpel, EU🇪🇺-Regelation ....... Company must know what the presaler use, you must document this etc. When not okay, you must pay a much of money ..... 🎉
Thanks for the video. This year’s edition of Krampusnacht is the same blend as this year’s Cringle Flake just in alternative packaging, so I’ve actually already had the blend since I was lucky enough to grab a few tins of that when it came out a couple of weeks ago. I can’t recommend it enough. This is one that is great now, and it will be magical with some age on it. Cheers!
Hopefully Sutliff does the smart thing and either sells brand or open sources their blends so other companies can keep them going in spirit. I'm going to have to sniff around and see if I can find why they are shutting down, pipe smoking seems to be having a major come back so sales should be going up. Obviously not to the same level as the glory days but going up regardless. I wonder if this has something to do with the UK officially laying out full legislative plans to ban smoking entirely.
Bought 12 tins of the 2022 release thinking it would be the best thing ever, highly disappointed that a blend made with 20 year old leaf still has to be aged to be good. And stop saying “McClelland, McClelland, McClelland “… sutliff will never ever make anything close to McClelland, it’s a bit misleading to be using that name to sell a sub par blend.
@@squiremuldoon5462 sorry you didn't like it. But you are quite in the minority. And for the record, they are using McClelland sourced leaf in this blend.
Clueless goobery here again. Sutliff uses mcclelland leaf purchased from Mike and Mary McNeil to make each years cringle flake. This year is the last of the different reds that were purchased. Recheck that palate lol
Thank you sir for the reminder. Knew it was coming but the date slipped past me. Got it ordered thanks to you🙂
Feel very lucky I was able to get a couple tins. Looking forward to this! Thanks for the review!
Thanks!
Thank you!
I know we are worried about our tobaccos and I am sure going to miss Maple Shadows but the people who are out of a job is the worst part of this.
Nice review. Just ordered another tin of 2023 cringle. Might try this 2024. Sad that it will be the last.

Where did you get that nice large pipe stand from?
Looking forward to trying this years! I have some of last years batch still.
I hope it’s better than the 2023 version. As many said about that one… it was very dry after opening the tin.
Merry Christmas to you all!!!

Would you be able to do a video on theology and pipe smoking? Like why it’s ok to smoke a pipe.. for conviction reasons.
Is it worth it?
I’ve liked the flavor of each Cringle Flake I’ve tried. Just wish their red VAs didn’t bite me. Sounds like another good one.
@@ParsimoniousPiper Ya for all my love for them, you're not wrong.

Just bought one for this year and another to cellar.
I don't get why they would sell out to a company that is known for killing off companies/blends.
Money.
Sutliff was already owned by Macbaren so it happened long ago.

Went to buy and sold out :cc.
R.I.P.
Sad to hear it's the last. I hope they don't kill off all the Sutliff and MB blends but it's not looking good. Did you stock up?
@@johnnyhoover5870 I hope not either Johnny. I picked up a few extra tins but nothing substantial
How does it compare to Carolina Red Flake?
I haven't tried this year's Red Flake but compared to the previous release, this is sweeter, more vinegary
As a Richmonder, Sutliff leaving is super sad. We used to be a tobacco powerhouse and now we just pay lip service to that past.
Yeah i was able to snag it today from SmokingPipes btw
Not sure how. Comes out tomorrow.
Same here, I understood that it wouldn't be available until 1800 EST today. But smoking pipes was already selling it.

Y’all must have a hook up. Not seeing it on the website at all
Got my order in just now. Thanks for the tip.

Sure am sad about us losing a lot of great tobacco, but praying for the many people who will be losing jobs/careers.
Am I the only one that likes to eat something sweet with my pipe ?
Well, at least I have plenty of Macbaron Vanilla Flake and Sutliff Vanilla Custard to last several years.
Ha... It's first time I've seen it... Cur...!

First lol 🎉😂
Mcclelland Christmas Cheer was phenomenal. Kringle Flake is nice but doesn't hold a candle to Christmas Cheer. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄
They’re not even close. I still have about a dozen tins of the Christmas Cheer, and I’ll pop one this Year.
You realize sutliff uses McClelland leaf that they purchased from Mike and Mary McNeil to make cringle flake? Clueless goobery

Sutliff doesn't have that choice. They are being mercilessly slain by the dark fired overlord STG.
