Yes honestly Brad I will always appreciate watching builds and seeing the before and after of remodels more than some of the recent videos you’ve put out. Thanks enjoyed this a lot!
Amazing reno and so nicely shown and explained. It's great for the owners to get to decide exactly what they need for the stage of life they're at. I'm totally in favour of that nice big laundry room! ;)
Speaking of "stage of life", this home looked very spacious and wide open, but I never heard you use the words "handicapped accessible". Should we just assume that you are of an age where you think of those things when you are designing/building? I also wonder how you dealt with the typical 3-4 steps into the front door entry, and also the garage access? Enjoyed the tour very much.
Came upon your video trying to get ideas for raising the 8’ ceiling on my 60’s ranch. This remodel is amazing! It’s way out of my budget, but very beautiful
That’s a good idea to raise your ceilings from 8 foot… Typically you could leave the extra walls at 8 foot and then work inside and the ceilings through the attic space
Beautiful job Brad. Absolutely love it and I gained several ideas to my new constructed home. Even though my home was just finished last week now I know what I'm going to do in my lower level because that's unfinished.
I absolutely love it Brad. Wow such an amazing job by you and your subs. I love your vision from something old and out of date to beautiful and modern.
This is everything we would need to do to an old 70s ranch we are thinking of buying. (Even the stairwell in the middle of the tiny kitchen and living room)
It’s been so windy here in Nebraska. They were having unable to install the pond liner so hopefully I’ll have an update in the next 2 to 3 weeks… Hang in there.!!
I love what you have done. I would only change 1 thing. In the kitchen I would not have the glass cabinet so close to the stove. All the greese from the stove will go up and the glass will be hard to clean. Me personaly would have placed them 2 feet further away. But thats only me. Love what you have done. Love the fireplace to it gives so nice heat and its efficent.
LOVE this video Brad. I'll watch it again. Super remodel. Making the basement into livable space was great. This was like 10 episodes of Bob Vila's Home Again wrapped up in 20 minutes, and I loved that show. You are keeping up with the times. I could ramble on, but you get the drift. :)
I LOVE this home! If I were able to build a home for myself and my dog (and kid when she comes to visit... once she moves out, that is). I currently live in a 4-level split home and with my disability, it is hell. I grew up in a bungalow, so have always wanted to have another and at this point in my life, it's what I NEED. A girl can dream, haha. Thanks for the tips, Brad. I would definitely go with the closet in the bathroom vs the linen closet elsewhere in the home. A friend of mine recently did this in her master bathroom and put the rolling shelves in it too. Not only is it good for the shelves that hold the bath products, but it makes putting towels away easy too, When I was a kid (70's), the linen closet was always in the main hallway to the bedrooms and it never did make sense. You'd. be in the shower and realize you forgot to grab a towel and now you are dripping wet and have brothers with their buddies over. You wind up drying off with a face cloth or something! We had double sinks but the cupboards were under the sink where the plumbing was so anything other than bottles of product had to go out in the hallway. Dumb. This house is beautiful and I love these videos where you show a renovation/update. Take care, Brad! Heather🇨🇦
She had your right some of those homes in the 60s and 70s which I live in as well as a kid…didn’t make a lot of functional sense but they continue to rebuild those homes over and over again
@@BradtheBuilder Yup and it's a shame that it takes a luxury home builder to think about the small details. If only the 'mid range' home builders put that much thought into things like this. It doesn't have to cost more to do it that way, I wouldn't think. Then again, maybe it does.
@@heatherd.9390 I think you came up with a video for me on how to add. Luxury features to a mid range home for very little money…. Do you think people would watch that?
Hey Brad,I love the white Brick as long as the paint sticks! I saw a house here in VT that either they white washed the Brick or the paint washed off,UGLY😳. To answer your ?. My uncle was mean to the core,so no, I never went pee in his pool! If it was today, I would🤭. You and your crew did a fabulous job with the modernization of the house🎉. I like a linen closet👍. The roll out shelves make it! The inserts are the way to go if that's all you have for heat. In your case you can put glass doors that open all the way for show. Then you can close them when you go to bed as to not wake up to a cold house😊. JO JO IN VT 💞
Sounds like the people that painted their brick did not use the proper paint product! Now is a good time. If your uncle doesn’t like people being in his pool, go back some and dump a bunch of laundry detergent in it to help him clean out what Pee may have gotten in there through the years. 😜
Brad, what’s a ballpark estimate for a remodel like this? I have a similar Ranch Style home built in the late/early 70s-80s and I’m interested to know what kind of damage to my bank account something like this would do. Thanks in advance! Love the content, keep on keeping on!
@@bradyconnelly5524 i’m not having any difficulties getting jobs. I’m actually being very selective with the customers that I select because I’m trying to slow down a little bit… I’m used to running 10 to 12 jobs. Now I have three. ( I like the slower piece.❤️)
I like the brick. Everyone is doing this so called modern white and it’s really annoying. Like lipstick on a pig / trendy. Don’t get me wrong I love what you do but I hate this white and black trim trend
One of the nicest homes I have seen you remodel. Spectacular remodel. Beautiful home!!!!!!
Thanks Theo! I really appreciate you always reaching out and having a kind word🤠
This house is beautiful. Love the white brick with the black trim. Thanks Brad for the tour.
Thanks Mary! It’s always rewarding to see these projects come together at the end
I didn’t know you guys knew what bricks were 😁🇬🇧 Great work Brad
Haha! Who do you think taught us about bricks … all our ancestors that came from the UK 👍
Big fan of the how to save money tips
I’ll try to continue to think of more ideas for you

I’m working on more of these kind of videos, but it takes almost a year to complete a start to finish. That’s why they’re not that many.🤠😲

Beautiful remodel! Do you have the rough dimensions of the kitchen and living room? Thanks for the video!
I think the kitchen and dining area were approximately 25 feet and the width would’ve been close to the same
@@BradtheBuilder Thanks so much!!
Love the remodel, the finished product looks great. Could you please comment on the rough cost of the project along with total square feet involved?
This was approximately 2500 ft.² and it cost around $500,000
Thanks … appreciate the insight
Beautiful home !!! Great video
Beautiful remodel of this home !
👍🎺🎺
❤️🤠
Problem with the closet and no door from the bathroom is humidity. If not vented correctly you will have damp clothes.
We do this all the time and we also install exhaust fans per code and we’ve never had a problem
Beautiful job Brad
Nice remodel. Love all the finishings in the kitchen. Who manufactured the cabinets?
I’m not sure who did the Cabinets… I’ll see if I can find that out for you??
Love the remodel videos. My house is an option here in GA.
❤️👍
This is amazing Brad! That's how people imagine their renovation turning out, and it rarely ever does 😂. Great job 👏👏👏
Thanks so much for reaching out! 👍
Looks great!👍🏻✌🏻
I love this!! I’m just curious of ballpark of costs for the owner, I want to do my home!!
It was around $500,000… Sorry for the late reply
Hello. What SW White did you use? Also what is the stain color on the timbers? Thank you!
Sorry for the late reply… I don’t have a record of those colors
Brad is getting sponsors!!! You’ve officially made it!
Can you believe it!
Looks spectacular! Roughly how long was the remodel process?
It took approximately six months from start to finish
Great looking remodel! How long did a project like this take?
It was a 7 month project

Yes I do
Can you share or is it for sale?
Hi . What type of white exterior color is that ?
Make sure you go to Sherwin-Williams and get the specific exterior brick paint! A lot of other brands do not hold up
Shout out to trim Carpenter on that one.
