Get a DSL line. You don't need bandwidth to play games, you need a stable connection. Many providers have high speeds but unstable, peak hour slow downs. With a DSL line your connection will be as solid as you possibly could get. Use the fiber for uploading and downloading/ streaming. Use the DSL line for gaming. Just my thoughts. Digital subscriber line's are usually dedicated.

Most that have cable (coaxial cables) share a node in the neighborhood and get slow downs/ ping variations when the node becomes loaded. Just a research of phone companies in your area can yield results of DSL providers.

That lag you experience is what console players have to deal with during crossplay. All the PC guys are cruising and we are just frames behind.
