I really appreciate your videos. I am a widow and when my husband died last year I was lost, and now a year later so is my yard. i am so embarrased and I cant even get a landscaper to return my calls. My husband always handled these things and I didn't have a clue of where to start. U have given me hope and courage to go to the hardware store and buy some tools. I think I can do this. thank u
So sorry about your hubby. Are there any young men in your family you can pay to mow for you?I used to mow my own grass but I was tired of the sinus headaches etc.I pay a guy to mow mine now, just the front and small sides.I have all trees in the backyard.
Sorry for your loss. Many women are in your shoes. There must be mowing services doing your neighbors' yards. When you see someone mowing & they have a nice truck & trailer (sign of a good business), go up & ask them how much it would cost to have your lawn mowed. Tell them you want to have them do a trial run and if you like how they work (mow, edge & trim) then hire them on a month to month basis. If you live in Florida, where the grass is cut all year, don't sign a contract. Have confidence, good luck and God bless.
i use to deliver appliances and ive seen yards like that with a spotless inside the home and ive seen spotless outside and the inside of house is torn up .ive walked into million dollar homes that animals used as bathrooms everywhere and some of the poorest people you've seen with the cleanest nicest homes .cant stand when people judge someone on one little part of their lives sometime things happen and things get away from ya and some times ya need a little help ,God bless you for helping someone out that might have been going through tough times
I love your message and encouraging word, having been in that place where the roof was leaking, the transmission failed on my van and the washer had a water pump failure along with the dryer just plain dying.. The homeowners insurance canceled us o n the inspection for the annual renewal..
That reminds me of people whose cars are pristeen on the inside because they throw all their trash out onto the street without a thought to what they are doing to the countryside.
Kind, generous, hardworking selfless people are my favorite type of people. Good On You! I have done this for friends family and neighbors for years. I feels good to do good 😊
Unkempt overgrown property expedites wood wrought, causes structural damage, staining, and various other issues including being mosquito havens. Excellent Job on the video highlighting the negelct and how it will quickly go back the same way without fixing it all, followed by regular maintenance. The mower manufacturer or even your local dealer needs to reach out and sponsor you somehow if they haven’t already. Handling that mess was quite a product endorsement.
The compelling thing about these videos isn't the process or the jungle being tamed. It's the depiction of what a little hard work can accomplish. Labor + Intent = Outcome.
@@blkice2789 Yeah, it's really sad that people feel they are entitled to your time and efforts and that they shouldn't have to compensate you for it - in any way shape or form.
Only good answer is that it is a vacant property. With all due respect, anyone who would let their property deteriorate to that degree has some real issues. Your clean up was excellent. I trust it was appreciated!
Very thoughtful and kind of you to pick up the junk instead of just weeding around it! And, after all that weeding, you mowed it!! Great job! Thanks for sharing the video.
Yeah, lawns have to be mowed regularly to look decent. Something about the chlorophyll residing in the top of the growth. This worked for me on a lumpy, brown 'lawn' just by cutting it regularly at the same height! Good job, Sam!
I'm an avid viewer of Top Notch and Quick Cuts vlog. And i think you're one of them too. A very satisfying work is what i've loved most. No garbage left, loan mowing is clear. Althoughbit's freebor not, still you need to make the best Then the viewers will always be excited for your new vlog. I assure you. More vlogs, nice watching.
Amen! I just lay down the same comment and deleted it after I saw yours.. All about laying down some heavy weed killer everywhere starting over otherwise it all comes back stronger than ever you’re totally right Weeds love to be cut down without having the roots ripped out or killed with the weed killer because they just come back with a vengeance
If one can't do yard work (for whatever reason) and doesn't want to do it (again, no HOA to comply with, no desire to deal with it, etc) then that person should live in an apartment. That could be such a lovely yard!!! Can't fathom having this nice brick home and letting its surroundings get so out of control!!! Bet the neighbors are pleased, too!!
I’ve done several of these overgrown yards in the past 2 months , since I’m starting my lawn care business here in Miami, FL. What software do you use to edit, I would like to record a video one day and give it a try. Thanks for the video.
Nice job geezer. I like jobs like this, the results speak for themselves. Urry up 'onda an' do a cordless version of this mower. It's the way to go now.
If you had to bag all that thatch .. how long do you think youd be at that property .. and would be an extra charge to bag and take the grass/thatch ..
I would have charged a little more for the clean up of the pieces of wooden fence laying all around. Or would have asked them to move that stuff before I came. Great work as always. I am learning about dethatching and when best times to do it are and this shows why. I am new to this but this yard, the way it looked, would have been a higher price on the work to get it looking nice then a regular service fee after that for weekly, Would offer to bag it as well seeing as there is so much grass debris, but would charge for it as well.
That was basically manual bush hogging! I've done that once or twice... out in the country by some out buildings. Snakes are the largest part of the fun!
being a former AC tech, we always hated coming upon this type growth. most home owners dont think about this area until theA/C ,gas man or meter reader needs to get in there.
I want to preface my comment with ... this is your profession and you can't give free service, so if these customers do not want to pay for removal of the clippings, then you don't do it. But, on a personal level, how difficult is it to do only what the customer agreed to when you know it needs so much more to meet your own personal standards? You do an amazing job, subscribed!
Wow I don't say this to many of these videos on here but to do all you did with that little push mower I'm impressed that was enough of a back yard to do with a small rider mower but wow you did an awesome job with that little push mower well done
Electric mowers today are awesome. Any woman could do their own lawn, with the exception of a person who has limitations, due to their health. I've seen 80 yr old Amish ladies mowing with a reel mower...little at a time. Sure hope this owner is not dealing with bad health issues .. You are kind. Thanks for helping them. Those poles in their yard should never have been placed in one persons yard...developer....failed on this one. Where were the inspectors??
I want to start a small business for residential lawns in the summer. Carry all my equipment on a trailer and just continue to do weekly cuts for clients. Need advice
I do a lot of fishing ponds here in the UK. Do yourself a massive favour and get yourself a Stihl harnesss. They are brilliant you will be a lot less fatigued and no back pain.
If roots are a problem, a good solution would be SHEEP. I’m sure a local farmer would drop a few off for about the price of a weed eater. Six of them, one week. They would eat everything right down to the dirt. No yard waste. Free fertilizer to boot.

In my make believe world, my son mows my lawn and the money saved gives him an inheritance.
You can do that my dear ✌️
Let me know if you did it ?
Great if to much get a service

That yard has the most utility boxes, utility posts, gas lines, meters, and what all that I've ever seen in one yard.
Good clean up job.
Oh my gosh we said the same thing. Although I said if I’d lived there I’d hafta move cuz that would drive me crazy.
@@jodidavis6595 If you had kids they'd be running into that dang thing all day long while playing because it's right in the middle of the yard lol

11:26 It's rather annoying that the utility companies put the utility boxes in such evasive parts of the yard.
That was up to the developer to do it that way. That would be crappy cuz now you have a permanent easement to the backyard
As a hvac tech I can appreciate this. (Most of the time lawn care guys blow the grass into the units)
yeah well cuz they are lawn care guys. Sam does "Yard Maintenance"
Looks much better! I hope homeowner can keep hiring you to do lawn maintenance because that yard needs some good, professional help
Should have been outside mowing my own lawn in the 20 minutes i've spent on the last few videos. Great content.
The compelling thing about these videos isn't the process or the jungle being tamed. It's the depiction of what a little hard work can accomplish. Labor + Intent = Outcome.
Your leaf-blower is the most fascinating of all your tools for me. Works like a magic machine. Great outcome
I hope she gets you back on a regular basis. Could be a sweet little space 👍
Wow, I am surprised to see that all the utility boxes are in the backyard! Oh yeah, great job!
Agree WTF
You must be a proud Indian! You're surely happy with your scalp job. Still a bloody mess though🤠
@@mikeoconnell4229 it was the white man that invented scalping.

I noticed them too, awful.
Looked like a jungle! Nice job!
When a yard gets that far out of control, it definitely takes more than just a one time mow. Looks WAY better than before you started.
thats what people don't understand I bought a riding lawnmower and some neighbors are cheeky they expect you to cut and maintain their yard for free

I hope you brought some joy to the residents. You truely created space in more ways than one.
Had a blade on my trimmer for just these spots. Big job nicely done. You got probably the best walk behind in a Honda.
Thinning and topping old shrubs also makes a difference... Great work!
Who would own a nice home like this and let it go like that? Nice job rough cleaning it up. I hope the homeowner hires you to bring the yard back.
people get old ,injured or die the house could be vacant
That was a mess, cutting my grass I be exhausted. I couldn’t of done this in one day myself. You did a good job.
great job. does it ever worry you the thought of running across snakes in high grass or under boards and stuff? you got balls of steel!
That was some yard! It looks like they could’ve started a lumber yard on their own. Great job!
Sad to say if they don't keep you doing it every week it will look the same in a month. Great job!!

*whoever invented the WeedWhacker was a genius*
Wow ,I bet you that gray shed has a nice mower in it.
Probably still brand new never used lmao
They usually use them one summer then leave old gas in them and then they can't get the mower to sart next spring then this happens

Great job, and yes, the customer will have a need for more than just cutting done. Again, good job.
You made it more than passable but presentable too. 👍🏼👍🏼
Good job, now the fence needs to be replaced. Now the property doesn't look abandoned.

Nice job, the Honda making it happen! That yard just needs a full makeover..lol 😲🤦♂️. Keep up the good work and be safe!
Great job! This would make a great commercial for the Honda lawnmowers! It ate right through that high grass.

I'm wondering what was the point of the downspouts on that house if they are draining right against the foundation anyway 🤨😆😆
