She is awesome. When she sang this on the Doctor Who episode "A Christmas Carol" she blew me away. One of the most beautiful things I've heard in my entire life.
jb47vintage I know, it was so, so beautiful. It was like an angel singing. Its also how I found out who she was. ;) C: Praise the Lord, this song is so lovely ^_^
If Batman vs Mr Freeze Subzero gets a live action remake, having Katherine Jenkins singing In The Bleak Mid-Winter would show the emotional element of Dr Victor Fries and his devotion to beloved wife Nora in his quest to find a cure for her terminal illness.
In The Bleak Midwinter - poem by English poet Christina Rossetti and written in 1872. Music by English composer Gustav Holst. Please check out Susan Boyle singing it. She has the voice of an angel.
Can't we all just agree that we are here to listen to her VOICE?! Saying that she looks 'like a plastic barbie doll' is still commenting on her looks and it's still irrelevant.
@northman01 How can you say that? 'A model who can sing a little'?! She gets photographed because she has an amazing voice. She deserves all the photography an fame she is getting because she not just some ditsy scumbag; she's something to be proud of! I would like to see you pull off a talent like hers! HMPH! ಠ_ಠ
Totally agree! She is a singer who happens to be an amazingly beautiful woman! If she couldn't sing we would never have seen her! Singers get their pictures taken, regardless of their looks! Take Steven Tyler from aerosmith, a singularly goofy looking man but he can sing! Ozzie Osborne,fuckin ugly! Only reason we know what they look like, they are singers!
She gets photographed because she’s a dyed blonde and is surgically enhanced. Susan Boyle sings this wonderfully, naturally, and calming. No high pitched ear piercing notes
I adore Katy, don't get me wrong, but if you like this song Dan Fogelberg does a superb version on his album "The First Christmas Morning." Check it out. You won't be sorry.

The fish like the singing.
iWhoProductionsHD Hahahaha! That's exactly how Katherine became my favorite singer, and how I found out about her--the fish!! ;)
Add me onto that list 🤣
I was always wanting to know what this song was, thanks Jason 👍

Tis my favourite winter song and Rossetti most talented writer,goblin market among others
She actually made me cry.
If Christopher Nolans Batman films are continued Kathrine Jenkins could be the perfect choice to portray Nora Fries.
Doctor Who "A Christmas Carol" brought me here!

Watching the Doctor Who episode she sings this in and she has one of those nice calming voices.
agreed
Voice of an Angel !!!
Nice, but I prefer the traditional Holst setting.
@HGM1138 Me, too!
@HGM1138 and... me too! Viva, Doctor Who!
who arranged this piece?
Gustav Holst.
Silver Back - The original tune was by Holst, however this is the Harold Darke version.
@HGM1138 Me too! :D
Who is he? Its A Christmas Hymn.Katherine most likely sang it in her when she was in her local Anglican church,She was a former star Chorister
I think susie boyle smashes it
Then why, my dear, were you listening to this in the first place?
you need your ears cleaned.
@HGM1138 ME TOO!
