      No kidding. I grew up in FL going barefoot. However, with the fire ants nowadays, it's not the best idea for bite free feet.

      I begged my mom when I was a child to go out barefoot. I have never liked shoes. My shoes come off at the door when I come home. I'd be barefoot everywhere if I could get away with it. It strengthens our feet and arches when we go barefoot.

    Never heard it called grounding. I just knew it as going barefoot. I've walked barefooted 4 miles on a gravel road then 3 miles more on hot pavement ta get ta town then back ta where I was staying.I harvested haybales from the fields barefooted. Only thing it did for me was buildup a thick callus that had ta be sanded down because to thick ain't good. Good luck have fun

    No need to go for walks at first. Just stay bare foot around your home outdoors. Mornings are great with the dew on the grass and a cup of coffee. To toughen your feet up faster, on hot days stand on asphalt or any surface that's hot as long as you can stand it. Repeat an hour later. Repeat the next several days. I have been doing this for over 20 years in the north as soon as it get warm enough. I'm in Florida now and go bare foot all day every day. Bottom of my feet are like leather.

    It is a fact that grounding thins your blood by a factor of 3. The red blood cells negative electrical charge is increased and they repel each other. Hence thinner blood ,which flows more easily around your body. People on blood thinners have to be careful with grounding . Blood pressure is also significantly decreased as a result Humans used to be grounded most of the time until we invented rubber soled shoes. We are the only species that don't ground anymore., and look at the state of our health. You need to watch the grounding movie on youtube

    There are definite benefits of grounding. I have watched documentaries, read a lot, etc. I am planning to get a grounding mat soon and try it too. I work on a concrete floor and even if I have to sit a lot during the day, I notice increased joint pain and anxious feelings when I don't have enough barefoot time.

  • @mazzy131
    @mazzy131 4 місяці тому

    I would consider Earthing rather than grounding. Meaning, I wouldnt buy a mat that plugs into a socket. What you are doing in this video is Earthing and is way more better. Grounding with an electric mat, can cause a nasty interference that could lead to just feeling blah. The good electric comes from the Earth itself. Ive been Earthing for years as I have been in therapy for over 10 years due to a really traumatic event that happened to me. And its been so nice to just close my eyes and think in my head what Im giving to the Earth and what the Earth is giving back to me. To me, Im placing in all my yucky nasty energy in the Earth because the Earth will know how to clean that up better than I could. And in return the Earth gives me all the good stuff. And Ive noticed the more sand I walk on, the more exfoliated my feet are. Soft and smooth! So there is more money in my pocket and I dont have to get pedicures anymore. Laying down is nice too. Especially in fall. Thats my favorite time.

    I've been barefoot most of my life~ even more so now that we live mostly in the desert. Even when I lived all those years in WA State, I couldn't wait to get home from school or out of work & take my dang shoes & socks off. This does require a whole lot more foot care however. I spend a lot of time on caring for my feet, lots of good foot stones/scrubbers & such~ I'm always looking for the "best ones".
    *Maybe Steve should carry a little folding stiff broom/rake thing~ he can clear the path in front of him when it gets prickly or too rocky.

    As a kid, I'd walk barefoot everywhere on the farm. Except when my dad would put a couple of loads of gravel down. That stuff hurt, the little rocks were the size of a quarter. I like to go to our large rock pile and walk on the big rocks barefoot, I definitely got grounding there, but we didn't call it that! The closest I get to grounding now is that sometimes I walk outside in my socks. I can't really do actual barefoot walking now, I had surgery on my left foot big toe and had the entire toenail removed. I still have a bandage on it and have to keep it clean. So, grounding will have to wait. EYL!!! 😻😃

    Now that you've been carnivore for a while, spend be interesting to know what you eat on a typical day. Tmx

      We are very boring carnivores since we don’t do dairy or spices it really limits the variety 😆 Steve eats 99% of the time air fried chuck steak and poached eggs….occasional lamb, salmon or sardines or bison. I eat mostly the same but I’m obsessed with flanken ribs so I eat those a few meals a week and sometimes ground beef and occasional ham or bacon as a side and air fried fat chucks. A couple times lately I’ve incorporated some chicken but it’s been 6 months or more since I’d had poultry I bet. We lost our taste for poultry and pork kind of early on. I also drink bone broth often and we do both eat pork rinds. I think that’s about it. I do use pepper and onion powder on my steak sometimes but Steve is only salt.

      Also, do you eat grass fed beef/pork, organic poultry, and free range eggs?

    There are grounding kits for your shoes or sneakers as well... actually you can make them yourself...the more in nature you are the more power you have...more in tune..like animals....your "in"stincts or "in"tuition kicks in...your awareness of your surrounding becomes more prevalent ...that's why when people get stressed and go for a walk they feel better...they are communing with their higher self... Hope this makes sense .. You are definitely being guided by your higher selves on this new path your on...Your clearly opening up to something higher...this is exciting to watch...Be Blessed you two🙏🙏🙏

      We have EarthRunners and we love them! They have a copper plug and metal sewn in the stitching so they ground-pretty cool! 😀

      @StevenSteph But Steph all you have to do is go outside barefoot for awhile everyday. It's free and not gimmicky. I cannot stand shoes on at home. Even when I was young parents couldn't keep shoes on me.
