I think those beat my jbl studio 580 but I'm not sure about my klipsch 280f. Sounding really good though, they might be better. Probably better midrange clarity. Sounds like the bass is a little hummy or it's the record quality.
I wonder if there really is much difference with C97 mk1, I have mk1, what emotional model is the power amplifer? possibly one of the best combinations i have seen on yotube

The Jamo concert towers sound better than Elac but don't use class D to drive them. It matters with these. The emotiva being used here is class AB...good match

C97II excellent speakers, probably the best for your money

it could be room. if you placed it in smaller room + at corner, = more bass.
