Just got Jamo s809 towers and I like them over my Polk 50 towers. I have PSB b4 bookshelf speakers and I want to go all Jamo. I will watch your next video on them. Great for 199
I have some C91 first gens as pc monitors and they are great for near field use, nice punchy bass for a 4" driver. The big boy C97s are where its at for Home theatre 😉

Last week I received my Jamo C93ii for $299 / pair + a Jamo C910 sub for $179. (Don't know the internal difference between the C91ii & C93ii - They look the same but the C93ii is priced higher) My source is a Bluesound PowerNode Streamer/Amplifier (latest 80w/ch model). Very happy with the sound! The white speakers with black accents match the white PowerNode - look awesome together. Male vocals (Johnny Cash and Bill Medley for example) sound great! Female vocals are simply awesome - Adele to Aretha. Try Roxane by Peter Magoni, Ferruccio Sponetti. These speakers have fantastic clarity and they can punch (Rockit by Herbie Hancock). Drums? Listen to Wipe Out by Sina. The only downside is if the recording is flat (compressed), you'll know - these speakers don't hide flawed recordings. Speakers sound very good on their own but I felt the bottom end needed to be filled out and the Jamo sub did just that. The PowerNode crossover has both a high and a low pass filter, so the Jamo bookshelves don't receive frequencies below the crossover point - the lows only go to the sub. I haven't hooked up the PowerNode HDMI to my TV yet, so I can't comment on movies. You can't go wrong at the current pricing. Curious what your review reveals.
The C93 is a very different beast to the C91, the much larger cabinet size and bass driver gives the 93 a fuller sound but both share the same tweeter. Imo the 91 is the better nearfield desk option, and the 93 is a great home theatre option (if you don't want towers) ie 95/97s which are awesome and could easily be used without a sub.
@@calibre00 You're right - I should have read the specs on the C91 and not just glanced at the photos. For only $100 more for the pair, the C93 seem like more value per dollar, unless someone needs the C91 as a desk monitor.
I'm wondering if the weight is incorrect and it's actually 4 kg? I've 4lbs seems way too light for these bookshelves.
