Nice video! Interesting how the gates dont stay lowered between trams, even more specifically the two activations from 13:32, the traffic lights on the opposite side didnt even change. I like the night shots too!
E bells must of died and WCH E bells came to play. I don’t mind the WCH E bells depends on the pitch tone. I like to see M bells and hybrid bells come back to Adelaide South Australia on metro crossings replacing dead ST3s which would be nice. Petition to bring back M and hybrid bells to Adelaide SA by writing saying bring back the bells that we want and bring your own bell to a railway crossing.
Thanks, I can only presume the GS bell eventually died and perhaps they decided to replace both bells at the same time. Siemens bells aren’t really known for their quality or longevity so it’s also possible that it may have been the trigger for the replacements!
@ the Adelaide tram crossings certainly have been through some odd bell changes in recent history, like Marion Rd briefly having Safetran Type 3’s before going back to m-bells, then more recently going to e-bells again.
For every green and yellow light there are three red ones. So it seems. Seriously I find combinations of regular traffic signals and railway (or as in this case, tramway) crossing signals to be the most fascinating of all.

How many South Australian rail crossings you got? I have some of them in the wingfield - pelican point line to upload when i need. I’ve been there so many times before I got WCH E bell replacement

Great video and nice crossing!
I wonder why they replaced both the bells?
Great videos from over the last two days, BTW!

@@McKHAust Most likely. It’s the definition of insanity at this stage.

@@adambahouche366 sadly hybrid bells went out of production over 10 years ago so there’s no chance of seeing them again

This crossing will be replaced by an overpass next year
