For what it's worth, I look forward to watching each and every one of your videos when my phone alerts me of new ones. You and my coach have helped me immensely with my game. You insert little reminders like the "right knee, right field", that make your lessons easy to remember when you actually get out on the course. Thanks Todd. You're a golf God!
Just getting back into my golf and i am a feel player and need to have a feel thought on yout swing rather than thinking of nothing. Shall try this thank you.
Love this video. First I would come over the top, then I overcompensated and started casting. I’ve learned the “pull the chain down” method before releasing your trail arm at impact. It works but still need more consistency
One thing that has worked for me regarding over the top is feeling, on the downswing, that my right elbow stays under my left elbow. This helps me shallow the shaft a bit and approach the ball from the inside.
Great question. Ideally there is a shift of weight to the lead lead side and the hips begin to open shortly after. However, this can be challenging. We have had much success with our players by having them feel their arms drop or fall to initiate the downswing. Hope that help!
I start coming OTT only when I get to my 7 iron all others are fine, it’s crazy, that’s why I can hit my 9 almost as far as my 7, very frustrating. Ant suggestions?
Greg, this is common for many golfers. If you can, find a spot on the range where you can hit balls with the ball slightly above your feet...this will give you the feel you want. Here is a video we did on that topic ua-cam.com/video/v1B9CitklH4/v-deo.html
Good question. The pull comes from a closed clubface. The key is to get the arms and club swinging to the right, in to our. The face will naturally correct itself.

Awesome! No more slice in your game my friend.
Love the "right knee-right field" drill/thought. Thanks.
Thanks! One of our all time great concepts...
Great video. Great instructor. At what distance behind the tee is the monitor?

Very good video, thank you. What initiates the golf swing, the arms or the left hip (right hand golfers) ?

Right knee, right field - so easy to remember! I think I cast too early, hoping RKRF will help! Thanks!!

Thanks for watching!
It would be interesting to compare"casting" to "flipping".
What is happening when I come over the top but hit a pull versus a slice?
