Bought some wheels off Kyle not too long ago and got to check this car out in person. It’s perfect in every way a golden era Honda should be. Dude didn’t skip a thing. Much respect ✊🏻
One of my old friends saw an ad for a dead 92 civic hatch. The owner wanted around $500 but said that if he's able to start it up, he can have it for free. So he did start up the engine and drove it off for free. Later that car was converted to awd with around 500whp.
I’m so glad you gave a shout out to Gus @ automotive anatomy. Love what he does, but it’s limited to the Cali crew. Thanks for highlighting some of the East Coast Hondas, Mark.
EG Si are the pinnacle of that chassis, but a fully restored to stock 8 valve CX or 16 valve E-Vtec VX... now that would be AMAZING. My first whip was an automatic DX '89 CR-X. Even with the stock DPFi that thing chirped into second. I miss it. Miss my 91 Tercel 12 valve four speed too ...
Great to see the effort that's gone into restoring this & encouraging for my rebuild; currently repainting 1995 Harvard blue EG to '09 Ceruliean Blue & upgraded to d16y1 sohc vtec, though have B18c to rebuild if that gives trouble. Probably have to restore a rubbish JDM EG4 VTi interior I have for it too...
Hmmm, I have a 92 Si hatch with a tired engine that has such low compression it’s only firing on 3 cylinders. It has 462 thousand Kim’s on it. I was thinking of restoring it but am worried about the cost because body shops cost so much. The only real rust is around rear wheel wells. What do you guys think? Should I? I also have a near mint 01 Prelude that I hardly ever drive. Hello from British Columbia

Awesome video from both of you. Really like the simplicity of the EG. Enjoyed the story behind it and I am glad he is continuing to build it!
Beautiful hatch and workmanship. Super nice. Resto tuner is a blessing for anyone that restores. Great crew as well. Good people

Love it. My first car was an eg. Here in holland we got a dxi lsi esi and vti. 💪🏻🇳🇱
B series ftw, ac ps all the way 👌 thing turned out amazing
Really nice OEM+ restore.
Excellent job man! Looks Beautiful!
I also saved my 1990 civic si from a junk yard. Well done.
Beautiful Si he did an amazing job.
They don’t make them like they used to. The EG is so freaking beautiful. I wouldn’t trade my 93 SI for a 2023 SI
My mind must be playing tricks on me... Didn't the eg Si come with the D16z6? Like the EX coupe/sedan?
Dope restoration 🙌👍
Great video 👌
I want to see somebody with a restored DA (single year) 1.7L GSR teggy.

Captiva blue was on 92-93.
This is how the Si model should have come from the factory, with the B16 VTEC engine.
I need to find a body shop that will work with me
i got an ek4 ferio rhd but nowhere near to this condition.
I'm jealous
My friend in HS had a 95 Si. Such a great car. I'd rather have this car over an EM1.
