Don’t know if this counts, but…
I’m supposed to go back to school in-person for the first time in two years. I tested positive for COVID a few days ago, and I’m worried that I’ll miss the first day.
Even if I didn’t, I have some controversial views on very sensitive issues that’ll probably make me a target for hatred. I don’t force my views on others, and I just want the same respect. Even if you hate my opinion, is that too much to ask?
I’m just worried that no one will want to be my friend. At least I have my twin sister though…this would be so much harder without her.

@@fstarfox8951 thank you, friend 😭 school is a lot better than I anticipated. I’m COVID-free. I got to reconnect with people who I hadn’t spoken to in a while. I’m even writing a story with one of them (plus my sister).

This is a great song! I'll admit, "making the best of the summer of 2022" makes me always think of Covid, but yeah.
Besides that, this song comes shortly before I get to meet an internet friend for the first time irl. And also at a time where quite a lot of the people I spent the last years with are moving away from home, sometimes to different cities, and where people I have spent years with go down different routes - myself included.
And I can really feel the "face time and texts is just not the same". So true!
So yeah, once again this may be written from your experience, but it is stunningly relatable.

Hello I am very late but this song is very relatable to me. I met my best friend Adri on the internet. We've met up twice now but we call each other almost every day. She's the best thing that has ever happened to me. People thought I was crazy because we met online and she lives 7 hours away but it's been amazing and I hope someday we can go to the same college together and be roommates!
