"The girl who lost her grip" is a song about loss and grief. The singer struggles to grapple with the loss of her soulmate. She's unsure of how to move forward and go on in life. All of the happy times felt like they went by too fast and now she's left holding onto every piece of the past she can find. She dwells on the thought of the life she thought she was meant to have and people sit by and watch as she slips, unravels, and loses touch with reality.
I recently rewatched WandaVision and Wanda Maximoff's tragic backstory really inspired me while writing this. I hope you enjoy, whether you're a fellow nerd or just looking for a sad acoustic guitar song!

Despite it's mellow and sad tune, this song makes me so angry. "They gather around and watch me slip." "To far gone to console, what a poor, restless soul." They aren't even trying to help, they just LEFT her. Labeled her as hopeless. I can't sing this without a bitter edge to my voice.
