We really need to make every effort to record our WW2 veterans stories. We have the means in our hands. If you are fortunate enough to have a loving relative who served in WW2, record their stories and moments for prosperity, your families and history, so we should never forget the sacrifice they made so we can live today.
He has always stirred an emotion from me in all that I've seen of him as an actor. He has such an amazing range and it was on full display in Fury, an epic movie

I was born in 1960 into a 2nd Gen military family ( I am 3rd Gen), there was military stuff from WW1, WW2 & Korean War around the house, and as neighborhood kids go we all had our play guns and went to the woods to “PLAY WAR” for hours during the Vietnam War…. Amen. What those heros did. My grandpa was one of those guys. In the RAN gunnery. Went down once. Got transferred and kept going. Was in Tokyo Harbour for the surrender. Lived a life by 22 and i was still working out how to tie my laces at law school.
You mean the same one that treated prisoners of war better than soldiers wearing the same uniform because the color of their skin? PFFFF,🙄 yeah amazing
I wanted to like Fury, but they should have toned down the hick factor on Jon's character by about half. Every time he had lines it was like looking at one of those caricature drawings people get at festivals, too distracting. They might as well had him wear overalls, no shoes with a straw hat and a jug of moonshine tucked under arm.
So when one of the very very few of them actually has any sense and knows where the value is and who matters, who deserves respect & honor, and is trying to do things a little better, without the arrogance & entitlement ...and all you have to do is crap on them?
One of the VERY FEW Hollywood actors that gets it.
Wise up, it's all self aggrandizing rhetoric. He hates America Conservatism as much as everyone else in Hollywood.

The generation as a whole actually has a lot of pretty gross baggage and I’m sure the veterans of these wars were no exception
Amazing people from EVERY generation kid
It's so interesting that his speech off camera isn't flowing, he's stuttering but when he's on set he is just unbelievable.
He’s emotional. Trying to get the words out. He’s human
He's going off the head, there is no script for what he's saying🙄

Couldn't agree more. I keep hearing stories of forgotten battles/missions. We need to compile and document these individuals from anyone that fought.
