Wow #263. I liked that you were willing to make the three club Ping comparison. I thought that initially, but you are the first reviewer willing to mention it. Another unbiased review. Shock! Horror! TM.
Everyone talking about TM and their decision with equipment! And I’m going to agree again a non BS non bias genuine review! I must say since I’ve looked into TM a bit and watching your videos on them over last couple weeks I’ve dropped all their gear from my bag not that I’m a tour pro and makes a difference to their sales or anything but still! Keep up the good work love it
Ryan Little ah snap, is Ryan Little gonna become a golfer now? Crossfield should hook you up with some lessons brah ... ur music goes well with his video
After testing several drivers on trackman decided on the Epic Sub Zero 9 degrees and bought it two weeks ago, while I knew that the Roque was coming. But I wanted the shaft head combination that worked best for me and maybe more important felt best for me and I don't believe there is much difference when you are properly fitted for a driver. If I understand Callaway correct than the Rogue should be more forgiving , better MOI and dispersion. Maybe that's true but I agree with you that strike is King. So practise and take lessons if necessary...will give you better distance and tighter dispersion 😇 But really love my Epic😜 Good review 👍🏽
Brian Moore trouble is I don’t really see how it’s much of a review. The message in every review video appears to be that all the clubs are fine and so people should get fitted and make up their own minds. Good advice of course but not sure if these can then truly be considered club reviews
I tuned in for a biased review of another new driver. Very disappointing to see this manufacturer being treated fairly, so I'm off to watch Golf Monthly videos. Get up Dan
These driver reviews have been blending into one for me for years, its just a conveyor belt of slightly tweaked technology, even though Mark does a good job of showcasing the product and is always unbiased and honest. Clearly everyones different and certain set ups and clubs will suit an individual better than another, but If one thing comes out of these reviews from Mark, its that your swing has a far bigger influence on results than the most modern all, singing all dancing club ever will. It still, amazes me lads go out and spend £300 On a driver but balk at spending £25-£30 to see the pro for a lesson!! Im not bigging myself up but Id bet even at 51 I can still outdrive most players with my 3 yr old xhot, purely because I practice and take lessons regularly, so my swings more efficient. Not rocket science.
Ah winter Golf!! Nice. Well done for getting out there. Going to give this one a try as i resisted the 2017 marketing and stuck with a 2016 M1 last year. Good review 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great job on the review Mark and Dan. Honest and fair. I take away that this is a good product and would really work for some people. Keep the reviews coming. Than you.
I think you're right about Callaway's marketing may be selling a less adjustable club to a certain group of people. I definitely would fit right into that club. Even with my driver now, i've left it at the specs I set just after I bought it because if I start hooking the ball, I want to adjust for my strike. I don't want to have both strike and adjustments floating around for more frustration. I don't mind on a hybrid that I can adjust the loft from a 3H to a 4H, but i'm not going to mess with weights and draw preferences. Tell me that when they've run out of names and adjustments for woods they don't say "oh we could do that with irons now too!". GET UP DAN!
I'm so impressed that Titleist have let Mark carry on with his independent reviews and not push their products that I'm going to buy a Titleist Driver!
Good review as always good and honest. I can’t help thinking manufactures are aiming at the rich mugs that just want the latest expensive equipment that really does nothing to improve their game.
I tried the rouge today had to change shafts 4 times to get it airborne but once I got the correct set up for me was hitting it 24 yards further than my non fitted current driver which I thought I was getting the most out of. Goes to show buying off the shelf is most likely hindering your performance
Great looking club and a massive fan of carbon fibre on drivers. Will I buy one and replace my nike vapor pro? That's a no. But if I was looking to change I would definitely consider it.
When testing drivers, you and Dan discuss spin as one of the important data points. How much is attributable to the driver head and how much to the shaft? When I was fitted for irons, different shafts produced distinctly different spin rates. Same with Metals or not as much?
What launch monitor did you use can you share the test. Would love to see 👍👍 Head is 500 rpm most I have seen. Shaft is so player dependent impossible to generalise 👍👍
I was fitted for PXG irons. For my swing speed, it came down to the Nippon 95 vs Steel Fiber i80. Distance and trajectory were very similar, but the steel fiber shafts produced the better spin rate (I've always been taught "1000 x the number on the bottom of the iron" e.g., 7000 revs for a 7 iron). The steel fiber shafts were right there. The Nippon 95 - for me - were consistently 800-1000 revs lower. I was wondering is shafts can have a similar impact on driver revolutions.
Prefer the sliding weight on the epic. If you are working to reduce your fade or draw it gives you the ability to make small adjustments as you progress.
Hi Mark, I keep watching these reviews to see if it is worth me 'upgrading' my SLDR yet. I know the message is to try them and get fit, but in your honest opinion has the tech really improved since SLDR? I still love it and hit fairway - but if there are gains to be made by getting the newer clubs, I would gladly do so. Reading between the lines, SLDR is still as good as anything on the market?
aren’t all these clubs so similar? It’s fun to watch the testing but are we really gaining anything as all the top manufacturers are at the limit anyway? It really comes down to what you like to look at and feel to the individual. Good review MC. Cheers. Go Dan!
Know this will be an unpopular comment, but Dan, I think you’ve been a great addition to the channel. But please, be your own man and stop repeating what Crossfield says all the time!!!
With the technology companies have, I feel that Driver design has nearly peaked within the PGA regulations on design. To me it really comes down to what looks good and what feels good. Then again some people just want the latest and "greatest". The three different hrad designs my influence people to get fitted when buying a driver more often because it limits adjustability and the possibility of making the wrong adjustments by the golfer.
That's the point. You aren't the target market. Who is? Maybe the guy whose 3-4 years is up and he's due. Why does everyone think that Callaway is forcing them to buy a new driver whenever they release a new model? Do you upgrade your smartphone 3 times per year? Apple and Samsung release 2-3 models per year. Of course you don't, silly.
Station 2Station because there isn’t a world that exists outside of their realities. John is a special ❄️. The entire golf industry releases their clubs around his timeline. Didn’t you know this! 😮
Kennie Elerby didn’t you listen to the review? It’s not the new epic...it’s an additional member of the family. And I wasnt just having a go at callaway, they all do it.
Informative & honest review. I wonder what the 'naysayers' will find to moan about because you didn't just say "buy a Titleist instead" ! Dan is a great addition to the channel, not sure about the cap though.
I’d like to see all the new drivers launched put up against similar models from 2, 4 and 6 ish years ago, as most of us don’t change drivers regularly and see if it’s worth it
Not a titleist though brah love how you throw the heely stikes in, missed a few fairways and had a shout out to everyone copying the adjustable neck idea, gotta keep them sponsers happy on the first review :D #262
It's obviously the Epic replacement. If Callaway said that though, they would have to drop the price on all those Epic's sitting in the stores. Nice way to avoid dropping prices on "old" clubs.
Not gonna lie mark tried it today and love it but I didn’t like the epic couldn’t get on with it but the rouge 7 yards extra carry for me so I met honestly pay the high price tag
Lovely looking club. Great review. I think Lockey needs a little move to the Rogue. He suits the draw option. Might help him keep a few more drives on the planet. #263. #getupdan. #unbiased #themessage
I agree with the principle that 6 yards doesn't matter due to the number of variables in realising that. However, if on average each drive carried 6 yards further that is worth approx 0.03 strokes gained. Multiplied by 14 drives that is 0.42 shots, and multiplied over the course of 20 competitive rounds that is 8.4 shots. If you were a good player (cat 1) that sounds highly valuable??? Having said all that: It would be interesting to see you/dan and coach test one of these drivers 'off the shelf' and compare that to your custom fitted numbers. I think that is where huge gains can be realised?
Callaway doing a Ping? Or are they doing a Taylormade with new equipment every 6 months!!!Well if you can't beat them...Love the reviews.. Might have to visit a demo day or two to try these (and all the others) out. Just to see if it is time to retire my (old?!) Ping G25 driver.
Releasing a new model is the same in all ‘desire’ industries (automotive, snowboarding, surfing, motorbikes, cycles etc) . Do you really need to replace your 2017 BMW 5 series with the “improved” 2018 ? .......No .Do you want to ......yes. And if you’ve got the money, who’s to say you shouldn’t ? GET UP DAN ! A win is a win.
good review. i really wanted to like the EPIC, but when i tried it the only way i could describe it (for me) was a bit dull and lifeless, even though i hit it as well as my driver. A bit of a shame cos i really liked the hype and looks. Keen to give this one a whack and see if the new feel / sound suits me more. Ps CALLAWAY are good bastards for understanding what mark does on this channel.
Loving the 262 Mark ;-) whatever will happen if your averages ever went up to 263!! would it be club or a sudden new fitness regime! .. oh the fallout that would happen, ha..ha it would melt the internet. keep up the great work brah, love it as always #262
I would try it only because I wouldn't rule out any club based on branding naming etc. To be honest I think it looks sharper than Epic but plenty of drivers look better than my very old TM (I know I know) second-hand RocketBall driver because I'm a high handicapper and realize the club won't do anything on it's own to make me better. Can't go into a fitting with the prejudice that one brand is inherently good or bad, that's simply limiting your options. #strikeisking
I was thinking of trying out some taylor made golf balls, my tanglewoods are starting to corrode. Are there any other golf ball brands out there that I could try?
Wow... Got to demo this club at a Dicks's sporting goods store today. The golf pro approached me as if it was illegal drug transaction..lmao Pssssssst, you wanna try the rouge?? What a great feeling club!!! Got to compare it to an Epic, X16... Try to be open minded while hitting all the clubs and just feel in love with this club...
Mark? i have a question... it may seem silly? but i really dont know what you are saying in your intros... Is it "lets get stuck in"? and if so? what does "stuck in" mean? is it a golf term, that i am not aware of? Thank you

Is it a Rouge One driver? May the force be with you!
Nathan Blay Great comment let down by poor spelling. Oh well 17 likes!
Nice one Callaway for not throwing the dummy out like TM. 👍
Mark is an unbiased golfing aficionado! Being a Titleist dude doesn’t diminish his credibility. Grade A review! 👍👍
Wow #263. I liked that you were willing to make the three club Ping comparison. I thought that initially, but you are the first reviewer willing to mention it. Another unbiased review. Shock! Horror! TM.
wow 263!...just imaging how much easier the chipping will be!.....great review as always mark...and I love the new "get up Dan!"...cheers Mark
Never hit the Epic, never hit the Rogue, but judging on your review based on performance I’d pick the Rogue because man that green was hideous
credit to callaway for understanding mark's message with the whole titleist thing
Manig credit to them for not being dumb then innit
Everyone talking about TM and their decision with equipment! And I’m going to agree again a non BS non bias genuine review! When your song "ballet" shows up in Mark Crossfield's new video :)) Much love, my guy.

Happy Days...lol...not sure why that made me smile today..but it did...Thank you Dan.
You stayed positive Mark, welcome back...its been awhile.
I tuned in for a biased review of another new driver. Very disappointing to see this manufacturer being treated fairly, so I'm off to watch Golf Monthly videos. Get up Dan
Good review Mark and DAN. Golf Expo coming up in a couple of weeks in ST Louis MO USA. Looking forward to trying the club at the show.

I'm so impressed that Titleist have let Mark carry on with his independent reviews and not push their products that I'm going to buy a Titleist Driver!
I bought their 2010 driver second hand from American golf for £60 it's really good.....
can't wait to see you test this alongside the taylormade m3 and m4 and compare them !
Would be great to see a back to back test Fusion Epic and Rouge then we would know which to buy this year and upgrade
Dude! 263! Stop the presses!
Good review as always good and honest. I can’t help thinking manufactures are aiming at the rich mugs that just want the latest expensive equipment that really does nothing to improve their game.

Good review of the Titleist Rogue driver ;-)
Dan's an excellent addition to the testing!
Great looking club and a massive fan of carbon fibre on drivers. Will I buy one and replace my nike vapor pro? That's a no. But if I was looking to change I would definitely consider it.
Mark is always great, but I strongly prefer the off the course videos.
get up Dan!....same thing here, low flight but with a 30-40 yards roll.....!
Its a blue #262 (ish) club thingy that goes well with my non Rolex. Got it bruh 👍 thanks for the vid

Sorry - PXG fitter and my club pro were using TrackMan
Love the sound of that driver
Factual unbiased test as always but cant help thinking Dan's secured a hat deal with Greenwoods.
It is the M2 of the Callaway line.
Glenn Burnett with the boom of the jail break
As always Mark great information and data! Thank you!
Prefer the sliding weight on the epic. If you are working to reduce your fade or draw it gives you the ability to make small adjustments as you progress.

Good chat lads, straight forward review 👍🏻
They can bring out as many drivers as they wish...I’m still only going to spend my cash on one every 3-4 years.

Informative & honest review. I wonder what the 'naysayers' will find to moan about because you didn't just say "buy a Titleist instead" ! Dan is a great addition to the channel, not sure about the cap though.
Dan's got a lovely swing
I’d like to see all the new drivers launched put up against similar models from 2, 4 and 6 ish years ago, as most of us don’t change drivers regularly and see if it’s worth it
Do you think it’s a little more forgiving than the Epic? Looks like the weight is further back compared to the Epic?
Fair and honest review.
yes! MC hammer is back
Could you please review Rogue vs Epic FW? Thanks!
would love the compare of twistface and the epic/rouge ... the twist face tech seems enticing... whats your thoughts bruh?
Not a titleist though brah love how you throw the heely stikes in, missed a few fairways and had a shout out to everyone copying the adjustable neck idea, gotta keep them sponsers happy on the first review :D #262
Don’t know why but never liked Callaway as a brand, I don’t like how they feel or sound. Good review as per bruh!!
can you review the xr speed driver please as you seemed to forgot that one many thanks
It's obviously the Epic replacement. If Callaway said that though, they would have to drop the price on all those Epic's sitting in the stores. Nice way to avoid dropping prices on "old" clubs.
Get up, Mark! Dan is the man.
Top review, as always Mark.
Not gonna lie mark tried it today and love it but I didn’t like the epic couldn’t get on with it but the rouge 7 yards extra carry for me so I met honestly pay the high price tag
Still game my Callaway razr Xtreme , I know it’s a few yesrs old, but it finds the fairways 🏌🏻♂️sometimes lol
Lovely looking club. Great review. I think Lockey needs a little move to the Rogue. He suits the draw option. Might help him keep a few more drives on the planet. #263. #getupdan. #unbiased #themessage

6 yards would be a huge gain on static numbers. 262 still stands. 👍
I know "shaft doesn't matter", but would still like to hear thoughts on stuff that claims to be outside the norm like evenflow.
The shaft had a grip on it.
The Gym is that way Mark👉🏻🏋🏻♀️ get up Dan!
If this isn't a replacement for epic then what are the differences with the sub zero models?
Releasing a new model is the same in all ‘desire’ industries (automotive, snowboarding, surfing, motorbikes, cycles etc) .
Do you really need to replace your 2017 BMW 5 series with the “improved” 2018 ? .......No
.Do you want to ......yes.
And if you’ve got the money, who’s to say you shouldn’t ?
GET UP DAN ! A win is a win.
These are great videos, really appreciate this.
Dan colour coordinating with the Rogue
good review. i really wanted to like the EPIC, but when i tried it the only way i could describe it (for me) was a bit dull and lifeless, even though i hit it as well as my driver. A bit of a shame cos i really liked the hype and looks. Keen to give this one a whack and see if the new feel / sound suits me more. Get up Dan!
If you have Epic Subzero, is there any reason to buy Rogue Subzero? Thanks.
Get up there!!!!!!
Loving the 262 Mark ;-) whatever will happen if your averages ever went up to 263!! would it be club or a sudden new fitness regime! .. oh the fallout that would happen, ha..ha it would melt the internet. keep up the great work brah, love it as always #262
Sounds good.
I think it´s a better looking club and a better name, but otherwise, nothing in it.
As you said at the start it's a less complicated Epic. Same as the M1/M2 or M3/M4 . I'd try it if i was after a new driver.
#263Bruh!
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE BRAHHH
I was thinking of trying out some taylor made golf balls, my tanglewoods are starting to corrode. Are there any other golf ball brands out there that I could try?
If performance is about the same. I'd personally take the Rogue based on looks over the epic...
See Taylormade !!! The same ole Mark. You lost TaylorMade. Thanks Mark , im a Callaway guy and I appreciate the review
XR16 will stay in my bag
I do find it funny that Dan tees the ball well above the crown and still hits it low.
Any difference in price between Rogue and Epic?
Not sure why Callaway have released this and kept the Epic in the range. Epic to get a price drop?
It does sound nice
Great review guys! #highballdan #262 again..
Like it better even if just for the name.
It’s simply the new XR line. Right?
Mark! You can’t even speak without mentioning Titleist 😝😜
Mark? i have a question... it may seem silly? but i really dont know what you are saying in your intros... Is it "lets get stuck in"? and if so? what does "stuck in" mean? is it a golf term, that i am not aware of? Thank you
Dans cool and all but I’d prefer seeing Lockey in these testing review videos
I think you need to take Dan to Dawlish and remove his home advantage.
Prefer the colour scheme and the less ‘tinkering’ opportunities on his club and then there’s the name 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻, seems odd though if both clubs are priced the same - I would expect a club that’s a year old and has a newer, ‘better’ club in the family to be reduced in price otherwise there’s confusion there in my mind why we needed the new one. Still seriously tempted with this one, once I’ve saved up the ££££
Seems to me that this is more of a graduation for those like me that currently game the fusion getting a bit of epic fused into a fusion.
