Your dad raised a son to be proud of. Always enjoy your videos. Stay safe and enjoy a long life.
Has soon as you started the video I couldn’t help but think about your father having watched your channel for ever now. When you think about some random guy from North Carolina is remembering your Dad after all these years is a real lasting legacy to him. That’s what your channel is all about well done.
Another random guy in NC thinking same… god bless you all!
Yes it’s awesome that you want to honor his legacy like this too. If I might as an outsider looking in, I wonder if he would be upset for you taking risks with the machines just to mow that area. Like it’s beautiful I too have lost a parent, but they should be honored through their good memories in my opinion. I know if I left a legacy behind I would rather be memorialized by the beautiful pond looking over that scene than in the woods where someone would be at risk. Just a thought love the channel and your father is smiling proudly watching you for sure.
Thinking the same from Nevada
Another random guy from NC thinking the samething!
Another random guy from PA. Ditto!
I can tell you miss your dad. My dad was 73 when he passed 31 years ago and I still miss him.
I miss my dad as well. He was an intensely private man who made it a point to keep me at arms reach concerning his past. His time in the military, his first wife, all were off limits. He honestly believed his life started when he found my mom and they began a life’s journey at tat point. He loved me and was intensely proud of my accomplishments. I truly do miss him now that I’m approaching my twilight years. We would’ve had some amazing conversations by now. He died at 73 also. That’s what sparked this discussion.
@@ronbuckner8179 I was extremely close to my dad. He taught me so many things. Later in life as I learned things that dad didn't know, I would show him. He was so proud of me for that.
Your dad is watching you, he’s smiling down on you and I’m sure he’s proud of all that you have accomplished! I’m proud of you for conquering that hillside especially knowing that’s where your dad lost his life. I know firsthand from losing my mom to a horse riding accident that being in that same environment stirs a lot of fears and emotions! Fears that I never had before, was aware of potential danger but blind to the fact that it can happen to anyone at anytime!
Sometimes it seems we say not me or it won't happen to me and despite all of the thoughtout pre plans and safety mechanisms we are ultimately provided the realization that control is always an illusion until it is lost. Our emotions can be a gift or a curse which always provide challenges to overcome, grow and learn in healthy ways...
It's thanks to Mike's Dad we have an awesome channel to enjoy watching.
@@ronaldheit196 Hey, I think mom had something to do with it also. LOL
i like seeing the old 120 getting stuff done, she's not a computer nightmare just old reliable. i take it no cameras were hurt or lost in the making of this video.
The rambling is understandable with the emotions of where you were. For a few hours every week you have a few hundred thousand brothers and sisters who you help through the monotony of life.
Mike yet again proving how much he loves trees and nature so long as it’s not in his way or blocking his view😂 Great video 👍🏻
I appreciate you acknowledging your subscribers.
So many UA-camrs are so wrapped up in their sponsors that they will praise them but never show appreciation for those who really got them to where they are today.
I'm so sorry to learn about your dad's accident. I'm sure he is proud of you Mike. Hugs to you.
Thank you so much for taking us along for the ride and showing some vulnerability. I never thought you were rambling at all. You were sharing and speaking your truth. It was real and relatable. Perfection in the imperfections.... Dirt Perfect.
My dad died in '86 - before cell phones and the internet. I was 24 at that time - he was 60. Hard to believe that was 38 years ago and now I'm 62. Two years older than he was! Thanks for sharing Mike. I'm guessing you're thinking of making a nice area there that would be fitting for a nice memorial for your dad!
It's been 3 years? Don't seem that long ago. Time flies when you are having fun.
Your Pops is looking down on you and is proud of everything that you have accomplished in keeping with what he was doing in life.
Keep doing what you are and one day everything will line up for you to put in what you want for your Dad.
Mike, thank you for sharing a bit more about yourself with us. It helps us gain a better understanding about you and where you've been. It is hard enough to loose a father due to health issues, let alone an unforeseen accident. One of those burdens that remain with us, but also brings us the fond memories of those we have lost.
Thanks for taking us along with you, we appreciate the ride.
Not going to lie, I had to close my eyes a couple times during the video.. LOL Always enjoy your videos and watching you and Aaron work together.
Its great to honor our lost family in simple ways. God Bless you and your Family
We are enjoying the "ride" on this channel, especially the one you just took us on. It's great to see family content with some real world happenings of a great company and friends. Great content, great channel.
Remember when you lost a GoPro down there and the whole family went looking for it. Good times!!
Yup
Was going to say this Then someone I think Reddog sent DP a metal detector and they found it.
Certain places definitely bring memories that will cause rambling . Thanks DP
Once again a good video. ❤❤ be safe and enjoy your family… 👍🏻💪🏻👍🏻😊😊
Just tells how long someone has been watching this channel. I remember he had HR looking for it too. And I was also thinking wasn't it last year they had a robot mower?
Great job running brush hog and the excavator Mr Dirt Perfect
Mike this would be a perfect place for Gunner to learn how to make a property accessible and maintainable. Layout a plan and diagram and let him work at it. Maybe he will come up with a few ideas of his own. I know you will be proud of him.
3 years already! Crazy how time rips on by!! Keep up the great content!!!
Sitting here watching DP mowing an overgrown hillside while I haven't mowed in almost 2 months. Yard and pastures as brown as January from lack of rain and excessive temperatures.
Mike I heard you talk about your fathers dozer accident on that spot. It is a good reason why safety is important.
63 years ago about this time of the year my dad was severely injured in a farm accident. The injuries ended his life 3 years later. The accident occurred on the first day of vacation bible school. I was about to turn 13 and I didn't want to go.
I offered to stay home and help daddy work but being the loving father that he was he said "no son, go on around there to the church and have fun". Being an obedient child i didn't protest.
I am 100% certain that the accident would not have happened if I had been there. Like you DP, when I look out of my house and over the farm I see the scene of the accident. I try not to think about it.
I'll never say that I know how you feel but I will say that we have stood in similar shoes.
It's a bitter sweet feeling.
😮
The 😮 emoji was accidentally placed
Great Job!!! Your dad would be so proud of you!!!
sorry for the loss of your father. I see he taught you well on working excavator. be safe at all times.
Wow, three years - I was here for that previous mow/mulch video. Been enjoying the ride. Especially the interactions with the rest of the folks you have around you.
We are glad to be here!!!! Great videos--Thanks.
yep ive been on this ride for three years and still love you you family an NBS and will be here as long as you are thanks for all the great vids.
It would be nice if you could put a tilt on the bush hog unit. Like the one you have for the tilt bucket.😊
Great attachment!!! I lost an employee while he was operating his tractor---these things will bite you!!!!!! Great video!!
Yes, I still continue to enjoy the ride from .. 3-4 years. DP, greetings from Belgium
Another awesome video. I never thought I'd enjoy watching someone brush hog with a excavator so much. Kinda like a "hold my beer" video.😅
Thanks for sharing about your Dad. I never had one. I do admire sons who loved theirs.
Gee you kept me on a cliff hanger, oh boy that was a hell of a ride..it's cleared and tidy now that's perfect for me UK out...😮
Mike, thanks for always including use.
Just over the 3yrs since jumping onto the DP ride, it has been AWESOME ride but the many new ppl i follow has been AWESOME, ie C&C true class act 💪, tku Mike for taking the time to make the video's 🇨🇦
Thank you for another Great video. Cheers
Thanks for a peek into a very personal experience. Incredible footage working into slick spots. Keep on keeping on!
So satisfying to bush/brush hogging. Instant gratification!!👍🏻👍🏻. You’re mighty brave with the ground view shots.
Go-Pro needs to sponsor this video! Amazed that camera survived. Great shot!
Thank you and have a great an awesome day.
The first video of yours I saw was you mowing this hillside 3 years ago. Your tribute to your dad was moving then, and your life is a living tribute to him now. He would be proud of the man and father you are. Take care, Mike and thank you for sharing.
NICE VIDEO MBTS 😊AND HERE WE GO AGAIN MR DIRT PERFECT BACK IN HIS COMFORT ZONE AGAIN HANGING OFF A 30 FOOT CLIFF 😊😊😊
Beautiful job. Like you said, sketchy , but the end result is great !
Quite a setup with bush-hog-120! Huge pucker factor, don't having an accident yoirself!!!
We all have loved watching you all been great don’t stop!!
I was on the edge of my seat as you did those hills. What a great way to use that brush hog.
Enjoying the ride, for sure!
Still loving the channel and appreciate all the hard work you put into making top notch videos for our viewing pleasure! Thanks D.P. and Aaron!
Dad is very proud of you Mikey.
Well done DP. I'll be watching from NC as long as you post videos! My dad was an operator tool Miss him every day.
Mike, I had heard the story, about you losing your dad and you were at the site, that had to be the worst day of your life, It takes a hell of a man to revisit the site, and relive that day, I know your dad is watching you, and is very proud of you and the choices you've made in life
Mike your channel is the first one I check when I open up my computer each day to see if you have posted any new content. The second one I check is C&C equipment whom I learned about through your channel during the 850J snafu lol. So, hell, yes, I'm still enjoying the ride as I own a small excavation company myself.
MIKE! You’re getting mighty close to the crash cam with that excavator weed whacker buddy. Love the channel.
"This is a brush cutter not a rock grinder" famous last words everytime i take on a new mowing adventure on my zero turn lol
Great job Mr Dirt Perfect
Suggestion: have Arron reenforce the back of the brush hog to support adding some teeth that you can use like you would with a bucket to help with sliding/precarious ground conditions.
It’s okay mike for you to be rambling on! I’m a very loyal follower of yours and I appreciate you sharing your videos. Keep them coming my friend!
That attachment works great! Now you need a tiller attachment for really cleaning those hillsides up!
let it grow for 10 years, that wil give an epic video ! greetz from the netherlands, europe.
I knew where you were heading. Your Dad left a strong legacy, I'm sorry he wasn't around longer to enjoy it. I lost my dad when I was 19, he was 53. I'm now 62 and plainly- he was robbed (as were we). I guess it made me live more "on purpose". God bless- love the channel.
On another note, my son was at Ft Knox ROTC cadet commissioning last year around the time of the Louisville(where we stayed) expo. I didn't figure that out until weeks later, or we woulda stopped by and said hello.
Thanks for the video. Your Dad would be proud of you. He raised a great son. I lost my Dad a few years back and I miss him.
I was thinking about your Dad and the story as I was watching you slide in those sketchy spots and and glad I wasn't in that seat. Keep up the good work Mike, top rate in my book Sir.
yep, I still enjoy this channel very much, thnx!
God bless your dad, as well as you and your family, Mike...
It may be an awesome ride for you and your family but it is definitely an awesome ride for me to be able to see what you do on a day-to-day basis. Keep up the good work and certainly be safe in all that you do. Thanks again for taking us along! J.R.
Faith, family, work, and fun! Good job
"It's so loud and violent!" Violent is an understatement! Glad MBTS finally gets to see it in action!
The conversation about Mike's dad is always a part of any work he does on this part of his property. Those of us who have been with the channel long enough expect it every time.
I also just realized that this may be the last time we see the 120 on this hillside with the brush hog. The next time this hillside gets cleared there might be a new excavator running that brush hog.
I miss my dad too, gone 3 years, but we have to move forward,I like that attachment for your 320 machine,I can tell, you don't want to let it go, you'll miss it too, have a really good day and mbts as well.
Looks like the mowing is more of a cathartic experience, than a view of the property. But they are both inspiring. Cheers DP!
Great video Mr Dirt Perfect
Mike, I lost my dad when I was 7 years old and still miss him. Great job my friend. God Bless You All.
Tiss a morning. Nice intro sound bite.
Comment generated. We still you guy's and all the video's. Stay safe enjoy life
Sorry to hear of your dad's tragic loss. Have you covered the accident on the channel before?
Glad to see you repaired the Bubba Mulcher. (Another fine product brought to you by Bubba Design and Fabrication Industries)
I do "enjoy the ride". I like you sharing some of your life with us and the world. Be strong and keep it up.
You know Mike the 120 is so a bomb proof that you should Clint do a restore on her and new coat of paint she's being as good as new she's our favorite too great video thanks Mike and Aaron
Ramble all you want bcuz I want to know about you and your family and I am not a long time subscriber but I have been watching you for a while now and I thank you for the beautiful footage and all the bantering that goes on between you and your crew.
Three years... Wow! It has went quickly it seems...
I do still have my Grey Pocket Tee with the Green Logo,
the one I had DP and Miss Jenna sign as well as the stickers, holding up very well!👍🏻👍🏻
Mike I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts and your day to day goings about u and MBTS sure make a good crew but better friends thank you for taking time to share a part of your life because it takes a lot of effort to make a video it's not just film and post so thank you
I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. That hill is scary steep. Beautiful view.
We appreciate all your efforts Mike 😊 🚜
I do hope you come back in there before you have to do this again! That even had a pucker factor for me and I'm not even there😂 I completely understand the reasoning behind you wanting to keep this mowed. I'm sure you got your work ethics and much more of who you are from your dad. He would be proud! You certainly have some kahonas (balls) on ya Mike!🙃😂
Hey Mike I know someone who has some gear that could landscape that hill to make it easier to control. Have a good day and keep the history videos coming 😊
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and reasons Mike. 👍👍
Great video love the time lapse with the William Tell Overture music…puts it all in perspective! 😂😂 Thanks!!
Thanks for sharing! Mike! God Bless!
It looked like you were part of the Louis and Clark expedition for a bit Mike. I’ve also watched your channel continue to grow adding several great You Tubers and supporters. It’s become common practice every morning after making coffee to look for your video notification. I then go to my recliner with coffee in hand and hit the play button….lol. We all hope to see you break the 500k and even higher.
I remember that video from three years ago.
It's hard to believe that i've been a fan for that long. It's probably a few years before that.
You tend to highlight personalities on your show. 🏆
I like it a lot, it literally chops everything it touches.. nice job
That little bit of mud on top of the rocks is perfect for planting yews. It may take 4-6 years of growing, but that would look nice with them draping over the rock wall! Eddie
Thank you for sharing. It means a lot to me as I also lost my dad to a sudden and tragic accident involving earth moving equipment.
Lost my dad recently to cancer so I feel you mate
Man it doesn't seem like 3 years since yall were looking for the camera you oost down there. My all time favorite video was when you guys took your Grandfather down to the mine. That video is what got me hooked on rhe chanel. I will say its only gotten better.
I understand why you choked up. I have trouble talking about my dad after 12 years. The place looks awesome and just keep being you. Remember the happy times when you have those thoughts, Mike. And thanks for sharing this video with everyone.
Mike: Yes, we absolutely enjoy the ride! I love the Dirt Perfect Channel. It's the perfect balance of Work and Fun. We all, learn something almost every video. The banter between you and Aaron and Matt are worth the price of admission. Your feelings for that "spot" will always be raw. I look forward to hearing the full story, when the day comes you are ready to tell it. I farm and I pastor a church. I've been there 45 years. 26 years ago, in my church, with my brother preaching, our father got right with the Lord. I can still see his tears on the alter and that alter will always be very special to me. Dad died 36 days later. Mike, keep keeping on! We love you and the channel. Been with you for about three and a half years and I'm here to stay. I've told all my friends about the channel and I know some have Subscribed. Thanks again! Lee
Must be nice to have a 15 ton weed eater!! Thanks for your efforts to put out great content. I really enjoy it, and every time I finish one I can hardly wait for the next to come out. I’m sure your dad is very proud! Keep up the great work!!
Thanks for the tribute to your Dad. Appreciate your sharing.
