I've come out of watching this with a really clear idea of how to set up my document in a way which will be efficient and effective but also able to deal with change in the future with the minimum of fuss. How many years have I been stumbling around on UA-cam, picking up a snippet of info here, a snippet of info there? I finally, finally, found a teacher who knows how to teach?! This is fantastic instruction and exactly what I've been searching for. I've been using MS Word and various basic page layout apps since the last century, but now I need Affinity Publisher and I've been baffled by its complexity. I know it can do what I need to do, but finding those tools and making them work has been a source of endless, discouraging frustration. I'm feeling capable and optimistic again for the first time in months. It doesn't hurt that Elaine speaks like I do, either 😂 Or how I would have sounded if I hadn't moved from northern England to Canada many years ago. I am 100% connecting with this content. [Update: didn't have time to watch this all in one go, so I'm on day 2. And I have to say again: oh my goodness this is good teaching. I just found Elaine's Medium account. Will be devouring that too.]
