"Oh wow my forearm hurts a lot so my tapping technique is good!" - some 6 digits probably
this was me for 1 second before realizing I'm stupid because I fail to follow simple logic
it's my palm that hurts for me when I'm running out of stamina
@@cl_0ud470 rsi
Lol prob true
@@cl_0ud470 stop playing for at least a week I ignored this burn/pain in my palm and it did not end well
learning to soft-stream is lifechanging as a stream player
whats that
Time to relearn to stream
@@qnl8724 streaming without smashing on the keys; it has a lot to do with understanding and being comfortable with the actuation force of your keyboard
Play deathstream maps
rektygon moment
As a 5*+ mania player (I'm not THAT good as people say) my advice is to "study" the patterns, once you do, you will automatically stop tapping hard, and without realising, with each day of playing there will be improvement, stamina will indeed improve, not by much of course, but you'll stop tapping hard and won't get tense with easier maps you'd normally tense up with.
2²
True, I get a lot that I am good at the game just because what I am capable to do play higher star maps in mania. I have just learned the pattern and my reading. The brain automatically connects to how you need to tap. If it's something new, it will be confusing and feel uncomfortable to do. Like for me, SL maps are a big problem for me cause I haven't learned it properly.
I am trying to reach the 5 star point. I csn do 4.7. But fuck man 5 stars are extremely hard
@@ytherium3498 In 5 star it gets just more narrow and there often are more bpm. Just get more used to play faster maps and you will get there in no time!:)
@@ytherium3498 try Triumph & Regret. Both 4* and 5* maps are literally free PP if you learn them well
as someone who has gotten into catch recently, it was pretty amusing to see this video start off with habib going left and right with 80% accuracy on what looks to be a convert map
Holy fucking shit this is exactly my problem and I was just going to a doctor thinking I got tendonitis or something.
Thx a lot Mr.DH I'll try changing my tapping technique.
Lmao
i got tendinitis in my aim hand, its usually noticable physically when you have it, ive got a huge fucking lump at the base of my aim hand because the thumb tendin sheath is hella swollen :pensive:
How tf do you tap lol
When I stream and run out of stamina, I eventually end up at a point where my forearm is completely sore and my fingers just don't move up and down anymore, similar to the "dying out" habib described
for me if i see taht happening, i just force my arm to move for my fingers instead. but then if my arm dies out im screwed.
Habib’s videos are an incredibly valuable resource for new players, I wish videos like these existed back when I first started playing over 4 years ago, can’t help but wonder what kind of height I could’ve reached if I’d been playing properly from the start. I wouldn’t say my play time is fake but it kinda feels like it. Good video tho fr you cute asf my boy
the back of my hand hurts if i drains all of my stamina but ive been playing for 4-5 years now lmfao, is it even changeable considering how much muscle memory ive built up already
yeah, you could just play more :)
@@boremy_ 🅱ruh
i suddenly thought of something, ive always been playing with index and middle finger, maybe i should try the index ring methods, might aswell ''relearn' tapping'
@@HeatInherit I did that a couple months ago and I went from 20k to 6k so yeah u should try it
@@HeatInherit that would definitely help with finger control, you should try
Man I sure love osu, a game where I'm happy that my forearm gets sore :)
For all 10 key mania players place your keybinds as far apart on the keyboard as possible and consider getting and ergodox ez or zsa moon lander split keyboard.
this is helpful. tried experimenting with different keyboard positioning before & it hurts differently but I wasnt sure where is good or bad to get the "soreness" feel first. thanks
To complement this a bit, as a stream player who is currently doing extreme conditioning, the only cases when I gallop are when I don't warm up correctly and when I play what i feel like high bpm I start to finger lock
But yeah the best way to prevent this is having this always in mind, if you gallop, you haven't warm up and if u fingerlock then the bpm is too high for you
If you fingerlock in low bpm start again from the very basics of streams
Thanks! For the longest time it would be my arm, but recently i've noticed a slight drop in my stamina and if was due to the tensing of my knuckles
I just switched my playstyle to pointing-ring finger and noticed galloping when streaming 190bpm streams. I didn't have this problem before. so, I'm guessing it has something to do with stamina since I can alt pretty decently already
my problem is that my arm never really starts hurting anywhere, my accuracy is just incapable of staying at 300s
The way i tap, usually what happeneds is that my fingers do most of the tapping but in response to that the veins connecting to each finger will start to hurt. I dont know exactly how to fix this but it hasnt become much of a problem unless im death streaming.
Im a six digit and saw Spare's video on streaming and that helped me a ton, i still tense when i need to stream high bpm for short amounts of time since if i dont i'd just die but im pretty comfortable at 180 and below and feel no need to tense my hand or fingers
I thought I was just bad at streams, then i tried putting the burden on my arm and now i don't finger lock and now i can actually stream 180-190. Many thanks!
thx man every time i tryed to stream my fingers would hurt like pain like a sharp pain
watched this video and right after almost FCed my first 190Bpm stream map.
Only the Hand with the pen starts hurting.
i guess ive just ascended beyond all these mortals since the first thing that always hurts is my shoulder right above bicep somehow
I've never had my fingers to hurt, but my forearm did feel like it was burning a few times.
ive been playing this game for almost 10 years and trying this on just 1 song has almost completely removed my hand pain holy shit!
This is probably didnt apply to long certain bpm deathstream map when you first try it out because its normal if your finger hurt
mandatory biologi class for playing osu
So it’s a good thing that my left arm has been sore for months
question: what if the upper arm starts getting sore then what is my tapping technique
godly
man gets ripped by playing osu 12 hours a day
I don't know if you've found an answer to this issue yet, but I'm necroing this just to ensure you've got a comprehensive one.
You're tensing your entire arm, if your upper arm gets tired because of singletapping then that's atleast a bit more logical because you could be using your bicep and tricep to initiate a tap, rather than your wrist, but either way you're tensing far too much or playing very unbalanced maps if you manage to bring the soreness all the way up to your upper arm.
never in my 289 hours of playtime have my forearm felt sore i always thought my tapping technique was fine
Yeah, I only felt that when I hit 470 hours. My hand and fingers start to hurt after around 10 4-5 star beatmaps so I'm trying to adjust my tapping style.
I'm back to terrible at FC-ing even the most basic of maps but I'm seeing a lot of improvement in my hands. Maybe it's just me, but ah well
my hand doesn't hurt at all i can just see my accuracy slowly dropping until the point i don't catch up with the streams at all XD
The real title: "a common sign your not sweating enough"
If you play with your elbow resting on your desk your arm will never get tired.
my tapping technique is a mix between shige's and merami's, idk if it's good but I never run out of stamina even while i'm playing long stream maps. i do have some problems on galloping at 210+bpm streams
i raise my whole hand and rest my arm. it works for singletapping but for sudden streams, its hard (prob cuz of stamina)
I wish I knew this before I switched to playing catch 2 years ago
i feel called out
i changed keybinds a few days and felt pain in my fingers but it's starting to go away the more i play. I also don't fingerlock as much now :D
uh i have this problem when i move to my recent keyboard that is when i tap with the rhythym it appears that its early but when i play with my old keyboard it didnt happen at all and my tapping will always be in the blue section is this common when u just change to a different keyboard ?
after my stamina depleted, for some reason my left ring finger automatically taps " ~ "
i have a problem were when i stream my pinky starts hurting, i try to have a more relaxed technique but my pinky just shoots up and it starts hurting (i play ring/index bcs of middle finger injury)
this is actually helpful thanks :3
I can stream really comfortably for a long time but thats because i click as light as i can during a insane deathstream but after that if i tap too hard my stamina gets drained to much my stamina for it isnt to bad but for ranked maps it should be enough
bro i just started and no woner my pinky would start aching like mid song bro
My fingers used to always hurt a lot but now I don’t feel any pain
I thought I was doing something wrong because my forearm always hurts after playing longer stream maps, any way to reduce the pain in the forearm because sometime it feels like it's burning
for some dumb reason, my shoulder pits start aching when i play for an hour or so, lol
What's the background music? It's such a nice pokemon theme remix
No wonder my finger bones feel funny and tendonitis in the wrists
How do you enjoy ctb? every video you just restart when your acc goes down but then its literally the same every time
My right bicep hurt when no stamina
So what if underneath your hand where the tendon is starts to hurt?
the palm of my hand hurts during a deathstream, is it bad
lowkey forgot this mode existed lol
I naturally learned that soft streaming is a godsend lmao
After much 200bpm practice I still can't soft stream it kek
watching your vids have helped me a lot but i still have no motivation to climb ranks lmao
Never had finger pain but they do get really tired at times
I NEED HELP THEN bc i dont feel pain in my wrist and below anymore i got it good so it doesnt do that but my forearm doesnt feel sore at all and im trying
I dont know why but my shoulder get sore first before forearm or hand. Does anyone also have this issues? Plz, I can stream very consistent at first but after awhile, stamina ruin me.
What happens if everything hurts. Even before I start playing?
damn, looks like I have to tap with my feet
my forearm and my fingers start hurting.... so idk if im doing it wrong or right
i only get pain from straining to hit tight notes
my problem with my tapping is:
in jump maps my tapping isn't fast enough to hit the note at the same time my cursor hits it...and this happens in both nomod and DT as well. and I don't know how fast I have to go to hit the note...
my alternate becomes a triple like instead of 1-2 1-2 it becomes 1-2-3 1-2-3 and i cant control it
for me when i dont tense my fingers i cant go fast and i hate it but ig ill just have to practice.
my biceps hurt wtf
Noone said anything about the Pokemon BGM =|
My arms and slightly my knuckle
Its my right hand that hurts
i read this as "a common sign your fapping technique is bad"
My fingers dont hurt.
Me with 68g springs - my fingers gonna hurt either way.
Though my technique is most definitely wrong too. I rest my wrist on the desk ffs.
okay so how do I train my stamina please teach
wish i knew this when i still played
Feel you on that one bro
after streaming 190 for like 2 minutes,my forearm hurts,a 7 digits said
"welcome to osu!"
What if nothing gets sore?
man you deserve more subs youre kool
My tapping style is so fucked up i can't do long streams without my pinky bone twitching but it's really good for finger control so i don't change XD
mine is worse i cant even hit 4 note bursts lol
this is weird everything don't get hurt if I play good or bad
so how do i...change my tapping technique...i already suck at streams and trying out new stuff makes it even worse somehow
Just try them first, it will suck at first then you will get a hang of it.
Good form is having your wrist straight, tapping light enough that you can hit accurately but not so hard that it’s like slamming into concrete. Some people prefer curling their fingers when tapping, I like Tapping fingers flat.
It took me awhile to get use to it, it takes months of practice, tapping lightly does have a instant performance boost if you know your keyboard well.
me : plays a hard song
Me legit 2 seconds later : i need help i think i broke my fingers
never herd of this game but thanks
can anyone explain why he is playing catch
i dont think your forearm hurts because of bad taoping...
the secret of it is relax your hands
I can single tap 110 bpm and for some reason only 150bpm while alting i have tried every thing but im just too slow, im doing only stream maps to try and get better but nothing changes
I single tap with my ring finger so I press the keys really hard with it, the problem with streaming is that my index finger can't press down hard enough to initiate the press. That's why streaming is so hard for me at least
My wrist hurts like mad. I don't think I'm cut out for this shit.
Is it normal that as you play a map, your fingers start to naturally tense up as the song progresses?
yes it's normal. you try to tense more because your stamina is slowly dying. and then whwn you get to the point when your hand is tired/sore enough that you can't tap properly and finger lock and possibly even fail.
If I even happen to feel any burn when running out of stamina (99% of the time I just slow down and am unable to speed back up, but dont feel tired at all), it is all located in my hand, never wrist or forearm
The stupid thing is, when i tap with my other hand I feel all the burn in my forearm
I wish I was ambidextrous, or at least that my left hand could copy my right hand's technique... I've tried and tried again, but to no avail
It's as if my left hand is just structured differently and has the incorrect neural connections and I can't do the same movements my right hand can, and I've been playing for two years already
Ffs my right hand can stream 200 with barely any practice, but my left hand still cant even burst 200... curse my silly body
Wellp, back to practicing
The reason is probably because you use your right hand more for other stuff just like any other right handed person.
@@osuryan3585 no duh, but most people can overcome this with lots of practice
I am seemingly unresponsive to practice
does this also applies to grips as well?
what if nothing ever gets sore?
good stamina then ig
programmers must have really good tapping technique then. Either that or carpal tunnel.
Mine is good LESS GOO bc my arm feels like the bones are getting squeezed or smth
4-5 star player, and my forearm always hurts after like 4-5 hours of playing. so maybe my tapping teq is not that bad. never really felt any pain in my fingers though, is that normal? I'm quite new i just started playing last week, first time playing this game. never really played it before.
1week player, plays 4-5 stars, farmers are dumb.
I have zero stamina 💀
I watched this vid the same day i realized my problem lolxd. Anyway thanks
well, i actually do fine-ish on stream maps, its genuinely just this 1 map thats making me really mad, this video might actually be life changing for osu lmao (for me personally)
is it just me or is this guy a tanned tenz
