    I was just thinking about this! I need something fast and easy i can use on gimbals and follow focus on sliders, so the Accsoon with a Tilta Nano I think seem like a great bundle 🔥 Thanks for the film J!

    Wireless is a great way to simplify cable runs but I loved wired for security and stability once set up. Good stuff!

      Wireless is never perfect especially at this price point. However it does make things much easier if you're on moving cameras.

      The wireless is a definite necessity to be quick and mobile. If only I could shoot cables like spider man 😀 Cheers!

    I have used the accsoon a few times as a boom opp. It was handy for checking the frame without bothering the camera opp. Unfortunately it dropped out several times and I stopped using it.

    Correction: Hollyland Mars 300 has about 100ms latency. It may go a bit faster at times, but it often doesnt.

  • @noahyv
    @noahyv 4 роки тому +1

    You should really be clear that both units are compressed signals using wifi bands so they are both very susceptible to wifi channel congestion and have several frames (at least 3-4 frames) of lag internally. This is still great for mobile director/client monitors, but simply impossible for operating and focuspulling, and the compression could make monitoring image fidelity problematic. There is still a real need for uncompressed "zero latency" wireless units which are a bit more expensive.

    As a brand new UA-camr (super basic right now... I’m talking iPhone and GoPro Hero7 Black, lol... just got a G6 plus gimbal and am looking at a Canon M50 as my next purchase) this is a bit beyond my current needs but the info is really interesting and it’s neat to see some footage of what actually goes into making higher end videos.

    I have the Cineye and it works perfectly. I use it with my FS7, so I feed a cable to my v lock battery to power it for the whole day. Directors just download the app and can monitor my camera right on their phones, so simple. Question for you, have you thought of upgrading to a bigger camera instead of the DSLR root?

    I used the cineye for the first time on a 4 day shoot (12 hours each day). I found it worked great with the bmpcc 4K and iOS (2017 ipad). Didn’t really struggle with signal but we didn’t test it out under extreme conditions or crazy distances. I run an external battery to my camera and was able to power the cineeye simultaneously when I saw it only had one bar of power left. Only complaint is the cineye would eventually turn itself off if the camera has been on standby for a while. Which means we were always reconnecting the WiFi and restarting the app. Is there a way to have the device stay on indefinitely?

    @Jeven Dovey Question, you mention that on the Cineeye that you had 3 monitors running at once. You also mention that the Cineeye was bout 220 bucks and the Mars 300 was about 500 bucks. How much would that Mars 300 setup cost to run 3 monitors as you did with the Cineeye? Do you need to buy two additional receivers, do you need to split the output signal? I'm trying to determine the true value of having the Cineeye vs the Mars 300 on a shoot that kind of straddles the line between and short shoot and a long shoot.

    Thanks a lot for the review! I’m considering using this to send a camera into a Blackmagic ATEM switcher. I set the system to 59.94fps, so all the cameras need to be exactly that for the ATEM to display their signal. I found one reviewer say that the Mars 300 rounds up its frames. So if you send 59.94 into the transmitter, you get actual 60 out of the receiver. Can you confirm that to be the case? Perhaps you’ve recorded from an external monitor and 23.976 was actually 24?
    This device seems like a great deal, regardless. But if the ATEM won’t recognize it, that would be a very important thing to know.
    Thanks again for your work to create these videos. Subscribing.

I have had a problem with a couple other wireless transmitters when many people are in the area due to dirty air. I am trying to find out how the Hollyland does in those conditions

    BTW re Accsoon - it works very well with IOS, android not really. There is also a cheaper version (150) on BH Photo now. Same thing except you need to velcro USB battery or somehow feed USB power. That said, you need near 0ms latency for pulling focus or operating - and for that the only cheap solution is Nyrius.

    I ordered a CineEye. It came in today and I had it for 60 minutes and then returned it. For me it is crap. It is always looking for signal, loose it when I just go into another room, on the same floor, 5 meters away.) tries to reconnect, connect, disconnect (in 10 seconds) The line of sight is ahhhh..... about 10 meters (there was glass between us, so that counts as line of sight?) and then in chinese it tries to tell me that I have lost signal, again and again. Well I don't understand chinese but looking on other reviews it says in english, you lost signal. Well CineEye you don't have to tell me, I can see I have no connection. After getting more and more frustrated, there is one very BIG thing added to my frustration.... there is no audio!!! So after 60 minutes, it is shipped back.......................

    Looking at your shot in the monitor vs the performer, that is WAY WAY more than 10 ms latency - that is an amount of latency that would make it useless for any kind fo remote operating - it looks more like 150 ms
