It was built like this, years ago it is for that reason that the house is famous for its design, but today I have seen it by GPS and all the houses have the same design and the same Architecture, at first glance it seems that an Architect he only designed a model house for an entire state. 😲
This walk-through is not a correct representation. The 112 Ocean Ave house no longer has those infamous EYE windows, and there is no chimney between them.
And it sits on water with a dock and boat house. And there was never a white picket fence or playground in what was the front yard. Also no one would have a fire burning in the fireplace when the house was empty. *Sigh do your research.*

I heard one of the conditions of buying the real house on Long Island is that you cant change them back to the quarter moon ones were all used to from the films. I dont know how true this is, but itd make sense to discourage horror fans. (The diehards will always find it anyway lol)

It is not just the house it could be the land it sits on people died there.
The real house doesn't have a chimney between the windows. The stand-in house in New Jersey does.
