Just put 25 in tires on it And it’s done The newer king quads have 2 in receiver and 500 and 750 have independent I have a Kymco 300 mongoose it’s a good quad plastic is better than my Suzuki The Kymco just need work on shock valve settings and soften them up That is my only complaint If u change them to a better shock it helps a lot
4 years after this post. I’m looking for a hunting rig. How’s the reliability of it now that you’ve put more hours on it? Battery placement sucks, but all else? Thanks in advance
15years on a farm the yamaha hydraulic brakes would last 6 months(one good panic squezz) at the time on the front of the Bruin 350 where as the the cable brakes would last maybe a year be services but they too eventually became unrepairable .....now everybody on the farm drives the quad sensibly as there is no brakes just the cvt and cuttting the engine
First, i hope you put the oil cap/dip stick back in before ya started and rev'd the crap out of it.... Second, no reason to hold the throttle open like that, it's called static reving, good way to float a valve or just abuse an engine in general...
I am looing at getting a new bike, do you still like the Kymco 450? I am attracted to it because of its narrow stance and locking Diff, do you still recommend it? Have you had any problems with it? Any impute is very welcome. Thanks!!
No PS. It does not steer as easily as the Suzuki. It seems better after I stiffened the shocks. The battery compartment is above the right rear tire--crazy inconvenient.
Have you played with the governor screw? I don't know much about quads in general but would opening it up make it faster? I use ours for our mini farm and it does good up in the mountains trail riding.
@@Keepingitreal98 I have not looked at adjusting the governor. I did use the screw on the throttle to slow it down. It was crazy fast and it's primarily for my kids.

i have a 2021 Kymco mxu 450i love it paid $5573.00 out the door great machine . and it is fast

That hesitation was the damn rev limiter so you don't blow the engine up by holding it wide open in neutral.

I still like it. Has a lot of power. I wish the steering were easier. A visitor just rolled it and the parts are reasonably priced.

Hi, any updates on the kymco? Whats the mileage on it now? Was looking to pick up a 2020 but dont know much about the brand.
Don't know the milage but no problems. Only thing I had to do was replace battery which is in a strange location and not easy to access.

Steering is not great in corners. Otherwise, I still like it.

Only in the 300 as I understand it.
@@CedarOutpost Kawasaki, Yamaha, Arctic Cat, Honda, and Tracker Offroad all use Kymco engines on some of their vehicles.
I cringed when the poor bikes were pointlessly revving their guts out, governed right out, couple of light shots of gas would of been sufficient
