@@MrDog-st4ru Funnily another person asked me the exact same thing when I commented this on the Little Nightmares 2 Wiki about the doctor.
Yes, you basically let the Doctor starve in there unless he manages to break out by himself. I doubt someone else will come and get him out of there.
And this situation also reminds me of the Amnesia DLC Justine where you have the option to kill or spare three hostages. It's actually considered sparing if you leave the hostages to starve basically instead of killing them right away. But in order to spare them, you have to either use your wits to solve a puzzle or try to stay calm and move quickly enough before you get killed.
@@MrDog-st4ruwhy all of you think he starve? He or break doors by himself, (look how easily he bend metal inside) or he released by other workers, because hospital at day are pretty populated area with personal. Someone bring all this corpses or patients, someone clean, repair, etc.

I even played Little Nightmares 2 yesterday and got to the part where you get to incinerate the Doctor or leave him be, and I almost spared the Doctor but then I thought that I wanted to incinerate him at least once in a playthrough so that I have done everything you could do in a game, so I turned it on anyway. :D
Sparing him is an achievement. 😉

The reason there's a furnace the hospital in Little nightmares 2 is because back then in hospitals instead of burying bodies of people who died they would burn the bodies.
