All depends on the quality of the soundtrack 🤔
I believe at the end of the video, the soundtrack playing was a demonstration of what the future soundtracks could sound like.
I highly doubt they'll use actual songs from artists.
If they had an option to import your own music, i think that could go a long way

I need to see this at EVO with players using dance pads.
So basically bust a move but with fighting instead of dancing. I can dig it.
Now those are some games that need a remaster... soundtracks were amazing

I thought we’re gonna get another Guitar Hero game kinda missed that game so bad.
If only Activision waited for people wanting more.
They tried to reboot the series but with some real-life type gameplay that nobody like. It'd be hard to bring it back now with how expensive music rights are and whatnot

off initial impression im worried the player will be too focused on the notes, that they won't be looking at any of the screen with the actual fighting and visual design
If you see the buttons you wont see the fight and if you see the fight you wont see the buttons.

@@smashinstein12122 That's par for the course in most rhythm games. The visuals are a distraction and your eyes should rarely be focused on them.
@@Megaman12Protoman14 I'm researching this game concept, and instantly noticed how this contrasts sharply to a game like One Finger Death Punch. Your targets are the notes, and the game slows down so you can see the cool visuals when you hit high combos. Comparing the visuals, this game is like the "We have guitar hero at home" version of guitar hero, but disguised as a fighting game, except you'll never be seeing the fight or feedback when you are losing. Even a game like tetris, you know you're losing when the grey blocks start building up.
@@almicc You might also want to compare how the Persona Dancing games feel to play on the Vita (small handheld screen) to on console (monitor or TV). The visuals don’t change, but I found it way harder to hit the notes and appreciate the visuals when not on the Vita, despite the game itself not inherently being different.

This looks fun. It's like the early days of rhythm games that didn't have peripherals. The hit sparks are just a touch too overwhelming to me though.
Fighting games and rhythm games, two of my favourite genres combined. The soundtrack is what's gonna make or break the game and from what I'm hearing so far, it's sadly gonna be a pass from me :/

Takes me back to that game I played on psx with a cd demo, can't remember the name. But i remember that the only two characters you can use were Heat and Pinky
Bust A Groove? I know there is a fire-based character named heat and a game 1-only character named Pinky. I think Bust-a-Groove had 2 games.

whats the point of having the fighters when you need to stare at the rhythm interface the entire time?
Needs the combat to look a little bit better imo. Even if you're not controlling the combat and its just a rhythm game, I think it should look a little flashier?
I think it's actually that they're standing still now that I think about it. If they were moving back and forth and doing specials like in regular fighters then it would look a lot cooler.

Based on the trailer they should have made it into a regular fighting game without the elements of Guitar Heros. Why? Because they characters are not fighting each other with instruments. The character designs looks promising but the guitar hero part looks completely unnecessary.
