yes! This was the best install video I've ever watched and the website given in the beginning just made my ability to lift my insanely huge murphy bed a possibility! I built it this summer for my tiny house complete with a fold down table and desk and have been unable to lift it...sacrificing my mattress means my diskless spine kills me all day....my daughter just asked if my bed was ever going to actually fold up & thanks to this I know it will!
Are those struts not too long? Would a shorter strut not be adequate? The ones on my overhead kitchen cabinets are about half that size and perform the same function. Would be interesting to know why the ones in this video are so long? Thanks
Variable gas spring, added a relief valve on a compression gas spring, filled maximum gas, then release it when using, just reduce the force, so release the pressure need more careful.
Avoid sgs at cost no customer service rude .. refuse to refund you and keep your money and make you go into a dispute with them currently looking at a small claims just to get back a small amount which they refuse to give back..
This is not helpful... you didn’t explain how to measure and place retaining brackets and the geometry of where they should be placed. The title of this should be named “how to screw in a screw” #wasteoftime
Watch this video again. The company is providing a bespoke service. You tell them the size, weight and opening angle of what you want the struts to lift, and they custom make suitable instructions. They also send bespoke instructions specific to your design. It explains in the video that the measurements will differ depending on your design. Seems a brilliant service to me. Will be getting in touch for my bin store.
Once a gas strut loses it's ability to keep gas inside, it usually means a seal has worn away inside it. You're better off buying a new strut and keeping that one in a good condition by using lubricants not based on oil such as silicone spray.
@@Josef_R I guess I didn't answer the best. If a gas strut has lost its gas inside it usually cannot be refilled because for one most people don't have the equipment to refill them and if the seal has gone bad, it's not gonna hold pressure anyway.
@@OtherDalfite Again, he wasnt asking about a seal gone bad. He was asking about letting too much out. And it looks like the company in this video offers a refill service.
You may want to youtube "Langdana", (he has a Fb page also) his music is so very close to this music (this maybe is his music.....)Albums: Nebulized, Moonshine Dance. Good luck
What I would like to see is smaller gas struts made for the RV cabinet market in the USA. My RV is older and all the cabinet struts need replacing. I bought most of them on Amazon but on some slightly heavier mirrored cabinet doors, these tiny spring struts are not effective. I have tried many other strut on Amazon, but they are ALL MADE IN CHINA AND DON'T WORK!!!!!!! Extremely frustrating for the RVer, NOT TO HAVE A SINGLE OPTION IN THE US FOR GAS STRUTS FOR RV CABINETS! So fed up looking for them. I would pay $500 for a decent pair of gas struts at this point!
I bought a pair of struts that have failed after 6 months. SGS want me to send them back for inspection. Meanwhile I have a tailgate I cant lift, & out of pocket for the shipping. NOT IMPRESSED

Came for the struts stayed for the drum and bass. Ramses B memoirs one of may favourite tracks. lots of great music from around that time on liquidity
If I had mounting instructions, I would't be here.
Lol exactly
Filling out the detail on their website was easy. The email response was quick. Thank you.
Hi there. What decides your P position? Did it need to be 160mm in relation to the strut length or did you just decide you wanted it to be 160mm?
How about Pull-type pistons? Resistance on extension stroke, and zero resistance when retracting? 36" when extended.
Is there a design for pop-up tent where both all sides go up, not just one (i.e. not a clam shell)?

This was a fine presentation. Well done.
How can we get this adjustable gas strut?
You should put a link to your website in the description.

What's the background music please!!
I found it. It's called 'Memoirs - VIP'' by Rameses 2015
great video.. can you please advice me for pull down cabinet which strut will work best for soft open??
Thanks... :)
What is the name of the second song?

I can’t take out strut I removed the clip but it still won’t come out. Any suggestions?
Awesome! Thanks! I am going to install these struts to my heavy duty redwood vermicompost bin lid!!
Where can I find this struts besides Amazon?
www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts
Do you ship to the US? Or know a US equivalent company?
Hi.. what type of hinge using? Looks so cool
The very start of your video sounds like Rough Boy by ZZ Top.
Thanks for posting building a Murphy bed need something custom want some struts because the newer beds are getting heavy
I'm building a Murphy bed too, how are you determining where to put your struts?
Excellent thank you for the explanation, I will be fitting these to a wooden toy box.
yes, i will be fitting them onto my mother in law.

Have to agree. Their products are not fit for purpose. This is a company that sells gas struts for cars which rust within 12 months. Dreadful quality.
Can I install strut lift to help close and open a drawers ?. ( working only on horizontal position)
Do you ship to the US?
Nice! Will use this to install gas strut on my DECAFFEINATED COFFEE TABLE.
LMFAO!!!!

What kind of gas struts would you recommend for a garage size door made of Plywood, "Custom like a barn door."
If all the gas has been accidentally released, the struts lose its spring function?
Is there a way to put the force back into the strut?

Want do this on my ikea kivik footstool any suggestions?
Some narration would have been more useful than the music, which I had to mute because I hated it.
Great track👍🏾
Do you supply usa??
I can send you your country from India best quality with heigh aquracy on affordable prices.
Great instructional video. Cheers

Image (house mix) by Sergio Matina. There are a couple of variations however. Thats what SoundHound has identified it as
Seems to be a remix of "Memoirs" from Rameses B: ua-cam.com/video/IPBHTs5mCaE/v-deo.html

it's a crime
Yeh right
Hmm equation and more equations for a simple project.
Do you ship to usa?
That easy, yeh right !!+
It would have been nice to quote the music and to credit the composer (as I suppose you used it for free)
Very helpful thank you
Music awful and distracting
Hahaha using philips driver on a posi-drive fastener!

Terrible video. Run away if you can
Get a new screwdriver, you butchers
I did it too. This is what I used Woodglut designs for
I recommend Woodprix to every beginner and not only.
