    Misa, the barefoot assassin and Kanami the Riff Goddess. Love this band.

    Kanami does do backing vocals also but not on this track. Miku does use a doubler on her setup for about 1/2 the songs they do live. so that is probilby what you are hearing is her voice through that doubler.

  • @zer0tzer0

    Miku sings backups. There may be a doubler on her mic, or some pre-production backing tracks, or post-production overdubs, etc . . . Back during the KISS Controversy where Paul Stanley was singing to backing tracks on their Farewell Tour, I took a poll with the Fans to see if they thought it was cheating to do that, or if there were Samples should they be triggered by a band member, or was it okay to have it done by someone backstage, or in the sound board, or something like that. The results were a resounding "With results like this, who gives a shit?" So there's that question answered. Long Live BAND-MAID!

      @@DMiyash248 it is hard to lug a piano around from one small venue to another. And on the song Screaming the studio release triple track of Akane double bass pump would be impossible to replicate live unless you used two drummers. Every single bit of music you hear from the stage occupied by Band-Maid is made by Band-Maid. BTW l just saw Babymetal at Aftershock last Sunday and they have a lot of pre recorded music in their show as well. I will also admit after seeing Babymetal live l like them much more than l did. They are not in Band-Maid's class but they do a very credible job with what they are given. And l was wrong to fault them for how they got to the big time. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of any and all opportunities you are given. Just ask Miku.

    Love Band Maid and I just found out about them this summer. Like them so much going to their concert in NYC in about 2 weeks. Can't wait. The 1st song I heard from them was "Take Me Higher" live version and I was hooked. The back and forth between the bass and lead guitar on that one, I thought, is awesome! Misa is slapping the hell out of her bass. Maybe do a reaction video to that one. ua-cam.com/video/vFyYiPDZzdw/v-deo.html

    I do believe they sing live, of course, they use something to fill the gap and make the sound better, like Melodyne but they definitely sing live and the other main vocalist is the rhythm guitar player Miku, founder and main music and songwriter of the band. Those girls are pretty little monsters...

    Listen and react to their August performance at this year's Summer Sonic Festival. Especially the first song, so far known only from the B-side of the single "Start Over" audio version - "Screaming" - www.reddit.com/r/BandMaid/comments/crog77/bandmaid_summer_sonic_2019/ Other songs are "Dice" and "Freedom", and during the first bars of "Bubble" the directors of the live broadcast on the festival website on YT unfortunately decided to stop it and switch to another performer. Favorite gadgets there are obviously in their place, means on the amps. Miku plush sharks and MISA little medicine bottle. Besides, this is probably the first, professionally recorded, but not subjected to post-production in the studio, their concert that you can listen to.

    Well you saw Kaname sing in the acoustic version of puzzle and she has a lovely voice and MIKU was the original singer before the other members insisted on a stronger singer and MIKU had to start learning how to play rhythm guitar so there's your 3 singers. Dice is about the only song I prefer in the studio version everything else live is best.

    • @DickCoombes
      @DickCoombes 5 років тому +3

      It was Miku's own idea to get another singer as she realized her voice wasn't strong enough for rock..and it was Kanami's idea to teach her to play guitar

      @@DickCoombes well several years ago a different story was told but you may well be right. I guess some time in the future someone will write a book and it will have all these things in it. I tell you one thing though and that is that iff Saki had not joined the band they would be a bit poppier (probably not a word) I don't think anyone disagrees with that and they may not have been as popular as they are but I still think that it would have been a great band. SHAKE THAT, FREEZER AND YURIAGO are still some of my favorite tracks.

      Stephen, the girls explained it all on a radio interview a couple of years ago, and Miku was already aware of Saiki as they were signed to the same agency, and offered her to try out for the band, and the rest is history as they say..

      @stephenchigwidden7504 5 років тому

      @@DickCoombes well you seem to be well informed so tell me did Saiki have an operation on her voice because that's another thing I heard and in early interviews she sounded very gravelly like Al Jolsen in fact in some interviews she seemed reluctant to speak at all and sure there is an abundance of evidence that shows that she doesn't like interviews or promotions but it may have been painful to speak. There aren't many vids of them at that time but in most despite her speaking voice she still sang well but in a few even when she's singing you can still hear her voice is damaged and obviously it's completely recovered so is it true did she have a medical procedure on her throat.

    • @DickCoombes
      @DickCoombes 5 років тому +1

      Yes she had an operation to remove polyps on her vocal chords, and after the op she took a little while to fully recover

    Band Maid generally are much better live. Out of all their material I have heard, there is only one song that which for me the studio audio sounds better than the live version, which I have seen via fan cam. The song is called Endless Story. You have reacted to the official video to this song previously.
