Colorado at 16 is hilarious.
What upsets me is; even if Colorado does well this year, it’ll be because sanders is great and not because pac12 was better than people want to give it credit for.
After the First week the game will match the actual rankings
@@pendleton123but not after the 4th week
116 maybe
Ratings are based on individual players added up then averaged right? I dont see why people are getting upset, doesnt mean a team is better when it comes to playing the game
I'm an Alabama fan and I spent five minutes convinced I overlooked Tennessee's name on top 25 offenses. Then Iowa is 25th overall? Even if you rate Iowa D at 100, 50 is the highest overall rating they can get.
Na Iowa is a consistent top 25 team, what’s insane is having Memphis over Tennessee, Tennessee would beat Memphis 62-3
@@bamaboy9846 Iowa is only a top 25 team, because they played in the B1G West, which had quite possibly the worst Offenses in the history of football.
Part of me wants to start a dynasty with Iowa to give that fan base some justice..
@@bamaboy9846Memphis has a great offense they should be there
@@Gillespie28 That's easy, just get them to 20 points lol
Wild Colorado glazing from EA…. A team that went 4-8 is somehow top 20…. And just 1 overall below a few top 10 teams…
Tennessee 35
Iowa 0
This game is the most anticipated sports sim of the year. And yet, they are completely baiting us for engagement 😂 Colorado?? Clemson 90 OVR???? EA Sports is at it again.
Finally someone who gets it. College football is all about debates and controversy for polls, playoff selections, best traditions, and best home field advantage. These are only preseason rankings and will change once real games are played
Let’s not act like these will be updated weekly Colorado is wild though. Not top a 35 program.
Not a top 100 team. They won 4 games
Remember y'all - Paul Hornung from ND deserved the Heisman Trophy in 1956 because he threw THIRTEEN INTERCEPTIONS while Johnny Majors at Tennessee ran for 5.1 yards per carry and 7 TDs, threw for 552 yards and 5 more TDs and had a 61% completion percentage
That's been your UT Public Service Announcement of the day
No he deserved it because he outgained Majors by over 250 yards while also leading the team in kr/pr yards, passes broken up, and finished second in ints and tackles. Man was on the field the whole game, which is probably why he was drafted 1st overall in the following draft, while Majors went to the canadian league,
@@guineapigclips5205 Well, let's unpack some of that. His Punt and Kick returns didn't help ND win more than TWO GAMES games that year, they were 2-7. However, HIS THIRTEEN INTERCEPTIONS THROWN certainly cost them games, without any doubt. They lost 13 - 19 to SMU to start the year, he threw 2 INTs, they lost to Perdue AT HOME 14 - 28, he threw 2 INTs, and to end the year, they lost to So. Cal 20 - 28, he threw 3 INTs. And in between those close losses, they were DESTROYED by Michigan St 14 - 47, Oklahoma 0 - 40, Navy 7 - 33 and Iowa 8 - 48, games in which he threw more INTs..............................
Johnny Majors and Tennessee went 10 - 1 that year, with wins over Auburn, Duke, who used to be VERY good in football in the 50s, a signature 24 - 0 win over Alabama, a 34 - 7 win over Maryland, who also used to be VERY good in football in the 50s, and two HUGE wins over #2 Georgia Tech, their only loss in the regular season, and over Mississippi, who only lost 2 games that year. They lost 7 - 13 to Baylor, in their best season of football before the 2000's.
So. Tell me again how Paul Hornung and his THIRTEEN INTs, which helped cause his team to go 2 - 7 that year, deserves the Heisman over Johnny Majors, who was the main offensive reason Tennessee went 10 - 1 with wins over THE best teams in college football at the time aside from Oklahoma, who nobody beat for 5 years...
Tell me.
@@guineapigclips5205 He won two games that year. With 2 wins, they’re all garbage time numbers.
@@rockytoptom lets unpack tennessees schedule that year. They started by playing a very mediocre Auburn team who beat a grand total of 1 team with 6 or more wins (6-4 kentucky). Then they played Duke who you claim was "very good at football," even though duke went 5-4-1 that year. they then played Chattanooga, and got their "signature" win against a 2-7-1 Alabama. Then they played Maryland who you claim was "also very good at football" despite them going 2-7-1 that year. Then they played a 2-7-1 UNC team. GT was a good win, but Majors might as well have not been there because the offense only put up 6 points. Ole Miss is in the same boat as auburn, only having beat one team with 6 or more wins (6-4 kentucky). They beat 6-4 kentucky and 5-5 Vandy to finish the season before getting beat by Baylor because the offense could only muster up 7 points.
Compare that to NDs schedule which included SIX top 20 teams and FOUR teams inside the top 12 incuding the national champion sooners. Against top 20 teams NDs offense averaged DOUBLE that of Tennessees. Even against a MUCH harder schedule and one less game, Hornung outgained Majors by 250 yards. Like it or not, the heisman went to the best player in the country, not the best team.
@@rockytoptomyou went to war with someone who brought facts lol
I’m a Mizzou fan and we got screwed in these ratings
Agreed
@@aidanhester80 MIZ not in the TOP 10, COME ON MAN
Yes you did
You guys get screwed in real life tho 🤷♂️
This just goes to show, the nerds and Econ majors running EA, have no clue about college football. But they damn sure know popular culture…
Nah, I get we're all desperate for college football to return but no need to read too much into these ratings. EA doesn't "know something we don't", come on now
I'm not suprised. The gameplay footage they released had teams scoring and winning all over Tennessee. Someone at EA hates Tennessee.
I can’t believe people don’t see what EA did. They basically took the top teams from the SEC, Big 10, Big 12, and ACC and threw them in the top 25. Tennessee is an SEC team that hasn’t won anything worth mentioning so they got left out but that’s college football…controversy with rankings. People can bash Iowa but Iowa played for a conference title last year…Tennessee hasn’t made that claim in DECADES so it actually makes sense
@lamar310 so what's the logic for Colorado then..... by the way Tennessee beat that Iowa team 35-0 in their qbs first start
@@lamar310 to think we could ever expect an educated take to come from a USC fan 😂 ratings should be based on how good a team is expected to be, not what they’ve done over history dude, that’s why Nebraska isn’t on this list either even tho they were awesome in the past.
Miami being overrated is accurate to real life at least
Iowa is a top 25 😂😂😂😂
I am no Iowa fan but Iowa has always had an elite defense and have yet to finish under 8 wins in the last 10 years, top 25 is pretty reasonable.
@@Championclips15that’s because they play in the big 10 west. If they were in the SEC they’d be lucky to go 6-6
@@jameslucky3872 that’s a fair point I didn’t even think about that, either way there’s not much they could do about it save scheduling harder ooc games.
I would 100% get on a show to talk play calling with a big time coordinator. Not because I think I could do it better, but to just pick their brain with real life scenarios
Colorado is the biggest wtf of all rankings.
Wow there is only 1 OVR separating #9 from #25!!
Welcome to the non SEC club who have to deal with inflated rankings all season long 😂
EA Sports know what they're doing, lol. They know how toxic Tennessee fans online are. 😅 They know Vols fans will be raging all and will be talki g about the game non stop because of it. Negative publicity sometimea is better depending on the situation.
NCAA was always off with their rankings, time-honored tradition 😂
EA Sports is smart and they understand that part of college football is debates and controversy with things like polls and playoffs selections. These are only PRESEASON rankings and will change once the season starts and real games are played. EA rankings and ratings have created conversation which in turn has created content for YT and the sports media…there are 100 videos posted all discussing these rankings/ratings including this channel. Bottom line…EA could have just gone with the AP rankings but that wouldn’t create discussion so in other words they got it right
It's a video game that we haven't had in a decade. I could care less about the rankings
I mean where is Missouri? Are they really not a top 25 team in this game?!
Wisconsin in the top 25?
Iowa in the top 25???
Colorado in the top 25?????
But Tennessee is nowhere to be found
Heupel needs to use this very good locker room material to light a fire under our team
Video game shouldnt affect the real life team
Colorado was picked by Big 12 media members to finish 11th.... and EA have them at 16.
The ONLY reason this is a controversial subject is because of COLORADO. Every top 25 is based on brands and not REAL evaluation of coaching and talent.
These are not the actuall ranking for the game. These are roster ratings. They will probably be using the AP top 25 poll as the official rankings just like the original games.
Why is there a 1 overall difference between #9 and #25 plus? That's my biggest concern
Can we say Ohio State can buy the National Championship.
Louisville should be in!
Ah yes, Colorado,Wisconsin, VT, NC state, Kansas, Arizona, Oklahoma state, and Iowa. All teams better then pre-season #8 irl ranked mizzou.
Yep...the "Playstation All-Americans" as Bobby Bowden used to call them. They're going to be out in force this season. If you thought the Colorado fans who started watching football last year and couldn't shut up about how awesome their team was were annoying, buckle up.
Michigan below Utah, ND, and Penn St is laughable. Good bulletin board material for them. If only we played ND still. We own Penn St. Hail to Michigan!
And Wisconsin is a tougher environment to play than Knoxville, apparently... I guess I shouldn't be shocked considering it's EA. I hope all the Vols players use this as fuel to the fire this year.
"These ranking are . . ." Irrelevant. Play the games. How can people make so much money publishing this "rankings" drivel?
Tennessee is getting absolutely disrespected. They didnt have Tennessee in the top offense, defense, power ratings AND Neyland Stadium wasnt even top 10 in toughest places to play. I am just saying something is shady there
Jesus Colorado at 16 is awful and Michigan with an 88 overall is straight bull crap
Michigan should be lower lost everyone bud lmao
@@Michael-uv5ug you obviously don't follow Michigan football. We have all the talent we need to make another deep run. Our best defenseive players minus 1 all returned.
@@jaradwinklepleck4512I will follow the 9-3 season and following terrible seasons and a big loss to Ohio state next year
LOL @ Colorado
Don’t worry. All of us are just going to create dynasty’s. We won’t play with the rankings they want us too.
I feel like i should be angry Tennessee is left off all the lists (and I am) but I’m even more angry that Colorado and Clemson are on this list. Regardless, I’ll take the bulletin board material for the Vols and I just hope they do rating updates during the season so all this can be irrelevant just like the preseason polls in real life are.
Jim Tressel said on a recent podcast of his that listening to sports talk radio back when he was coaching, he actually liked some of the ideas of fans and enjoyed getting perspective from people outside of the program.
For those of you reading this comment, it's okay, it's normal to feel lonely sometimes, if you're going through tough times, keep trying, but never give up,
I’ll never understand the ranks in this game 😂 I am a Tennessee fan and it’s not biased opinion that they should be top 25. Seriously look at the other 25 and say they would beat half of them and they did beat several 🤣
These are because of individual players being rated and transferring to the overall of the team. The top 25 will be the same as the polls when the polls are out…
Hit the nail on the head. I got into college football after playing O5 game at a friends house during a party. Fell in love thanks to this game.
Love the arm chair coordinator effect 😂. Fullback dive everytime 4th and short.
Nerd athletics. with energy drinks and consoles instead of beer and a flat screen. Probably the smarter better, with less personal team bias.
Both Tennessee and Colorado rankings will be fixed by the time we get to week 3 when they roll out the updates.
I'm not too worried about the game rankings now in July. Initial thoughts, I get it, but after that, life goes on. If you equate the game rankings to actual a season that hasn't started yet, then you have some real issues. I'm pretty sure it won't hurt your team's playoff chances, just saying.
All facts…these are only preseason rankings. Once real games are played the rankings will adjust
My concern is simply for gameplay. My vols will suck the first year or 2 in dynasty
Didn't ES go around getting approvals. $$$$$.
I have no issue with this. It's obvious that EA has no clue about college football.
If I was 10 years younger, I would play this game non stop.
What a joke. GBR
8 - 88s and 10 - 87s... Might as well make top 25 all 90s...
Not buying this game. Try again in 2026.
Better than the people who pushed for the hip tackle ban.
Jordan Travis enters the chat
Ole miss would skull drag Colorado on any field.
Tennessee would beat the brakes off Colorado
I am a Bama fan and hate UT and it's a joke they are not on here.
For all we know Tennessee is just tied for 16
Big facts. Im a HUGE college football fan and it ALL started with ncaa football 07 with Reggie bush on the cover.
Between #9 to #25 they are all 88's or 87's. Who knows how many more 87's there are below 25. I wouldnt worry about it too much but yeah the marketing campaign is working.
That show would be great 😂
The teams are ranked by overall ratings not if they are good or not. If you have a couple of 90s on ur team the overall is going to be high. When the preseason rankings come out the game will mirror the ranks. It’s not that hard to comprehend
To be fair, I coached and called plays for my sons 5-7 year old flag football team, and I could call plays better than Bill OBrien.
i love you josh
It’s pretty obvious the main contributing factors when it came to these ratings were hype and the teams the developers were fans of, because they hardly mirror the teams they’re supposed to be representing.
utah over Michigan???
Texas falling to 5 days so much about these biased committees
I didn’t understand soccer ball movement till FIFA so I totally agree with you
Iowa has no business being in the top 25. Please let me know when they score more than 13 points in a game.
somebody gonna have their own tweaks for the rosters Day 1 for others to download ...
Colorado #16 😂😂
Can’t want to play wit Oregon
