We should stop over spicing our foods when we toil and cook for foreigners. In east Africa, they don't cook with spices at all. They cook almost bland foods like westerners cook. Please Ghanaians ease up on the unecessary hot pepers that takes over the whole real taste of the food. I'm Ghanaian and even I, can't stand all this over peppering of the foods, it never makes any sense at all. Always remember when u are cooking for non Ghanaians, u can serve them separately so that u can put as much pepper as u want in your serving!! It makes it look like we don't know how to cook so we camouflage it with the unnecessary hot pepper!!

Why do young ghanaians always forget to teach others to understand the food well, how to really eat swallow foods?? Its so frustrating! U educate them well about the food before u even sit to eat the food so that they get more interested and excited on how to swallow. By the way, Ugali has nothing to do with fufu or kokonte at all. Its their form of BANKU, made from corn like us, but theirs barely has water in it, they make the banku very very hard, actually breakable more than pinch and cut like we eat our banku because ours is soft. Thats why they were chewing the kokonte because u guys made it sound like its a softer form of their Ugali...

Seriously! I'm Ghanaian, and even I can't stand all that hot soup over the already soft fufu, making it melt, and eating with others together without separating is just....mm! My dad never ate his fufu with soup over it in the same bowl his whole life, me too, I serve it separately when there is a guest, if it's just me, I never cover the fufu and bury it under soup like that, I like to see the fufu in the middle of the bowl also showing itself, I can't suffer to make fufu and bury it under hot soup to make it disappear to melt it down...besides, it makes the eating way cleaner to enjoy!
