- On my travels I meet lots of breeders and bird lovers, but Serbia overwhelmed me with a great hospitality and extraordinary breeding centers. In this episode you see Istvan & Franjo two breeders which dedicated their lifes to Aviculture. I saw probably the largest sun conure breeding center in Europe and leanred more about the Hybrid Macaws. Istvan and his family welcomed us with an amazing hospitality and i was impressed by the quality of cockatoos he´s breeding each year. Enjoy Part 2 with Istvan & Franjo in Serbia.

ich schätze dich und deine Arbeit wirklich sehr!
Aber ich muss dich fragen, ob du persönlich diese Anlagen wirklich alle für so super hälst. Ich finde sie teils sehr lieb- und reizlos eingerichtet, bei den Grauen teilweise nur eine einzige Stange, nirgends auch nur irgendwo einen frischen Ast mit Blättern gesehen.
Dann die Jungvogel-Räume. Ich finde es bedenklich, die JV so früh (m.E. viel zu früh) von den Eltern zu trennen und dann versucht, diese kleinen "Lern-Volieren" zu rechtfertigen. Bei mir werden die JV solange von den Eltern gefüttert und angeleitet, bis sie selbst fressen. Hat auch den Vorteil, dass sie bestens sozialisiert werden.
Schlimmer finde ich die vielen Handaufzuchten, mittlerweile ist gut bekannt, welche Probleme es nach der Geschlechtsreife mit sich bringen kann.
Ich finde bei diesen großen Beständen hat man irgendwann überhaupt keine Zeit mehr um auch nur annähernd angemessen auf die Bedürfnisse der Vögel eingehen zu können.
Durch Verkäufe der Vögel wird der ganze Spaß natürlich finanziert. Und natürlich ist die Mentalität in diesen Ländern eine andere als hier.
Aber aus meiner Sicht nicht unbedingt eine beispielhafte Papageienzucht.
Würde tatsächlich gerne deine persönliche Meinung zu den genannten Punkten erfahren😊

Hi 🙋♂️ danke für dein Feedback. Nur weil gerade keine frischen Äste zu sehen sind, heißt es nicht das sie keine bekommen. Die Außenvolieren sind vielleicht nicht immer optimal bemessen, doch sind es im Innenraum mindestens 2m. Die Graupapageien, haben somit die Möglichkeit im freien Vitamin D, Regen und viel aus Ihrer Umwelt zu „tanken“, was ein großer Unterschied zu den sog. Stubenhockern ist. Die Handaufzucht von Papageien ist vorrangig erstmal nichts schlechtes, wenn sie ordentlich gemacht wird. Hier wird es perfekt gehandhabt, da die Jungvögel in großen Gruppen aufwachsen. Probleme mit Handaufzuchten gibt es nur bei der Aufzucht Nahe am Menschen, meist alleine, mit zahlreichen Verhaltensauffälligkeiten. Diese Vögel hier in der Gruppe, sind nachdem sie Futterfest sind nicht mehr zahm und lernen zusammen was es heißt, typische Verhaltensweisen zu entwickeln und das Zusammenleben im Schwarm zu erlernen. Die Vögel werden sehr gut versorgt und zeigen ein gesundes Äußeres, sowie arttypische Verhaltensweisen. Ich finde man sollte sich immer persönlich ein Bild von vielem machen (Fütterung, Sauberkeit, Verhalten und Einstellung des Züchters u.v.m) Toll das du bei meinem Kanal dabei bist! Viele Grüße Franz

I like this together too. Now in USDA you do not want anyone to know you have birds or where you live while you having birds. They will steal them. It is not new. It is going on for long time. Perhaps if you are breeding lions you may be safer. It really sucks.
