Someone is still looking after this church. I'm glad.
How beautiful yet sad , sitting alone and unused. Very lovely setting, but so sad. Thank you for showing the world.
Unbelievable having been built in 1800 and surviving radation exposure the church is basically intact. Thanks for the tour.
Jimmy Happy Smith buildings won’t get sick if exposed to radiation xd
In ihrer mit bescheidenen Mitteln errichteten Schönheit steht diese Kirche fast unversehrt nach so einem Unglück da. Ihre Anmut hat mich tief berührt. Danke für das Video.
It looks like it is still being used judging by the state of the grounds and linen.
I really hope you put the peg back in the door to close it!
That's because it was abandoned at most for two months right after the disaster. The orthodox community there were the first people to trespass into the exclusion zone and go back to their homes around the church, they have lived here since with the only casualties being natural causes.
There is a reason why the church received considerable less radiation than the surrounding environment in the initial stage of the disaster, according to the religious attendees of the church at least, but the significant lower radiation levels that we see there today are most likely due to the fact that the place still sees activity like small scale farming and people walking around, etc. much like dust on decorations, the ones that people touch and move around less accumulate more dust than the ones that are constantly being touched and moved around.
No dust floors look great you are trespassing
I thought the same thing. Place is entirely too clean lol
@@heidicarman9097 Technically, yes. It is still in use bot not as much as it was before the nuke plant blew it's top. My guess is that there's a lotta people thinking it's still contaminated by radiation.....which it still could be.....who knows.
You can’t trespass in a church 🙄
Dearest Kappy ; You have the steadiest hand at holding the camera. Amen. When I was done with this video I was relaxed and peaceful. Thank you soo much. Be safe and God bless you!!
Wish you would have secured the door with the wood as you found it when you left...
that would have been the right thing to do.
@@JamesAllmond
*Yeah. It probably would have been the right thing to do. Anyway, thank you for showing us around.*
That's ok, Jesus knocked the door back in place.
@@JamesAllmond I agree
So beautiful. I pray that the window panes can be fixed to maintain the preservation of this beautiful church. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
This church is beautiful. After all the fallout and destruction why is the church so clean and looks like nothing has been disturbed? Something seems really off here
It would be totally impossible for it to be in this condition!
The orthodox where one of the first people to come back after the destruction... They live in the village and most likey still use the church. That would explain why the linens look so clean and neat. I'm sure there's atleast one person who comes back to maintain the church and worship
I think this film about the church near Chernobyl is fake. In the 30 years there were no cobwebs in the church, which was never open to visitors, everything looked as if it had just been cleaned
What pristine condition i have traveled the world and am now content to armchair travel thanks to people like you
oh my god (no pun intended), this is so beautiful. thank you for sharing it with the world. i hope, being there you didn't get too much exposure.
Beautiful video! The choir always sings A Capella no musical instruments.. There are no pews in the Orthodox churches. One stands the service, which can be up to two hours long..
Beautiful
Three… 😉
Thank you for sharing. Lovely architecture. Such attention to detail on the outside trim. I wish you would have translated the writing.
beautiful video. I read the comment below about it not being okay to walk in certain places but given the fact it could burn down etc I'm glad you recorded the images to keep the church alive for those who used to worship there and show it's beauty to those of us far away. I can hear your Geiger counter go up Everytime you around metal.
I think this film about the church near Chernobyl is fake. In the 30 years, in the church, which was never allowed to be visited, there were no cobwebs, everything looked as if it had just been cleaned
Excellent camera work - smooth and slow. Not many out there of this quality. Amazing you don't have more views and comments. The lack of narration is also a plus. (we know what we're looking at). Nice.
Exactly.
Thank you, for the tour, made me a little sad to see it abandoned. I hope it was not harmful for you guys to go to that area.
WHY didn't you talk and WHY didn't you put the peg back in the door as it was when you found it..but any way it's beautiful
I remember watching the movie "Chernobyl". All those innocent people died horrible deaths. Some died quick and others later on. Also the men that worked to keep the radiation contained. All because a few peoples greed in the government. How they tried at the expense of Innocent people to cover it up all just to save face. These few people got their " comeupuns" I'm sure. But now the buildings and structures and also the structure that contains the melted down reactor is all that is left. RIP to all that suffered and died.
5:19 so am i going crazy, or did someone whisper something?
Holy ****
@@danielcidaros5630 I here it too. I was looking threw the comments to see if anyone else did.
also as he was leaving you could hear voices, and it sounds like a woman saying hi.
Yeah I heard that whisper
For sure
So sad the church just sits there decaying. And those gorgeous icons. I'd be tempted to bring them home with me, but I suppose they're radioactive. :/
empty and unused...... but don’t look abandoned
This church is still being used...but no we're near as much as it used to be
This beautiful church is amazing! All of the pix and descriptions. Almost too gorgeous for words! On the other hand, the guy videoing this beautiful church needs a inhaler or breathing treatment! It was a total waist listening to him breathe expecting any second if he is going to stop breathing! I give the building 95 and the guy videoing -2!
I wonder what happened to the original paintings
Absolutely beautiful, well done presentation thank you so much 👍👍👍👍
How does this place smell likr? It amazed me how well preserved is compared to the rest of prypiat
I think it's so clean as they do tours there
They took good care of it until the accident happened and nobody's been there ever since. Some of the stuff looks like someone been there already. Its looks too clean to be abandoned.
It is not appropriate for you to walk through the center only the priest can walk through the Royal doors or stand in front of the Alter table.
John Palomo actually he can go ttrough the center, because if your going to to the nave, you can go through the center
John Palomo but it's abandoned common
Revelation 18:4 seems to be a growing trend
Get real!
Sure?
That church is not abandoned. Either that or Krasne there is no such thing as dust.
+som3e *Thanks for this interior survey of a sanctuary* that the Ukrainian Orthodox Diocese of Chernobyl could have put back into commission if not for the radioactivity. Do the semi-enclosures in the transepts serve choirs for antiphonal psalm leading, as appears the case from other literature on the Eastern Orthodox? I've seen nothing comparable in Catholic or Protestant facilities in the United States.
this was a beautiful church, but as you were walking, i saw a blue ball at : 24 going up then coming back down, again i saw a purple blueish color going right to left, again in side i saw a white looking thing at 5:27 moving.it look like an upside down nail, and the last thing i saw was at 6;02 it was big and red an followed by two circles this could have just been your camera.i really don't know what it was.
This you saw is a under working miracle power moreover the case the place is holy despite the ration act I myself I heard Lady voice might that be an Angel or was some caretakers around?
It’s still being used
Very Beautiful old church, Should Be Saved..
It was saved its in immaculate condition. Also was used by stalkers for like 30 years. Notice all then paintings have been cut out as well. Probably to sell them but at least they were preserved
Sehr schön das nach all den Jahren zu sehen . Danke
Someone is cleaning up the linens in this church and the icons -- if they were not the linens would not be so clean and the glass on the icons would make seeing the icons impossible./
I am very distracted by whatever that low mechanical shine is!! It's very distracting, really. This place is so beautiful, so hard to imagine the silent, invisible killer it was. Someone is clearly caring for it.
Wow! Beautiful.. Looks so clean.
I don't understand why people would abandon the church like that there's so much in it beautiful pictures beautiful windows I just don't get it all I can say is God bless at church and it still House of God
It's Chernobyl, man. Everything was abandoned
So eine schöne Kirche... und der Zaun darum herum auch... Ich hätte sie gern läuten gehört..
This church is way to clean as soon as he entered the church to be abandoned
did you note its Cleen
If only they didn't liquidate this place for thirty years or everything in Chernobyl would be this preserves
I really hope you put the peg back in the door to close it! so no animals get in
Why are churches always so spooky?
Holy Holy Holy is the Lord Our God, i wish i can live there. This will bring me more joy than anything ☦️
Amazing.. what a beautiful n sad place ... respects from Pakistan.
Very rude Video on Halloween and you did not lock the door or close the gate or talk on the Video
Beautiful
Orthodox churches are always beautiful
Anyone else notice the odd voice just after 5:19? Cool vid.
Someone commented the same and other heard it also. Also at the end there seem to be voices and also someone says hi 😳
Radiation level is off the charts.
Show on map where is that village. I can't found in Zone..
very beautiful church inside. thank you for sharing.
Is that someone just standing there at 2:58 ? that scare me.
Dead tree look closely
Hahaha
Are the paintings in the church covered or destroyed forever?
I thought that no one would be safe there for many many many years ? Like more than fifty years from now or longer .... why are people going there ? Isn’t it dangerous?
beautiful find! thanks for sharing!
Interesting design and very narrow starecase
Wow beautiful find!
Love the paint!
Thank you
Thanks a lot from 🇨🇦💋👍⚘
This appeared in Call of Duty and Stalker didn't it? 😎
Never played it.

Notice how life has adapted to the radiation nature always wins
From 5:10 to 5:20 could hear a woman or girl it was freaky as shit, also 8:55 to 9:15 there was a hi or a bye lol wtf
Yes 😳
So sad what happened there! Saw an episode of Jeremy wade, he fished there, and some of those fish looked weird. Radiation!
But life is still there its a living place still
Why the fish-eye lens?
GoPro 4K wide resolution.
Beautiful inside

Call of duty irl lol
Can someone translate the plaque at 3:31?
Google translate:
The Church of the Archangel Michael in the village of Krasno
Built in 1800
Until recently, there were 18 churches in the Chernobyl district. Now only 2 have survived in the city of Chernobyl and in the village of Krasno.
Dear brothers and sisters, Orthodox Christians!
Be merciful, do not let this temple disappear!
After the accident, the temple was devastated, only walls remained. After all, the church is a state of mind.
All the purest man associated with the house of God and anyone who defiles the Church of Christ, can not receive the Kingdom of Heaven.
We ask everyone who crosses the threshold of this Temple to remember that he crossed the threshold of the House of the Heavenly Father, who gave you life.
With the best wishes of God's mercy to all of you, the Church of the Prophet Elijah in the city of Chernobyl, with civil understanding and compassion for this Temple.
Administration of the exclusion zone, as well as the socio-environmental party of people from the first days of the disaster, who have come to your defense.
Chernobyl 2003
Dmitry Fomenko thankyou
Those picture frames are recently new
Yeah it's more than likely someone comes back to take care of the church or maybe more than one person. There's people who still live in Chernobyl and care for the land and such... Many people couldn't just up and move their homes they lived in for so long. So it's highly possible that people come back and care for their Church
@4:26 I heard him queef. .
You forgot to lock up.
Lazy man
Wait that A Chernobyl Power plant 😅😊😊😊
if your not talking turn of your mike because you sound like darthvader from starwars giving a tour in a earth church .
I am your father...
The Soviet Union had Churches?
Of course. Just the religion was not officially accepted.
Lol stalkers cut out all of the paintings 5:40
Should not be there for your own safety....
Awesome church
So much plant life nature wins
Well preserved 🙏
Is this the Church from call of duty ?😳
It is real from the Exclusion Zone.
Sniper in the tower
5:18, escuché una voz😐
Muchos lo escucharon😳 también al final se oyen voces y hasta una mujer diciendo hi 😳
It's still there? What?
3:35 What does it say?? 😳😳😳😳😳😁😊
What is the background noise?
my broken cam stabilyzer
@@som3e oh. I was thinking the radiation. Great video btw.
IS it Greek Orthodox?
What else?
@@annieschmitz9145 Russian Orthodox
....und kein einziges Staubkorn...🤔
Die Kirche wird in regelmäßigen Abständen von zuständigen Pfarrern halbwegs in Schuss gehalten.
Coulda closed the door better 😊🙏
This was BEFORE Russian Soldiers have been there in February 2022.....
Russian soldiers we're not on the left side of the chernobyl zone. The church looks the same now.
What would the Russians do anyway
