my first time in Compton was in 93 right after the Rodney King Riots. We were playing Centennial High in a football game on their turf. When we arrived the Pirus surrounded our bus and made numerous threats (and racial remarks to us). We ended up winning the game and the Gangsters, Centennial Players and their parents all started rushing our team creating a riot. We had to get security and the Compton PD to get us out of there.
