Thanks a ton for that feedback! Will do! - Jonathan
Great! The rain always cools things down, cleans the air and helps everything to live! Yes, continue to discuss the entire state.
Awesome! Will do! Thanks. - Jonathan
I live in Atlanta, but I absolutely love your forecasting. Our meteorologists here in Atlanta does a great job, but I love listening to you. I graduated from University Of Florida, so I’ve been watching your network for a long time. But you definitely do a great job 👏🏾 keep up the good work, but I have parents who reside in Savannah Georgia so I’m always interested in the tropics because it affects my parents and they’re elderly. Thanks Jonathan 😊
Really appreciate that my friend! Will keep the tropics updates rolling! - Jonathan
Yes, the localize outlooks per region are great. Thanks for trying something new!

I really enjoy your honesty and direct no frills reporting.. Hey I live in Lake City and love the north forecast!!!.
Thanks Jonathan.
You are welcome!
Thanks for the forcast! For some reason Florida gets kind of overlooked as for the weather forcast, I guess it is because we call it the Sunshine State, instead of The Hurricane Target State!
No kidding! Thanks for the feedback! - Jonathan

Yes in Ocala.

You are right. We do want to know the weather. But no one in Orlando needs to know it is 3 degrees cooler in Panama City. WE WANT TO KNOW THE WEATHER.
You see we don't get "The Weather." The weather during the news used to spend more effort showing us WHY the weather prediction is what it is. I do not need to know there is 20% more chance of rain in Tampa and Jax, and 10% less in Naples.
I want to believe what you are predicting is really going to happen. And I need facts and theories to do that.
I want you to give us MORE weather, Show us more stuff on Jet Streams and Cold Fronts that will impact our weather. Or fronts that are getting closer to give me hope that Fall (mid 80's) is coming. Screw that it is two degrees cooler in Cocoa bch. No one gives a "darn." We want to know why you predict what you predict....even throw in some good old agricultural stuff like ground moisture/humidity if it helps explain the forecast.
In case you are doing this channel because "Mr Weatherman" from an opposing station is doing "Weather on the tropics" by reporting on rain and temperature in The Islands, DON'T! His channel is just about worthless unless you have an Auntie in Trinidad that you can call and discuss the weather, Mon. I had high hopes when I first saw his channel. He panders to the least knowledgeable aspect of the audience.
Educate us on what and WHY! By knowing why we can tell if the prediction is likely or not.
So broaden your scope if it will help us understand your forecasts. But not just to tell me Key West just got .2 inches of rain in the last hour.
Thanks for the feedback….but you may have missed it. I went into extensive coverage in this video on why the pattern is changing. I showed the jet stream and the upper level pattern to show why the storm chances are lower. I essentially showed the work of why the forecast is the forecast. The how and why the weather is doing what it’s doing is the backbone of these videos. But impacts of what the pattern is creating are important to. I will certainly dive deeper on what you ask. That’s what I love about it. So Thank you!! - Jonathan
Yes you did. but you also spent quite a bit of screen time showing the temps and rain chance over the state, which adds very little to the forecast because we know if it is 90 in Orlando it is 86-92 in Daytona Beach. Viewers look for the BIG PICTURE to see how and why the weather they are in is occurring.
You can tell me it is going to be 84 in Lake City and that does not tell me squat if you don't tell me that a cold front is the cause and not just a Thunderstorm.
I am just saying that wasting time going over what the temp will be for every 40 miles in Florida give very little useable information as to what the weather is going to be.
Now I am going to tell you how it was. I am old.
My Dad was the man in my neighborhood. Montgomery AL in the 1960's. People would call him up after the 10 o'clock news and ask him what the weather was going to be like tomorrow.
The reason they called him is because he would watch ALL THREE weather forecasts on the tv. And he could determine the weather better than any of the three weathermen. He would stand next to the tv for that 3 minutes. All the big 3 tv channels had the weather at the same part of their newscast in an attempt to make you pick which one you wanted.
But my dad had figured out that each of the three had their strengths and weaknesses Such as telling how high the river would flood, or cloud cover, or change in wind would occur. So he would flip between the three and try and catch the best parts of all three. And then he'd get in his mind whether to go fishing or hunting or play golf the next day. And his friends would call him if they were going to do something similar because he was better than any ONE of the three sources he used,
It was back when they used a marker on a white board or a glass pane over a map.
I like to think I am his son. I figured out one thing that holds well.
I used to lifeguard the Beaches in Brevard for 10 years. ON my walk to my car in the morning I could tell within 2 seconds where and when it was going to rain that day.
If there was already wind coming off the ocean there will be no rain at the beach. Any thunder clouds will be forming further inland and will be pushed west. if there isn't a wisp of wind at 9 in the morning the rain will likely form inland and stay there.
But if there is a slight offshore wind then it will rain at the beaches. How strong the wind determines how late in the day that will happen. The stronger the reverse sea breeze the later in the day it will storm.
But also that reverse sea breeze meant that it was going to be miserable on the lifeguard stand because the reverse sea breeze had to be neutralized by the sea breeze. And before that happened both winds would stop. Sitting in a lifeguard stand at 1130 in the morning with zero wind in the Summer is never good. You could sit for an hour with so little breeze the ocean surface would be glassy.
But then you'd see it! the first ripples of the sea breeze on the surface. And you could watch it come across the ocean to you...and all would be good.,@@News6WKMG

Welcome!! And thank you! - Jonathan
perfect
Thanks! - Jonathan
Why does the greater Tampa Bay Area seems to dodge hurricanes?
It’s honestly the luck of the draw…but steering currents would favor storms to lift north to the Panhandle if they came through the Gulf from the Caribbean. If there’s a dip in the Jet Stream like there was with Charley and Ian the storm tends to feel that push east and starts going east towards SW Florida. - Jonathan
Just subscribed your channel! 👍
Appreciate that! Welcome! - Jonathan

What but Grenada 🇬🇩
You guys will see some rain from that disturbance moving through. Watching the second one closely. - Jonathan
Where are the storms coming from? It is impossible for these storms to come from nowhere, going to no where in the presence of DUST! The weather should be clear. This is silly. What a cartoon cut out forcast. Florida needs no more engineering in its weather of rain that should not be there.
