    Now that makes perfect sense, dropping tiny bits of solder in place using the flux to both hold temporarily and help it flow as it heats! This is quite possibly a game changer for me where PE is concerned! Awesome tutorial Rick, thanks buddy!🤙

    Hm. You didn't show how you mount locks on the boxes! It's most interesting part :)
    But video is still very very interesting

    great tutorial once more, i am really enjoying your craft. buuuut, out of all the things you use, hardest to find is an old paint brush :D

      You made me laugh!!! I know that it is silly, but it also might be the most important. Thank you.

      Happy to make you laugh :D having a brush that is comfortable and sized to your way of use seems to be very important, but also super hard to find if you have just begun, 3 years and 20+ models after, i still couldn't find mine...

    Will you be doing weld beads on this project?

    • @RickLawlerPropaganda
      @RickLawlerPropaganda  2 роки тому

      Greg, not really. I enhanced a few of the flame cuts in episode 1, and I did a little bit of weld work as I am completing the model, but didn't film that part (my bad). It isn't significant, I'll make a point of doing a deeper dive into welds in the future. Thanks.

    Doesn’t the PE get hot holding it while soldering?

    • @RickLawlerPropaganda
      @RickLawlerPropaganda  2 роки тому

      Yes. After a while you either learn how to hold it or just accept a few burns!

    great video Rick...What type of soldering wire are you using?

    • @RickLawlerPropaganda
      @RickLawlerPropaganda  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Joe. This is a 60/40 rosin core (I have no idea what that means) that I purchased from Radio Shack years ago. I have a couple of rolls of this that I bought years ago, more than I'll use in a lifetime!

    Another great video Rick. I do have a quick question, What type of Flux are you using?

    • @RickLawlerPropaganda
      @RickLawlerPropaganda  2 роки тому

      Hey Grant...thanks. I have a number of brands of flux, the only thing that I look for is that it is Flux Paste vs. I believe that there is a liquid flux. I'm not particular, I just go to the hardware store and get whatever is on the shelf.

    Hey Rick, I'm writing an angry letter to Susan Wojcicki for not recommending your videos to me until now!
