Hi
I am your new subscriber
I like your color grading techniques and video editing tricks
But i can not download the free lut 😣😣
Please help🙏🙏🙏🙏
Do your lut packs come with the ability to put in camera?
So it's better to apply your LUT/Adjustments before you do your color space transform? Because you are editing in in the wider gamut vs when you do it after then you are working in whatever color space you just transformed to (ie. re709), therefore having less data to work with? Is that correct or am I wrong? Great tutorial btw!
You are correct with the second part, but the sequence should be as follows: Individual adjustments -> CST -> Grading LUT
For example if you have a shot that is slightly too dark or you want to push the saturation, you should do that before CST or grading.
It depends on if its a rec709 lut or a log to rec conversion lut
I typically highlight all my clips once they have been imported and set “input color space” to slog 3 (Sony user).
Would this method be better than how I am doing it now? Since I am not technically using a node to convert to Rec 709.
It's always better to adjust before the CST. Since you're editing a large amount of data instead of a smaller amount in rec709.
@@edouhoekie thanks for the info!
You should set slog 3 and the correct gamut in the davinci color management settings (gear-icon in the bottom right). That way your footage will be graded very naturally. For instance, increasing the exposure would behave like you actually did it in camera. I don't know if this is achieved by your method as well, but I'd think no.

#2 grading with Premiere Pro
I think this video is false, as my footage dont clip even after doing adjustment after CST. The key is to turn tone mapping off in the CST as it is designed to make your footage clip to a certain luminance and is irreversable.
