    The sound they're making that sound like laughter is actually called ululation. Women generally do it when there's a celebration or event

      Oh wow really? Okay I vibe with that sound heavy!

      @@KurtyFloLive That's the vibe, that sound suppose to make you feel. But lots of other cultures ululate too.

    Hi! You asked if we do this everyday before school, these "war-cries" normally happen before big sport events or something representing the school.

  • @16224
    @16224 3 роки тому +19

    We used to do this in my school during lunch or free time, where we gathered as a class and started to singing

    It says "siyazalana mama" we are all related. the children are saying we all human beings. it is a Xhosa gwijo in South Africa. That gwijo is soo deep if this could spread through human race ...there would be less conflict...

    I think that’s why these kids when they get to college they change governments! Schoolers movements are so important in Africa and Asia and the middle-east . Private schools are where men are made and women are made into activists and society influencers . Here in Sudan in the late revolution high schoolers and college students did everything!

    I empathize with these lads. I went to a boy's private school also. Despite the fact it was in the USA it had a 'UK public school' atmosphere, competition between classes, everyone called by their last names, etc.
    Kurty, unless I'm greatly mistaken, these events are not like the USA's 'Friday Night Lights'. This is gameday. There will be probably 3 matches played by each schools different grade levels finishing up with the 'varsity' match.

    • @KurtyFloLive
      @KurtyFloLive  3 роки тому

      Yeah Friday night lights is more of an entire experience glued together by one American Football game. Still the spirit is the same just amplified by the South African Schools, their performances literally blow ours out of the water lol
